Really bad service and lots of rushing throughout our entire visit. The staff repeatedly came to our table every few minutes asking if we were done, which made us feel extremely pressured and uncomfortable. We were not given enough time to relax, enjoy our conversation, or properly eat our meal. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt rushed to leave from the moment our food arrived. Stopped by for a quick dinner and found Thai Namtip while searching for something tasty and spicy. What a great find! The Tom Kha Goong soup was incredible -- I ordered spice level 7/10, and it was just right. The Thai spicy fish with vegetables was packed with flavor, and the Massaman curry was excellent. We even got to sample a Thai vegetable pancake, which was surprisingly delicious. Service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the small dining area had a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. As a vegetarian, I loved it. I got the garlic stir fry. Vegetables were cooked to perfection and sauce was amazing.

Used to come here a lot and through the years came here less I guess because it's out of the way and not thinking about it. Finally came back and it was just as good as last time which was a couple of years. The last time I reviewed this place was 11 years ago. I had the shrimp hot and sour soup and shrimp Pad Kee Mao noodles which was wonderful. My wife had the pot stickers and the chicken broccoli and she loved it. We first visited Thai Nam Tip about a week ago, and we have been back 3 times since! The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistent! Each dish has been consistently amazing each and every time we have been in. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the food comes out pretty fast! Their establishment is also extremely clean and they are very quick to clean tables as soon as you leave! Love the atmosphere and cozy feeling. We got the chicken satay, tofu panang curry, shrimp red curry, southern style fried rice, tom yum soup, and drunken noodles. So far a Hit or Miss... Been here 3 times now and my best experience was our first take out order. My pictures are of the take out order, looks good right? That's because It was! Sadly my other 2 experience were not so good. First experience, we got in an hour before closing and this may be why our hostess was grumpy and seemed annoyed with us, we did not feel very welcomed, but anyway we ordered the Namtip combo platter to start and it was just not for us. Tasted overly fried and greasy, Spring rolls mushy. I ordered chicken ramrong and is was not to bad sauce was good but chicken tasted dry or overcooked. Second experience was the best, this was the take out order #1 I had the Chicken Pad Thai and wow this was so good, yet chicken still tasted a bit dry or over cooked. But I was excited that I found my dish and will order it again. My husband really enjoyed his Pork Basil stir-fry Third experience was frustrating. Ordered take out again and was really excited about having the chicken pad Thai. I was so annoyed with how bad the chicken was. I don't know if I got the end of the batch of chicken they cooked that day or what really tasted like the couple days before... it was so dry and not fresh at all, even had some questionable looking pieces. I'm even starting to think they just cook all this chicken in one big pot and just toss the pieces into what ever dish calls for chicken because that is was it taste like. Grub Hub did a great job with fast, hot delivery. I was disappointed in the restaurant. I have always been at to order Pad Thai with a side citrus (lemon or lime). I specifically asked that lemon be Included. I received no lemon, no ustensils, no spices or sauces. A cardboard container and..... nothing. would I get that poor service if I were being served in the restaurant? I guess so. read more

Thai Namtip is one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati, so a review is long overdue. If you're a big fan of Thai cuisine, or if you're simply in the mood for something different, I strongly encourage you to drop in. (They also have sushi, if that's your favorite thing.) My favorite dishes are the Orange Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai. However, one of these days, I'm going to break out of my routine and order the Thai Namtip Fried Rice. If you're also in the mood for a starter, try the Spring Rolls, Potstickers, or the Crab Ragoon. The potstickers are my husband's favorite. I love them all. The location is convenient, the staff is always friendly, and the service amazingly quick. (In fact, they often recognize me and even recall my "usual." I can't help it. The Pad Thai is fabulous.) This has been my favorite go-to restaurant for Thai food since I discovered it a year ago. The food is so authentic -- and by that I mean that the flavor is derived from a complex and knowledgeable combination of ingredients, rather than any shortcuts (for example the flavor of the orange chicken comes from the diced oranges marinating in the sauce). I don't have enough space here to list all my favorites, but have to mention all their curries, the Pad Hmee (angel hair rice noodles), the ginger and garlic stir-fried, the orange chicken and the beef salad. I also love that they offer brown rice as an option. I do caution people to watch the heat levels -- they won't give you less than a "3" on a scale of 10, and sometimes a "4" has been too much for me (especially on the items labeled with the hot pepper -- definitely truth in advertising). The service is excellent -- very efficient and helpful with any questions you may have. The inside is very clean and homey, with one large table for big groups. The owners seemed curt and efficient, until you become a regular, then they're relaxed, friendly and outgoing with you. Overall, a great local treasure with excellent authentic food. read more

