Interesting little Thai restaurant. We got pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp and Basil Tofu stir fry. The flavor was great but they were very shy on the chicken and shrimp, too much rice for the amount of protein. The basil tofu was much better portions The edamame was very good. Not too salty The wait staff was pleasant. The restroom wasn't dirty but the floor was in need of a good scrubbing. After reading all the great reviews, I was very disappointed in my lunch today. The seafood was very Hoham even though they serve served New Zealand green lip muscles. They were frozen and fairly tasteless and overcooked. The dish came with scallops and I got exactly one and a half scallops. The other seafood was shrimp and they were so so. The steamed Goyza it was pretty bland also. The sauce or some kind of soy sauce mixture that didn't blow my skirt up and it will seem like the same thing they used in my rice dish to stirfry the seafood. The race was undercooked slightly. They did not offer chopsticks. Definitely not very good Thai in my opinion. read more

Great little Thai restaurant here in Louisville KY! The former manager would cook up specially for my wife that couldn't handle the spice but she had to return to Thailand. Thai Noodles was a staple for our family when the pandemic was in full-swing. They had a drive-thru back then, but I don't think it's open anymore. Fortunately, the restaurant is still open. They have some of the best Thai food in Louisville. It's not a fancy spot. It's likely out of your way, but definitely worth the drive to Preston. It's one of those places that's good on a cold day, when you need sinus relief, it will pull you through a bout of COVID, it's perfect for anytime you need to eat your feelings. Tonight's order- Thai Red Curry Red curry paste, coconut milk, bamboo shoot, carrot, basil leaves, bell pepper and green bean. Pad Thai Stir-fried rice noodle with egg, bean sprout, scallion, your choice of meat and ground peanut. The portions are huge, but more than one dish feels necessary for achieving the right flavor combinations. The red curry is spicy, the pad Thai is nutty and sweet. Alternating bites is perfect, like dipping a French fry in your milkshake, or adding sea salt to your dark chocolate. I have other favorites depending on my needs. Chicken Ginger Rice Soup-Clear chicken broth with ground chicken, fresh ginger, rice and scallion. This is my favorite if my stomach is off or to grab for my toddlers. It's the only soup that's not spicy, but the broth is so flavorful. It's a win for everyone in our household. Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) Stir-fried flat rice noodle with egg, basil leaves, broccoli, carrot, tomato, onion, bamboo shoot, your choice of meat in a basil sauce. This one is solid. If you aren't in the mood for peanut flavor, this would be my next noodle choice. Mild will still have a bit of kick, but you can get it as spicy as you dare. Pineapple Fried Rice Stir-fried rice with chicken and shrimp, egg, cashew nut, onion, raisin and turmeric powder. This one should be at the top of your list. Pick your spice level. This one is a winner. If I hadn't been in the mood for curry, this would've been my next choice. The question isn't should you try Thai Noodles. You should. It's authentic. It's affordable. The service is friendly. This business is definitely worth patronizing. Maybe the question is, how many tries will it take you to find the salt to your chocolate? The shake to your fry? If you end up with leftovers, there are worse things. But, I bet you don't. read more

Had a craving for Thai food tonight and hearing about a hole in the wall place on Preston Hwy, I thought I venture out for some Pad Thai. That's usually my gage for a truly good Thai restaurant :-) And boy did they not disappoint. I have tried many pad Thais in louisville and I would say this is the best I have had in a long time. Nice loosely hanging rice noodles that are not clumped together or broken in bits and pieces. The eggs was done amazingly mixed in the noodle. I had a Level3 spice , could probably have gone up to 4-5 considering the sweetness I tasted in the noodle. Also got their red curry with chicken and a fried tofu appetizer. What happened!?!? It pains me to write this, but something awful has happened to this once great cuisine. This was an absolute favorite for me and a friend. A tad pricey, but sooo good. We didn't order from here for a few months, but did again last night. What a huge disappointment. We were so looking forward to our favorite Thai dishes. As I'm taking the first bite of mine, I look at my friend (who got a completely different dish) and she says "what?" My first reaction was "This has literally zero flavor. The noodles taste like hot water." She looked at me and said "I agree completely." Our only choice was to add a ton of soy sauce, but at over $15 per dish we expected a lot more. We expected the same great food we'd been getting for years, but something has gone off the rails entirely. New owners? New management? Horrible, a year ago I posted how there food shrunk and prices increased. I haven't been back since. Today I gave them another chance and it has deterated even further. The quantity is half what it used to be the prices are higher and the quality is horrible as much as I like Thai food I will never go back to this wannabe Thai restaurant. Then they charged me another 4% for using a debit card total being $32 for 2 half full plastic containers. It is very sad they stooped this low and should close there doors. The Sampler consisted of Spring roll, Satay chicken, Steam dumpling and Gyoza - a great way to see which apps are the best, I personally was a big fan of the spring rolls Pineapple Curry red curry paste, coconut milk, tomato, basil leaves, bell pepper, chicken and pineapple - actually made spicy! I was so happy. Ingredients were fresh and plentiful as well Sukiyaki Stir fried Egg noodle with Shrimp and Chicken, napa cabbage, carrot, mushroom, onion, scallion, celery in house special sauce - this dish was OK, I'm glad I tried it but it wasnt a favorite. I guess after 8 years and a name and ownership change it's pst time for an update to my review! The service is still great despite the changes in ownership and I'm sure staff over the years and the food is also still delicious even though the menu has had some changes. We usually get our food to go so I can't speak to the dine in experience as much but for carry out every thing is always ready quickly and is always correct. The Pad See Ew is one of my favorites and my kids like the Pad Ba Mee. You can also never go wrong with the Pad Thai. I love the peach sauce that comes with their Crab Rangoon also. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. I have no complaints at all. read more

