This is my go-to Thai spot in the area! I'll order for pickup if I'm in the area, but more often we order Thai Noodle King for delivery. My husband loves the Noodle King Special -- he is a huge Thai boat fan and gets it all the Thai eateries we go to. This is his favorite one! I always have a few bites and it is super yummy, the large flat noodles are cooked to perfection and pair well with the spicy beef broth. It comes with beef, beef balls, liver, tripe, Chinese broccoli, a step up from the regular Thai Boat noodle soup. I get something different each time but my favorites include the pad thai, thai green curry, and tom kha fish noodle soup. I recently tried the tom yum and it satisfies the craving but was not my favorite tom yum. Overall very reasonable prices and decent portions, I can make two meals out of one order. I wanted to be angry at this business so bad, but when I got home and took just a couple of bites of the spicy fried rice and pad see ew, OMGosh, I'm reminded of why I go back to this establishment. You see, I went in to pick up an order on yesterday. I was greeted by one of the employees, who was sitting down at one of the tables while she was enjoying a meal. We smiled at each other and she jumped up and asked me what my name was? I told her, "it's OK, enjoy your lunch, I'll wait for one of the other employees." She stated, "there's no one else to help you." I was a bit annoyed because I wanted her to wash her hands, use hand sanitizer or at least take off the gloves she was wearing before handling my purchase. I explained that to her, but she insisted that she could help me. Once she noticed me growing a bit more annoyed, she then stated, "I'll get someone else to help you." I then calmly asked her, "so which one is it, there's no one to help me or there's someone to help me?" I didn't want to embarrass her, but I was actually embarrassed for her. I've worked in the food industry and know that you are required to to have clean hands wash while handling someone else's food. My food was already bagged, but one should at least clean their hands before handling someone else's package. As we were finishing up our transaction another employee came from the back of the business and she explained to him what had taken place. He looked at me, asked may I help you and I explained as well. I stated, "I really wanted to like this place." Took my bank card and left. Lol...I left my cellphone in the establishment with all the rush to get out of there. The kind gentleman who I just spoke to caught me as I was getting in my car, telling me I left my phone. Delivery issue: Placed the order at 6:36pm with delivery time @ 7:14pm. I received a message from the driver saying the food is not ready and delivery will take another 40 minutes. I called Grubhub twice to check the status of the order since the restaurant closes at 8pm and the time is 8:30pm. Great experience with delivery through Doordash! Our food was still very hot upon arrival and everything was packaged nicely. The pad see ew was flavored perfectly and not too oily, beef was also sliced thin and tender. The yellow curry was savory and comforting, but it was spicy even though I specifically ordered it without any spice. It was still manageable but definitely had a mild-medium kick. Thai noodle king has some of the best Thai soups in the surrounding area. I got the Tom kha fish noodle soup, the Thai boat pork soup, and the blue crab papaya salad. I always appreciate when noodles are slightly undercooked in hot soups since the noodles continue softening and then transition to the perfect texture. The soups are very flavorful with nice aromatics like fried garlic and thick slices of green onions. The blue crab salad is served with a mostly raw crab and a softened shell that you can split open with relative ease and slurp out the fresh meat. The three dishes were good value since the prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are big. The service was attentive, expedient, and polite. Thai noodle king would be very successful if they had more seating and a bathroom. Due to lack of seating I think their business relies on to go food as their main source of revenue. I was giving the owner?/server our order and a guy came in and interrupted me to pick up food, but the owner told him in a polite stern tone please wait and continued to take my order with a wide smile on his face. What a pro. There are 5 noodle options for the soups. I asked for the owners recommendation and he looked me dead in the eye and said with 100% certainty skinny rice noodles. I can tell he cares and is very opinionated on the soups, which is another marker for excellence. I have some some minor complaints like not removing the sour part of the tomatoes seeds in the fish soup and slightly over cooked pork, but for the price point I'm holding them to an unfair standard. This place is great! I found this place by chance and it does not disappoint. I usually have to drive far for Thai food but not any more. It's a small place, sort of a hole in the wall but the service is great and the people are always nice and welcoming. The food is also very good! Being half Thai I am quite picky with where I eat for specific dishes as some places specialize in curry, some places serve food from the mountains, and so on. So when I heard there was a place that was the Thai Noodle King I had to stop in. I was in a bit of a hurry so I took it to go. Let me tell you from the start that there are so many choices on the menu so I needed to ask the workers. He was cool to inform me what was popular vs what he liked. So naturally I went with the employee choice and got the noodle king special. It was like a Thai boat noodle remix. Super delicious! I would order it again for sure. I was able to try the papaya salad w/ shrimp and they actually use high quality shrimp. The panang curry was awesome but I wish they used the braised beef short rib instead of the super thin slices of beef. Anyway, I re-ordered directly through the restaurant and went to pick-up my order. Customer service was great, and the food was prepared quickly considering it was a large order. The restaurant is tiny. They have a few tables and traditional Thai décor. The food came in reusable containers, much like those black meal prep containers with the clear lid. Food was good. One of my favorites were the chicken wings. It had an almost sweet and sour flavor with minced garlic. Their curry could use some work. It was more like panang soup instead of curry. Much too watery but the flavor was on point. Gotta love those Thai spices. The Pad Thai was good. The noodles were a little different than what I'm used to having. They were the translucent kind.
