My two sons and I went Thai Lemongrass and it was very good. We ordered Hot Basil Beef, Tempura Chicken and Shrimp, and Mee Pad. The food was excellent. Service was a little slow but there was only one server handling everyone. She was very nice but with a decent crowd on a Wednesday night she was playing catch up quite a bit. Our first time at Thai Lemongrass - we went for lunch and were extremely impressed. The prices for lunch specials are very reasonable and there was plenty of food for us (myself and friend). I had Spicy Basil Shrimp - the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, the basil sauce had the right amount of heat. I like hot and was provided with extra chili oil. Excellent and fresh tasting vegetables and very good sushi. The chicken wings were awesome (spring for the Thai sauce for an extra $1, it's worth it). Dined in a few weeks ago, got take out this weekend. Our experience eating there: Waited forever for our food but it was delicious. Sangria is not sangria, it's wine poured straight from the bottle with canned pineapple chunks and maraschino cherries thrown in - disappointing. Meatball skewers had an odd chewiness, sort of dry... but flavor was good. Meats in the entrees were very tender. Again, waited what seemed like FOREVER for our food. I felt the salad dressing had an off putting raw onion flavor, but BF who hates raw onions, loved it. In addition to waiting an unusually long time for the food we waited forever to get the check and pay too. Painfully slow (literally and figuratively... I couldn't tolerate sitting there much longer). The table behind us found a hair in their food. Embarrassing. But they were impressed, as was I, that the girl was instructed to the bring both the original rice (with hair) and fresh rice to the table to show they hadn't just put it in a new bowl. Slightly awkward conversation/presentation but I think it showed great integrity. I've talked it up to my family and will definitely be back. Very unassuming from the parking lot, I'd call it hidden gem. Hopefully the slow service (waitress was very sweet otherwise!) was a fluke. read more

First time ordering here and had takeout. As many of the reviews state it does take a little more time than most other restaurants to process your order but knowing that going in makes it easier to deal with. The food is great which also makes it worth the wait. Definitely recommend. read more

We went when they first opened and service and food was very good. We went back a few weeks later and the service was very poor (despite not being busy at all) - we figured maybe off night. My husband and I went back again for dinner last night. It was dead - maybe 4 tables total, we were seated, waited about 10 mins for the waiter to come over. Zach came over, apologized (clearly looked sweaty like he was the only one running around). He took our order. As we sat for the next 35 MINS - the child at the table near us coughed over and over for 30 mins. It turned our stomach as he was obviously sick (not sure why he was out). Not really our business until one of the workers, invited him over to roll sushi with him behind the counter where the sushi is prepared. The child then helped the women behind the counter prepare food as he was coughing non stop. It completely grossed us out so we told the waiter and he said our food was not being prepared at the sushi station. After almost 40 mins, our order of fresh rolls, crab rangoons and fried rice came out. The food was okay (not great) but the whole experience was so poor we just wanted to eat and leave. The waiter apologized for the wait and when we made mention about them letting a sick boy help prepare customers food out in the open while coughing non-stop - he said he asked the worker and she said it was a family friend. Zach was very nice and clearly just a waiter and had no control over how they run their business but it was unsanitary and very unprofessional. Will not be back. read more

Bought a take out order of Crab Rangoon for $6.95. You could hardly see any crab meat in it, whatever the white mix that was in it(probably cheese) was runny and watery and extremely sweet. What is happening in the quality of restaurant's food nowadays, especially around the Webster area, where main street is a fast food land! read more

I live in town and work nearby so I've ordered takeout from Lemongrass a few times. The food is quite good, but the kitchen and service is slow and a little unprofessional. I called to order takeout last night-- Friday. I was asked to hold and the host set the phone aside while I listened to papers rustling and conversation between servers for about four minutes. When she took my order (one noodle dish) she said it would be 35-40 minutes. Wow... I guess I should have called earlier. They had an online ordering option (love that- so convenient) but a different host told me two weeks ago that they disabled it because there were problems with receiving orders on time. Too bad. I hope they can work out a new online option. Still, the food is really quite good and the lunch prices are reasonable. (I recommend the Ladna.) I think they could easily bump up to a four or five star spot if they just improve a couple things, and I hope to review them again in the future. Lemongrass is still a new place in town so I think they are figuring it out. And it's still definitely one of the nicer spots in Webster. Give it a try if you're in the mood for Thai food. read more