While there really isn't much glitz and glam when it comes to the atmosphere of this restaurant, it's not needed. When it comes to good, wholesome, delicious food, Thai Noodle is unmatched. I always make sure to have Chicken Pad Thai as well as the crab Rangoon with the peach sauce. It's so good. If you've been scouring Louisville for that authentic Thai flavor like I have been, I can tell you I might have just found it at Thai Noodles!!! Not even after more than 15 years of watching my Thai friend and attempting it time and again. So if you are like her and need some real burn, be sure to ask for Thai Hot. I got the "hot" level for both my Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and Pad Kee Mao. The beef noodle soup was so perfect for this subzero, blustery day. The lunch portion was a very nice size: just big enough to fill me up, but not so big it cools down before I can finish it. The soup was hot, spicy and steamy. It has the perfect balance of sweet, spicy and salty. The soup did burn me a bit but just enough so that I kept eating. I have only tasted something this yummy in Bangkok in Columbus, OH. I got the Pad Kee Mao as a carryout for enjoyment at home later. It has all of the right components (except Chinese broccoli, but I wont fault them on that): sweet, spicy, fish sauce, tomato, egg, bamboo and pork. All of it combined to a perfect late afternoon snack for me. The "Hot" spice level was a bit less so in this dish. I finished the whole thing in one setting. That lunch portion is really big! I wonder what the dinner size will be like? I cannot wait to go back for more noodles: Pad Woon Sen, Pad Si Eew, Kao Soi, Wonton Noodle Soup...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Perfect for when I'm craving Pad Thai!! I get the tofu Pad Thai at a spiciness level of 3. The portion is HUGE. I can get 2 to 3 meals out of one order which is great for lunch at work. The tofu is perfectly marinated and they come in large cubes which I really enjoy. The crab rangoon was a perfect appetizer too! It comes with a peach sauce that is sweet and a great addition to the wontons. Right now the restaurant is closed on the inside, BUT they have a drive thru window that is perfect for this situation. MMM MMM MMM. I've had their take out for lunch twice now. The first time I got the pad thai with shrimp and the second time I got the spicy beef noodle soup. When you order their lunch, you can get an appetizer for $1.50. I get the steamed dumplings and it comes with two. They are hot and tasty and come with a side of what tastes like a homemade soy sauce as it has a hint of sweetness. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of my first lunch there, but I remember it was so good. Obviously, because I went back a second time. The soup is very aromatic as I'm eating it. It's not spicy to me although it's called spicy soup, but I do love the taste. The noodles and sprouts come separate so you can put them in after you get to your destination. We came here on a Saturday. This is the only day of the week they are open all day. It's a small restaurant located off of Preston highway in an old fast food restaurant location. There was only two other groups there when we visited. There may be 10 tables total. We were immediately seated and asked for our drink orders. My mom opted for gold ole sweet tea and I wanted to try the Thai iced tea. This was a nice sweet treat! It's tea with sweetened condensed and evaporated milk. Nice and creamy taste! We started with crab Rangoon, and my mom said it was the best she's ever had. Glad we tried, I would have ordered spring rolls if she weren't with me. They were light and delicious! They serve with a peach sauce that was perfect! My mom ordered the fried chicken and rice and I ordered the veggie pad Thai spice level 3. That's always my norm at Thai restaurants. They wet both very good. I ordered the special dessert too, the golden banana. It was just ok, fried banana in a wonton with chocolate drizzle and honey. Service was very good too! We will return. I actually ordered Thai Noodles online on accident, mistaking it for another thai noodle place in the city. I honestly was not let down. It's really hard to mess up Pad Thai, unless the noodles are chewy and gross, which they were a bit chewy here. I was a fan, for sure, but will be back to try some other dishes. read more
