I came the first time to Thai Noodle for a Yelp event. Awesome. You can read my review for that event if interested. This weekend, I wanted to take my kids to experience Thai food for the first time. They are 12 and 10. One has a very adventurous palate, the other is all about steak and potatoes. We live in the Tron, so it wasn't far for us to go. We got in, got a table, and squeaked in under the wire for happy hours. Started off with some salad rolls and chicken satay. Salad rolls were standard issue, in fact I've had better. But the satay? Shut the front door! The marinade on the chicken was so good! And the peanut sauce (different fro the one they brought us for the salad rolls) was so flavorful and smooth! We also ordered chicken pad thai for $5 from the HH menu since we were going to order it anyway. We ordered it mild for the kids and after the addition of some sambal (chili paste) it was perfect! The brought our food out in courses, which I appreciated. It felt like an experience that way, as opposed to a frenzy. First of course were the salad rolls, then the satay, then the mango shrimp salad (very good, lots of shrimp and mango and dressing...) Next we got some tomkha soup (my favorite and very good here with lots of big chunks of mushrooms) and pineapple fried rice. My very picky daughter loved the fried rice (minus the pineapple.. don't get me started) and had three helpings of it. It was more of a yellow curry fried rice than what I'm used to, but very flavorful and not greasy. Last was the pad thai. We also ordered thai iced tea, which was a little burnt tasting. All in all, so much food. Very reasonably priced and satisfying. There is currently a Yelp check in offer for BOGO 1/2 off entree. So with our happy hour finds and the YO we were out $34 for all of it (not including gratuity of course). We will be back, my kids are even looking forward to it now that they know they love something there! read more

I have yet to be disappointed since I started coming here. The first time was for takeout but all subsequent trips were done in. Whichever I chose it was a good experience. Thus far my favorite dish is the pineapple fried rice but the tom ka is a favorite in my household. Always happy to recommend this place. read more

One star is for the service! The food is delicious but the service today was horrible and this isn't the first time I've been here. We sat down and literally waited almost 15 minutes just to get our orders taken and it was not busy at all. I used to work as a waitress so I understand the process. The whole time we were there, the server only checked on our table once and when they brought our dessert (fried banana with coconut ice cream) it was pretty much just one scoop of ice cream and not what was advertised. Definitely the best drunken noodles (pad kee mao) I have had in a long time! I asked for a spicy 3/5 stars, likely a 4/5 at some places. I hate when the 3 is more like a 2! This one came out perfectly spicy with fresh veggies, ground chicken and Thai basil! I really prefer the tiny pieces of chicken rather than large slices. We got take out and the family said the Thai fried rice was amazing and the spring rolls were really tasty. She was not impressed with the yellow curry but I didn't try it since I was so happy with my noodles. My daughter asked if we could have it for dinner again the next day! Cute atmosphere, looks like they have a nice happy hour menu. Prices seem about average, $9.95 an item. I do think you get a little more food in the take out than eating in. Tried Thai Noodle Etc today for the first time today. Thai Noodle Etc is located on the outskirts of Cedar Hills crossing which I refer to the back. It's in the same parking lot as Century Theaters. There's plenty of compact parking spaces. Good luck those with bigger vehicles. As we walked in, the waitress greeted us and we ended up seating ourselves as our family already had a table. We ordered 3 appetizers to share: - 2 orders of the Angel Wings. There are only 5 on the plate. Angel Wings are deep fried and drizzled with sweet/sour sauce (there's also additional sauce on the plate). This dish was amazingly good. Prepare for some sticky fingers. - 1 order of the tod min fish cakes. There are only 5 on the plate. This dish appears to be served at a lot of Thai places. The fish cakes were good. For lunch, we ordered a total of 4 dishes: - Pumpkin curry w/chicken and level 3 spice (equivalent to medium). The pumpkin curry was flavorful and mighty-o delicious with a nice kick. The curry came with a bowl of rice. - Duck fried rice - I wasn't too impress of the fried rice as duck isn't my favorite type of meat. It was missing some spice too for my preference. - Thai noodle - not sure of the dish name but it's similar to Vietnamese Pho but with Thai flavored soup. The broth was rather a dark color. Level spice 4 (5 being the highest). The level 4 spice was too special for my pallet. - Pad Kee Mao aka Drunken noodles w/ground chicken and spice level of 2. This is my first time seeing ground chicken in noodles which I find odd. Other places have sliced chicken which I prefer. The noodles was a bit dryer (little more sauce would if been ideal). I would of preferred level 3 spice. The service was good but not great. The waitress was attentive in refilling our waters and checking in on us. My favorite dish was the pumpkin curry. The prices are similar with other Thai places in the area. The restaurant is clean. Decor is nothing fancy. Overall, lunch was good. Would I return? Sure at some point but not my #1 go to place for Thai. read more

