My drunken noodles barely had any sauce or veggies, was just a massive pile of noodles clumped together with a sprinkling of very overcooked, dry chicken. We (a party of four) ordered chicken curry, stir-fry fish, Pad Thai noodles, and appetizers. The portions were small, the curry was watery, and overall the food was mediocre. To make matters worse, a 20% tip was automatically added to our bill without our knowledge, so we almost ended up tipping twice. About 15 minutes before closing, the host began loudly saying "thank you, thank you" while removing about to be finished plates from under our forks -- even though we were still eating -- which felt rushed and quite rude. The seating was also uncomfortable, with small hard chairs and tables. Don't let the location turn you away-this little gem is tucked under the stairway in a building on 16th street-but give the soups and the curries a try ! I had a delicious white pizza, gelato and soda all for only $13.48 plus tax. Your Pie in Thornton has variety of create your own pizzas where you walk up to the line and choose your toppings. The crust was a perfectly crispy and delicious. The music was not too loud and the interior temperature was just right. I plan on returning soon. read more

I ordered Pad Thai with chicken for takeout. The food was ready SO fast, within 10 minutes. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice when I stopped by to pick up. Definitely an interesting setting, reminded me of a mall food court. The Pad Thai was tasty and Thai Lanna did not skimp on the chicken or peanuts, which is always a win! I ordered medium spice level and thought the dish was a true medium. I came in because I didn't want standard 16th street restaurants and the Yelp reviews were good. This place didn't disappoint! Here's what I had: Spring rolls- nice flavor! All the ingredients tasted fresh and the rolls were nice sized. 5 of 5 stars! Chicken Pad Thai- Nice flavor, good sized chicken and plenty of noodles. 4 of 5 stars! Service- Outstanding! Since moving to downtown Denver, we have been in full on exploration mode, especially restaurants within walking distance from our condo. That was the whole point of moving from the suburbs to downtown, the walkability factor. We also love Thai cuisine and when we found out that this place was opening soon, we were hoping it would not disappoint. I came here for take out once and tonight we stopped in for the full experience. This place was completely an antonym of disappointment, let's go with triumphant. The food here is simply off the charts for Thai cuisine. We tried the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Garlic Green Beans and Drunken Noodles. They were all equally and unequivocally delicious and full of flavor. I can't comment on the spice factor as we typically order mild to medium...yeah I know. The interior is clean and I do like the bamboo wall separating the space from the lobby area. The service is also super friendly and genuine. Located underneath 16th street mall, Thai Lanna is a very solid Thai spot that gets the job done. They have great deals on beers for $5 and house sake for $9. We stopped by for a dinner before a show at paramount, and were very pleased with all items on the menu. The service was attentive and quick, with one lady somehow managing the entire front of house. I got the pad Thai - Thai spicy and it was fantastic. I would recommend getting Thai spicy if you're used to eating spicy food, as it was not overwhelming. Definitely would return. This is nice little simple hole in wall Thai spot in Denver. I don't understand some of the negative reviews but I think the food is excellent (and that's coming from living in the DMV where there is an abundance of good Thai food). If I only wish for one thing it's that the portions would be a little bigger but for the price point it is solid food. The ambiance is pleasant and the lady who is the server is awesome with how she handles multiple tables single handedly and never gets overwhelmed. Personal recommendations - for appetizers go with the steamed dumplings and Tom Kha soup (medium spicy and a hot soup do wonders in cold weather. Popped by here during lunch time on a weekday with my friend . I was surprised to see this little restaurant tucked away at the bottom of a stairway. It looked like a majority of the building is actually offices. There is minimal staff, but we were seated and got our food quickly. We had the drunken noodles, stir fried green beans, spring rolls and red curry. I would definitely recommend the green beans and curry. The green beans were crunchy, crispy and lined with garlic flavors. The red curry was creamy (not watery) and had just enough spice to mix well with rice. I ordered the Pad Thai and Thai tea boba to go. The portions for the noodles were nice, noodles nice and chewy, and good protein portion as well. I didn't love the flavor profile, it was a bit too sweet for my liking. But the Thai tea was good, boba was nicely cooked and I asked for light ice so it was decent. Overall I may return for a different dish but pad Thai wasn't my favorite. It was also hard to find this place, it's located inside of 16th street mall so you need to find street parking. But perhaps I had an even harder time with all of the construction going on... Parking aside, when you do find the place, you have to go down a set of stairs. It's not the let welcoming environment because it's dark but I will say there are high ceilings and lots of seating space. I am torn because I think if I am downtown shopping on 16th, I'd return to try another dish. I had the pad Thai with beef, I ordered it spicy which was not that spicy actually, I should've said hot. But it was fantastic, some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Likewise, the Thai iced tea with Boba is delicious. Well-balanced, the Boba is chewy but not too chewy, A great complement to the pad Thai. The only letdown was the fried banana. It seemed like it had been taken out of a packaged container and heated up in a microwave. The ice cream itself was delicious that it came with, but compared to everything else on the menu, it was three stars. I'm not saying they should take it off the menu, I'd rather have it there, but they should improve that item so that it's actually good and crisp.
