We were FINALLY able to try the food here, and I'm so glad I made my husband lift his ban on this place (we had tried to come another time and the hours they had listed were incorrect so we ended up wasting a lot of time to come here and then not even get to try the food, eek!). It's great to know there is a Thai place closer to home than others that is actually good! I have been searching for a good place to get calamari, and THIS spot actually does a fantastic job! I'm so glad I trusted the other two reviews here that said it's a dish that's worth getting. They're crunchy and not way too salty like other places. I really enjoyed them! I'm glad I did, because the dish my daughter and I planned to share ended up being 85% for her because she loved it so much! She just devoured those pad see ew noodles! We even chose spicy level 2 (usually she would want a 1, but I knew I'd prefer a little heat), and it wasn't hard to eat even for a 5 year old! My husband ordered his curry "Thai Hot" and it was hot enough for him - win! When he cries because of spiciness, we know we've found a winner! The flavors were good too. He commented that it may have been a little salty for him though, despite how much he enjoyed it! The service was respectful and friendly. There seemed to only be 1 server when we were there, so it was a little slow to get our order in, but the food came out of the kitchen quickly. I am confident that we'll be back. I'm sure my daughter will insist we get those noodles again soon (and I wouldn't mind returning for more calamari and another Thai Iced Tea!). read more

I'm new to the area and found Thai Lotus online. The staff and owner are extremely nice, the restaurant is impeccably clean and the food is very delish. I ordered the green curry with chicken. There was an abundance of perfectly cooked white meat chicken and veggies. The spice was spot on and overall a great experience. The owner percy was Soo nice. I came to get takeout shortly before they were set to close. Everyone was super friendly and my order was done and packed up very well within the 10-15 minute timeframe I was told. Would not hesitate to go back to this restaurant. What a culinary expression! The servant, the food, and the table visit by the Chef and owners made this brunch a delightful dining experience. The Chef treated us to a wonderful new creation of his that he wanted to receive feedback on. It consisted of grilled eggplant, spicy beef and a shredded vegetable garnish. The flank steak was cooked to perfection. The eggplant was a great grilled consistency and the vegetables were nice and crunchy, adding a delightful medley of textures and flavors to my palette. Oh my! I'm sure it will be added to the menu and when it does, you're definitely want to partake of it. AND...please, please, please treat yourself to the Mango and Sticky Rice dessert. Nothing will replace Thai Villa's panang curry as my desert island food, but we've eaten here 4 times now (1 dine-in, 3 takeout) and everything I've had has been anywhere from pretty good to excellent. Tonight I ordered the spicy basil duck and it was *fantastic*. Crispy fried duck and a basil sauce with a good amount of heat and flavor, plus broccoli and carrots. We also got the chicken larb and the flavor and spiciness were spot on. They also were thoughtful in the takeout packaging: duck and veggies were separate from the rice and the sauce came in its own container, so the duck stayed crispy despite the 10 minute drive home. The one time we ate in the restaurant, the server was friendly and the decor a little nicer than you'd expect in a strip mall Thai place. My husband and I ate here for dinner tonight and as soon as we got home, we headed straight for the bathrooms. Both of us have yet to leave them... Our dishes were both incredibly salty and overly sweet, at the same time. After 1/3 of my dish was eaten, I just wanted to lie down and focus on trying to breathe deeply. My pad thai was such a singular flavor throughout the entire dish; there was no relief at all on the plate. $5 for Thai tea, and $15 for veggie pad thai and pad see ew... seriously? They brought my husband's plate out, and after almost 10 minutes, finally brought mine... I absolutely hate that. No comment from the manager, no apology let alone a comp. of some kind. I'm not looking for a free meal, but I expect a little integrity from a restaurant that I've spent over $50. I'm not sure how my entree was made but I'd compare it to: not rinsing your pasta after boiling, so it was just a gloppy, thick, dry mess. We will not coming back here read more

The food was just okay. The Pad Thai had more of a Indian curry taste to it than the typical Thai curry taste I have had in Thailand and throughout the US. I don't know if they were trying to make it different or not, but it did not taste like authentic Thai food. My wife and I get takeout about every other week. I typically get the Pad Thai with chicken. It's a very generous portion and tastes wonderful. I always order mine hot and it's usually just spicy enough to give me a sniffle or two. My wife always gets the coconut soup and sometimes orders two to take one to her mother. It's slightly sweet and delicious. We tried other menu items and enjoyed them all. read more

We went to Thai Lotus a few days ago. We ordered a soup and fried tofu as appetizers. Both were very good. The soup was very flavorful! We both ordered noodle entrees, one with chicken and the other with tofu. They were both very delicious! We wish we would have had room for the mango sticky rice for dessert! I would have liked to have seen a few more speciality entrees besides seafood dishes. Overall, very tasty food and I hope their business picks up soon! read more

I've been back another couple of times. I had the Pork Pad Prik for dinner. Again, the meat was fine but not enough fat to be juicy and tender. God forbid there should be some fat in the meat or people will whine and complain. So not the restaurants fault at all. I went for lunch and had the Spicy Eggplant with Tofu. It was freaking amazing!!! I will definitely have that one again. And probably default to tofu going forward for most dishes. Next up I will have to try the Pad Thai which will be the real litmus test for Thai food. The owner could not be nicer. Really seems to care about his customers. read more

My party was vegetarian, and they got the order right. However, the Tom Ka soup was not very flavorful and the Drunken Noodles were sweeter than Pad Thai, when they are supposed to be on the savory side. The service was good as well. My daughter enjoyed the food, but agrees that they could have done better with the Tom Ka and Drunken Noodles. She loved the spicy basil fried rice. My little one loved the food, but he liked the noodles more. I am probably not going to visit there anymore, there are better options closer to me. read more

I ordered the Pad See Ew. There was no depth to the dish. Flavors if he dish didn't come together. The noodles didn't absorb the flavor of the sauce. Was disappointed for the price I paid. Will update rating when I give the place another try. I'm hopeful it will be better. read more