So good!!! We've tried so many Thai places that ranged from OK to meh to no thank you, but this one hit the spot! We had the mussaman curry and cashew chicken, both were wonderful! My only complaint is the location, I got take out on a Sunday at 4 pm and the parking lot was PACKED with moviegoers. I ended up parking along a curb that wasn't a fire lane (rare in that parking lot). Not the fault of the restaurant by any means. It smelled great and was very busy. Went here on a weekday for dinner at 8:30PM. This place closes at 9PM and we were just 2 people. Within a minute of being seated the waiter asked if we were ready to order as the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. I understand this if I had arrived like just 5-10 minutes or so before closing time. I had arrived at 8:30 and not sure why they were in such a hurry to take our orders. Atleast, they could have indicated that the last seating will be around 8:15 or so. Allowing customers into the restaurant and hurrying them upto order in 5 minutes is not good customer service. They could have as well told us that the place is closed. Please do not advertise the closing time as 9PM if you cannot provide service until then. Coming to the food, we ordered Red curry and Pineapple Fried rice. Red curry was good,but the pineapple fried was just ok. We had Tofu in both dishes and the tofu didn't taste that great as other Thai places probably because it wasn't fried tofu. read more

Love this place. Go to Thai spot. Ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and crispy basil chicken. Did not disappoint. They have a happy hour menu that you can order pad Thai for five dollars and great drinks for about three dollars each. Waited about two minutes to be seated went at about 6 o'clock. read more

As other reviews have mentioned below, the service is pretty awful at Thai Noodle. We had a female server take our order and she was very grumpy, quiet and cold with all of us the entire time. We could hear the kitchen staff arguing in the back...! Their pad thai was one of the worst I've ever had. It was not horrible but not good. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant yet, I did not receive much attention and I had to go up to the bar to get serviced a couple times. I won't be coming back. P.S. Remember to order a drink in order to get happy hour prices on food. They don't write it on the signs but they let you know when you're about to pay for your bill. Disappointed. read more

Ordered from this place 3 times and all 3 times the food was amazing. Not overly sauced or heavy. I don't want to feel all gross and greasy after eating. The food here is fresh!!! I haven't eaten anything with meat but all the veggie and tofu dishes are awesome. Today I did pick up, and since my bf was at work I actually had to go inside and get it (spoiled gf problems) but the restaurant was really cute and both people I spoke to were really nice and very friendly. Definitely want to go back and dine in just based off my experience today. Fresh food and smiling faces. Idk what more you need. Oh!! And not high priced. One of the best happy hours in Beaverton. We come here regularly for a quick fix of pad Thai, pad se ew (not on HH), and coconut prawns. Their 'hot' truly means HOT - I love that! For dinner, I recommend any of the noodle dishes. Their curry is ok - but noodles are where they shine. They usually have Widmer on tap, and a pretty great wine list. The service is always fantastic. Very nice and accommodating. However, they are busy and usually sparse on waiters - a little extra patience goes a long way. read more

A nice Thai restaurant that keeps it pretty authentic and doesn't americanize their dishes. They call themselves Thai Noodle for a good reason because they actually have a lot of great Thai noodle dishes that are hard to find! My favorite is the boat noodle, which is considered a street food dish in Thailand. The flavor is super close to the one in Thailand :) The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. I ordered the Tom Ka (Coconut Soup) and Salad rolls. The soup had a delicate blend of delicious flavors. I adored the peanut sauce with the spring rolls. The rice wrapper was too thick for my liking. I'm not an expert at Thai food. I do know great service and fresh food. The wait staff is efficient and accurate. The noodles have that perfect "bounce" in the texture. Both the crab fried rice and duck fried rice are incredibly flavorful. The Tom Yum soup was full of flavor and vegetables. We came during happy hour, and also tasted the calamari, potstickers and salad rolls- all great! read more

Many reasons to go to Thai noodles. Best reason will be daily happy hour food and price! Cheap beer great food! Went every week and always leave feeling satisfied. Must try pad Thai, it is always so good. Like the ones I had in Thailand. most Thai restaurant in Portland uses ketchup, but authentic ones do Not use ketchup. I learnt cooking in Thailand and knows how to cook pad Thai, the ones in Thai noodles are really authentic. Their draft beers are a little flat but it's ok, cheap price and good food makes up for it. I'll get bottled beer next time then. Thai tea and Thai coffee are sweet, but it's ok too. Anyways I'm planning my next visit to Thai noodles soon! read more