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible service. Went in on our lunch break. Sat down at 12:05 ordered Pineapple fried rice, chicken fingers, crab rangoons and house rice......still no order at 12:40. The place was not busy. Asked Zach the waiter if we could get it to go because our lunch was almost over. He said 'oh yeah, no problem'. At 12:50 we walked out with NOTHING!!!!!! No one helped us, no one checked on us, not one person even told us 'oh just a few more minutes'...NOTHING. As we were leaving told the person at the front by the cash register that we had no choice but to leave....they didn't even care. She said that this happens all the time. We sat from 12:05 to 12:50 (ordered a pretty regular order) and got NOTHING! Never will I give this place a dime of my money. Ridiculous!!!!!!!! read more

Don't be fooled by the exterior (located in a nearly abandoned strip mall): This was the best dining experience I've had in Central MA, next to Metrot Bistrot in Southbridge. I love Thai food, especially a nice zesty soup, and the Tom Ka here is second to none. We had the Hot Basil Stir Fry and the Black Dragon maki, both presented beautifully and tasted fresh and flavorful. Our server was quite attentive and my date and I were having such a nice time, we even opted to stay for fried ice cream after the meal. Webster is desperately lacking in a quality, diversified food scene and I am thrilled to support a new family-owned place with quality product, atmosphere and service. read more

Drinks get empty and sit there as people keep walking by... Finally I kindly ask for them to refill the drinks. An hour goes by. Still no food.. We finally said we cannot wait any longer. Paid for the 2 beers and left. Found out our food still was not being made...! First time ever walking out of a restaurant without getting food. Glad we did not stay. We will not be back! Food: 4 stars. Online ordering: 4 stars. Wait: -4 stars. I made an online order at 11:34, got to the restaurant at 12:05, and got my food at 1:20. Yes, that's almost a 2 hour wait. It was a large order, 8 items, but 2 hours was just too much, especially when there were tons of people coming in, sitting down, getting their food, eating, and leaving before I saw anything of my food. I was not the only one waiting, either, multiple people were waiting 90-120 minutes for their orders. The food itself was quite good, and I will go back again, except this time I will go sit down in person, because it is clear that they cook the in-person orders before the to go or delivery. In short: They need to hire more people for the lunch rush. There are at least two large(500+ people) companies within 2 miles that produce just too much demand, especially on Fridays. read more

Lemongrass is a hidden jewel well worth seeking out. Everything I've tried has been good, but I just had the best bowl of Tom Ka ever. Finally one with some flavor and a little heat. Tonight they were out of noodles for the Ladna so I tried the Pad Thai, not expecting much. It was fabulous. A wonderful balance of flavors and very complementary to the soup. This was not my first visit and as always I found the staff friendly and helpful. Which means a lot as I have food allergies and have to ask a lot of questions. Food is really good. Can't beat the prices. A similar menu with similar quality in a city would be at least twice the price. Food is always cooked fresh with fresh ingredients, you can just tell by the texture and taste. Nice variety to the menu, offering not only the Thai favorites but Chinese appetizers, sushi, and Pho. Thai Lemongrass is the saddest story of missed potential. I have ordered here on a few occasions, so am familiar with the slower than average service. I stopped dining in because of how slow they can be, but today... Today was likely the last time I'll go there. Which is sad, because their Thai is actually not bad. I called in an order today. 3 apps and a soup. I was told that the order would take 35 minutes. So we arrived after about 30 minutes and paid for the order. While waiting, another woman came in, paid for her order and added a Thai tea to the order. The hostess placed the order, went back to the bar and got the Thai tea and brought to the woman waiting. Then disappeared. About 5 minutes later, she returned to the woman asking if she could take her lunch order - it had been sitting out waiting for her the whole time. After out 35 minute window expired I was told it would be a few more minutes for the Nim Chow. The only order that did not require cooking... Another five minutes passed and we were again told it would be a few more minutes. My boyfriend sighed, and said, we called over 35 minutes ago, can you please check on the order. I should mention there was one table sitting and one person at the bar this whole time. The hostess went back to check on the food. While she was back a couple walked in. Again, this restaurant is basically empty. A waitress in unwashed, messy hair in a pony tail, wearing see through black leggings and a dirty sweatshirt told the new couple she would have to clean a table for them to sit. She turned around and left. The couple looked around at the empty restaurant and immediately left. Meanwhile, we still don't have our order, and I ordered it 45 minutes before. So we went back to the kitchen as the hostess had yet to return. She walked back out and said to us,"Here's your order and in the future I'd appreciate it if you didn't huff." I advised her that due to the restaurant's service, they'd lost not only us as a customer, but also another couple that they did not even wait on. And it's truly a shame. The food's not bad. I came here before and had a great dining experience. However, when I recently returned to the restaurant I was very disappointed. The service was slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty. By the time we got some waters for the table, we were told that the restaurant was BYOB, which was new since the last time I came here, not sure if they lost their liquor license or not. We were also told there was no sushi as they ran out of rice. We opted for just appetizers, and the steamed dumplings were not even hot by the time they got to the table.
