I went with "yes, very spicy please" and it was good, but had some room to go hotter before I would call it "very" spicy. Service was lightning fast and friendly. Don't let the weird location scare you off, the food is actually very good. We had a couple of the veggie rice noodle soups and some spring rolls. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the veggies were fresh. The service was excellent as well. read more

I'm happy to see a sit down Thai place in the mall finally. There is a great food truck but it is not always available, and being able to get drinks and desserts is wonderful. I had the pad Thai with beef, I ordered it spicy which was not that spicy actually, I should've said hot. But it was fantastic, some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Likewise, the Thai iced tea with Boba is delicious. Well-balanced, the Boba is chewy but not too chewy, A great complement to the pad Thai. The only letdown was the fried banana. It seemed like it had been taken out of a packaged container and heated up in a microwave. The ice cream itself was delicious that it came with, but compared to everything else on the menu, it was three stars. I'm not saying they should take it off the menu, I'd rather have it there, but they should improve that item so that it's actually good and crisp. We needed to pick up food for dinner and this Thai place did not disappoint. We pretty much customized everything we ordered. The lady taking the order was super nice and so accommodating. The place it self was very clean and inviting. We ordered chicken satay, and Thai basil with ground beef (made them without fish or oyster sauce since my wife is allergic to seafood), Seafood Tom Yum (with shrimp, fish and scallops, no mushrooms, and bell peppers) 2 seafood basil fried rice (one not spicy and 1 spicy with no bell pepper) 1 Thai tea. The rice was flavorful and had the right amount of vegetables to rice ratio. I am from California, I'm used to getting good Thai food. If you're ever in Denver, I would highly recommend this place. My family went to Thai Lanna for our first time last night. We almost didn't stay because there was no one else there and it seemed maybe more hole-in-the-wall than I was in the mood for, but then we decided to stay. I'm so glad we did! The woman who took our orders was incredibly friendly and cheerful and accommodating. The food was delicious and fresh and came out really quickly. The fresh spring rolls were especially tasty. We ordered the fried tofu, the beans, fried egg rolls, a curry dish and some noodle dishes, and all were delicious. The flavoring of everything was spot on, and the whole experience was like being in someone's personal kitchen. Very cozy and friendly. We've found a new place in Denver to come back to! read more

Stumbled across this place while walking up 16th St. mallall looking for a reasonable place to eat. The food here was extremely good and very authentic. We loved everything we ate. This was an unexpected find right off the 16th Street Mall. The venue is not very fancy, but the food was very good and the chef was excellent about accommodating one of us who had a very long list of dietary restrictions. The portion was hefty, leaving enough to take home for several more meals. And considering the location, the prices were actually reasonable. I went there for lunch specials and specifically ordered off the lunch menu; only 5 tables had patrons. This is the first Thai place I've been to that charges for rice. Ugh! I could tell they're all about running up the tab. Whatever, I got the drunken noodles. My drunken noodles had enough vegetables but were very greasy. Tom yum soup was bland. When the check came I got charged non-lunch menu price because "it was a holiday". Really? I ordered directly from the lunch menu. The waitress said sorry she forgot to tell me about that. Thai Lanna is operated by a Thai family in the basement of a struggling shopping mall. There is signage outside but it could be missed if you blinked. My first review but I was so disappointed especially for the price I wanted to write something. We ordered the pad see ewe, drunken noodles, and green curry. The pad see ewe had no seasoning or spice. Drunken noodles are typically spicy and yet I ate it without tasting any spice. The only flavor I could taste on either noodle dish was oil. The green curry came with barely any rice. It did have more heat and more flavor but still not much. The vegetables look like they were frozen. Really disappointing. read more

I ate dinner at Thai Lanna and gave the server my credit card for payment. She returned and told me my card had been declined after running it 3 times. I then gave her my debit card for payment. The next day I checked my accounts and the server charged me twice for my meal -- once on my credit card and once on my debit card.