The only reason why I don't give this place a five star is because we had an incident over less than a year ago and I did try to speak to management through Facebook privately but I got nothing answered. I ordered delivery from Amazon Prime Now. I had high hopes. I really did. Salad rolls are good-sized and fresh tasting if a little bland. They were supposed to come with "peanut plum" sauce but the sauce was exactly like the peanut sauce that came with the satay only it had a few chopped peanuts on top. I also got drunken noodles-mild in case their medium was too spicy. Mild must mean leave out all spices altogether here because the noodles were totally bland and colorless. Every other restaurant that I've ordered drunken noodles at, even the mildest mild always has some reddish tinge from chili paste. I really couldn't eat this dish. It just tasted blah and unfinished. Chicken satay was flavorful but I wish they would give more than a couple tablespoons of cucumber sauce. Overall, I think this place has potential but they need to tweak a few things. read more

Went here for lunch with a friend today and the waiter was super sweet. He memorized our order without even writing it down. Checked up on us to see if everything was alright every so often but not to the point where it was so bothersome. Food was delish! Price and portion wasn't so bad either. Used to work next door, you could order online/over the phone and have it ready at a specific time for pick-up. I love their pineapple fried rice with shrimp. Lunch portions are very inexpensive, about $7.95 for fried rice and $2 extra for shrimp. The pineapple fried rice has pineapple, raisins, onions, peas, carrots, egg, and cashew nuts wok-fried with jasmine rice--I normally get it without the peas/carrots. The dish has the right amount of curry flavor to compliment the sweetness of the pineapple and nuttiness of the cashew. I never go out to Beaverton very much often so I stopped by to pick up food on my way to visit some friends in Hillsboro a couple months ago. I ordered the pineapple fried rice, red curry, and Pad Kee Mao. It was Saturday afternoon, they had a lot of online/pick up orders that I had to wait about 15-20 minutes for my order. When I got to my friends' house to eat lunch, I realized that they have given me Pad See Ew instead of Pad Kee Mao. A little disappointed that they got the order wrong but we thought the food was tasty nonetheless. There used to be another location in NW Portland, that has since changed, but there are so many other options for Thai in town. If I am in the area, I would go to Thai Noodle Etc. for food, however, I would not go out of my way to dine here. read more

I always get pad Thai whenever I get Thai food and therefore I know what a good pad Thai should taste. So i am sitting in my car starving, reading reviews on Yelp on this place as I'm craving Thai. Never been here but it's closest. The reviews are pretty decent to great so I give it a shot. I ordered a tofu Pad woon sen, told them no onions. I mean, this is a very basic dish in Thai places. And I've eaten this dish so many times that I think I'm able to make it. The lady took my order was nice and friendly, it didn't take long to get my food(to take out)...only two tables of customers and this is dinner busy time! Home eating this(5 mins drive) and this is the blandest pad woon sen i've ever tasted. AND there are ton of onions. Thanks a lot. NOT. I even tipped you. It's just okay but lacking the savory/salty-sour seasoning BIG time. Won't be back, there's Thai Bloom not far and I've eaten their stuff once and it passed my test. Sorry, hate giving lower stars but the kitchen needs to know that putting out bland food without authentic flavour will not have the Thai food connoisseur's return. We've had delivery from here twice and both times were amazing. Way more than we could eat! I'm a peanut sauce person and they provided a large container on the side for my Pra ram. me and my younger sister were running errands and were looking for a thai restaurant to stop and get lunch. we found this thai noodle place and when we arrived the server we had, Yod, immediately seated us. We ordered salad rolls for an appetizer and we got them as soon as we ordered. the peanut fig sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and savory and the salad rolls were an exquisite start to our meal. we then split one order of pad thai and pad see ew. they came pretty fast and were full of flavor. we got a pretty big portion for a very affordable price. our server, Yod did an amazing job of making sure we had everything we needed and we were extremely pleased with our experience at Thai Noodle. we highly recommend this place if you enjoy thai food! read more

My friend and I walked over to Thai Noodle after the movie around 4:30 PM on Sunday. At that time the restaurant was 3/4 full. We were directed to a table and proceeded to wait for someone to take our order. There appeared to be wait staff but none approached our table. When we tried to get service, the waitress rudely told us to move to a smaller table because we were taking up a table for 4. We did not like the way she spoke to us and did not want to be moved. We were then "punished" by being ignored. No one would wait on us so we finally got up and left. We will never go back. The staff was rude and inhospitable. This was my first time trying this place and I like this way more than the other Thai places in Beaverton. The Panang Curry was very good. I had asked for it to be Spicy and they did a great job! Not many places can make "spicy" spicy, but this place nailed it. They were not skimpy on the chicken pieces and veggies. This place is pretty good for a cheap Thai restaurant, especially for lunch. For starters I got chicken satay and yellow curry, both very delicious and tasted perfectly. However, my boyfriend got the pad Thai and it was so bland and flavorless. We've eaten here twice and both times the pad Thai was terrible which is upsetting since it's a very popular Thai dish and it was totally ruined. Plus, it also had a strong fishy taste which was really odd to us, but when we asked our waiter to take it back he had an attitude and said "well what do you want me to do with it then?" 4 stars for everything overall just minus the pad Thai and bad attitude. read more