We have frequented Thai Namtip many times since we first encountered them more than 20 years ago. Their food is good and reasonably priced. Their service is attentive. We have been there as a couple and we have been with 12-15 people. We have eaten in and had carry out. They have the best spring rolls (called Thai Namtip rolls) around. We also like their Shrimp Hot & Sour Soup (Tom Yum Goong) which is tamarind soup spiced with kaffir lime leaf, lemongrass, and lime juice. It comes with mushrooms and is topped with green onions and cilantro. They used to have a red meat Larb Gai, but that was changed to Chicken (Larb Gai) Salad a number of years back. It's still good but, in my opinion, not as good as the original. For a number of years, they have served sushi. They have lunch specials. read more

A good place for pad Thai. It's authentic tasting and is pretty affordable. The menu isn't too complicated to understand. It has all the main Thai classics. The service is very fast. I had the pad Thai and tofu. It's about $7 for the lunch portion. This is plenty enough for most people, with al the noodles filling them up. A lot of dishes ask you to choose a protein. The pad Thai comes with several choices, including beef, chicken, and tofu. It can be made vegan by not having the eggs. The service was fast, but they never refilled water. It was the only bad part of the meal. The food was spicy but not horribly so. I really enjoyed the food. It came out fast and tasted fresh. They get the food right, now they have to refill the drinks and water. read more

Our family always has a positive experience at Thai Namtip. Some of our favorite dishes, wait, what am I saying? Everything we have tried has been made well, and with tons of flavor. Vegetables are fresh never frozen. White meat chicken is used in many of the dishes chicken dishes. We love the large spears of fresh ginger in the ginger stir fry. The spears give a different dementions of spice to the dish. Sauce for the tofu ramrong is both sweet and savory. Spice level of a 5 here accentuates the sauce rather than mask it. This was a "hey lets try something new," on our last order, and will be adding it as a permanent fixture to our order. My family loves that there are actual chunks of orange in the orange chicken. Pad woon sen noodles are fun. Order them with veggies as an accompaniment to a protien dish, or with chicken as a main course. Peanuts give a bit of crunch. Personally, if ordering these as a side dish, I prefer these as a 1 on the spice meter. They nicely compliment the other dishes this way; giving a break from the spice. They really are great on their own as well. Even if you do not order the noodles with a protien, their is protien from the nuts and egg. This review would get quite lengthy if I mentioned all we have tried. As I said before, everything has been great. Spice levels we choose are usually between 5 and 10. If it's something for our youngest then we go with a 1. Ordering varied levels of heat makes me appreciate the spicy ones more. For me, a 5 is somewhat mild. They do not rely on spice alone for flavor. Excellent customer service. Even when they are busy they take a moment to make guests feel like valued customes. Exceptional service even extends to take out orders as well. In a time where to go orders have become king, (Thanks COVID,) the to go experience here has been great. Food is packed well. We have never had any problems with leaks or spills. Food is still warm even when driven across town. On our most recent visit we ordered the tofu ramrong. (Among other things.) They thoughtfully packed the sauce on the side. This was to keep the tofu firm on the outside, and creamy on the inside. Little touches such as these are much appreciated. read more

Enjoyed the food at this authentic Thai restaurant. The food came out quickly. We ordered the Pad Thai, Panang curry and Masaman curry. They ask you for the heat level from 1-10. We ordered a level 4 which was enough heat for us as we didn't want to start burning. The food is delicious. I loved the Masaman as I like the creaminesd of the coconut milk. My daughter and cousin liked the Panang more. We had to take it home as it was a good amount of food. We had the Thai tea which had too much ice. I ordered the sticky rice and mango. Presentation could've been better. I wish it had more coconut milk and the sesame on top to give it a crunch as I've had it at other restaurants. Overall good food. My chiropractor recommended this place a few months back when I mentioned my love for Pad Thai. I ordered the Vegtable Pad Thai which came with hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was some of the best I've ever tasted and the Pad Thai was perfect at a level 6 of flavor. The soup was hot and consisted of mushrooms and other warm spices. The Pad Thai consisted of rice noodles, garlic, cilantro, scallions, eggs, peanuts and bean sprouts. Yum! I went here for lunch and this place has quicker service than Jimmy Johns. Beware, this restaurant charges customers to dine in. Depending on the size of the party a charge of $5 to $20 or more per party will occur to eat in the dining room in addition to the menu prices and any gratuity. I am not aware of any restaurant in the Cincinnati area which charges extra to eat in. The portions are not very large for appetizers or menu items but the prices are not low either. The restaurant does have very good quality peanut sauce which could be used for satays or even spring rolls. I've passed this restaurant several times over the years, and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Thai Namtip roll, Wonton soup, and Pad See Ewe w/spice level 4. The soup and the roll was pretty good; the pad see ewe was a little bland. Didn't seem to have any spice, and was a little dry. I ended up pouring the remaining peanut sauce from my roll over it.
