What can I say the vibe is dope. Diverse group of people come in here. All different ages and walks of life. The bartenders are personable, and great at making any drink. The food from the restaurant has GREATLY improved in the last year. I love their theme nights and the fact that weekends has security . Gotta love this place and I recommend it to anyone stopping through for a good time.

My go-to place when I crave Thai food. Their pad thai is really good. Service is always good.

Pick a different place to order from in all honesty. This place is super bland and disappointing. this is sad . Pad Thai - taste nothing like it's supposed to (no sweet/salty at all ) had a Smokey (? )Taste to it. Tom Kha gai /coconut chicken soup. - literally tasted like someone emptied a bow of lemon grass in the soup and let it steep over night. Thai tea - heavily watered/"milked" down Chicken satay.: just came as a hot mess -full chicken tenders on a stick (normally you get thinner/pounded out chicken with satay. (Taste wasnt even horrible like a 4/10 ) Shrimp dumplings (steamed) - we received fried dumplings and the unfortunate part is they were half way decent in comparison to everything else. First and last time eating here. Good luck ‍ ( I literally copied and pasted my review from door dash since that's where I ordered it from - the review was necessary and there was no point in taking a picture of the pad thai or soup since It was based on flavor smh)

Poor attempt at "Chicken pad thai".minimal chicken and not much else beside noodles.

Food is going downhill. We ordered a couple of Chicken pad thai. We basically got noodle dishes with the tiniest (and I mean tiniest bit) of chicken. One container had 1 sliver of chicken. Pad thai is supposed to have more ingredients than we received. Cook needs to look up recipe as a refresher, as years ago their pad thai was good.

    26. Thai Style Fried Rice

I decided to grab some takeout this weekend from Thai O'Brien's and my god this was the most disgusting Thai fried rice I've ever had!! I tried to make things better with some sweet chill sauce and it was still awful. the picture is the amount I threw in the garbage after trying my best to eat some. Definitely wouldn't recommend

Zombie at Thai O'Brien's. A little sweet, but a boozy delight.

OK, I'm no Thai expert. But today I channeled my inner Jew and since we celebrated Xmas last night we decided to go Asian today. I'd seen this place in my travels, and decided to give it a shot. First, we had Zombie's. A little sweet for me, but a nice boozy cocktail served in a killer Tiki ceramic mug. We shared their fried dumplings and spicy boiled wontons. Both were waaaay above average, obviously hand crafted in house. Delicious. We then had a chicken dish, a shrimp special (a bit pricey at $16) and the most freaking incredible chicken fried rice I've ever had. The fried rice was worth a detour, if it turns out this good every time. Moist, large strips of chicken, Thai basil, and not the usual soy bomb/orange colored rice at all. Tender, moist, and terrific, with that nice 'taste of the wok' smoky flavor. I'll go back and revisit, but this place was terrific. I did take a walk back to the attached bar, O'Brien's. Looks like a nice neighborhood dive bar, the bartender was very personable.

Just picked up a "$7.95" lunch special here. Only to find out at the cashier the total is actually $10.65... well that was far ways from $7.95 don't you think? Gets even better. Apparently Pad-see-uu is not part of lunch special but hey let the customer figure that out when they see the check than telling them on the phone it's not included. Not to mention did not include the wonton soup (see the picture, it clearly includes Wonton soup) that was supposed to be part of the lunch special. Guys, plan and simple - I don't care if I have to pay 15$ for lunch but don't do shady business. Let the customer know what they are getting and what they are paying for. Restaurants that does shady things like this are rare and needs to be pointed out. I don't plan on going back here. Thought I'd share. (Also, if you do plan on getting red curry - don't it's more like Red curry with no actual curry it's dry - already had this experience last time so this is it for me)

Let me tell you what we have here... a unicorn. That's right I said it. This mythical creature that is both an amazing Thai Food restaurant AND an Irish pub is aptly named Thai O'briens. Planets have aligned to present this gem in midtown Bayonne in an unassuming venue that precariously is situated almost under a bridge. Do not let the locale fool you. The best Thai Food in Bayonne lies within. The front is intimate; great for a business lunch or date night. Bomb appetizers include all of the dumpling options, the chicken wrap as well as the satay. The BBQ pork Chops entrée is a staple almost every time I step into this place...and don't sleep on the mango chicken or the beef with green beans either. Order the Pineapple fried rice as a side to share and you have executed yourself a winning combination. The back bar is friendly as well...if you would rather a low key bar environment than a restaurant...they will bring your food directly to the bar. Highlights are the cheap PBR pints,($2 all day) Skittle Vodka shots and Dave being awesome. Delivery isn't the fastest I have ever seen...but if you are ordering it is worth the wait!

Shrimp Pad Thai.. I have had better from a box

What can I say about a place that I had to ask for utensils and a napkin. Roti Canai was pretty good but the Pad Thai was wet and had no taste. At least they said thank you when I left.

Since we were big fans of those alcohols, we decided to check it out. The walls of the space were covered in colorful murals with Latin American imagery. There were banquettes along either wall with small tables and ottomans scattered in front of them, providing separate, little areas for each group. Large playing cards were fanned across each table with Jack, Queen, King, and Ace cards each having a menu on its backside. There were bar bites, a spirits list, classic cocktails that could be reimaged with your agave spirit of choice (picture a tequila mojito), and even a custom beverages. The creative drinks were not cheap, coming in at around $20 on average, but they certainly were complex! My La Balacara featured Casamigos Mezcal, spiced pear, Luxardo, orange, ginger, chestnut honey, and a chili tincture. I thought the drink sounded outrageous, but, sadly, all I tasted was that honey, the ingredient of which I was least interested. In fact, the smokiness of the mezcal really did not play well with the chestnut honey, leaving it to taste sort of like licorice. I was not a fan. My companion's El Encanto included Casamigos Cristalino, Lillet Blanc, strawberry-lemongrass cordial, guava, and basil, which sounded herbaceous, but really just tasted like a fancy daiquiri. He enjoyed it, but I found it unimpressive. Our drinks were accompanied by a complementary bowl of spiced popcorn, which was delicious. We had come from an earlier dinner, so the snack was as much as I needed. However, the few larger food items that I saw others order all looked great. While I would go back to Perico to try some other items, I felt like I had had better, more affordable cocktails upstairs at Panela.

Entering the establishment it was a standard bar with a back party room that is pretty spacious and nicely decorated. The young lady at the bar was very nice and went to get the waitstaff so we could order breakfast. Since they were having a comedy show they had to move around some tables so we sat at the bar to eat which was no problem. The menu has al the standard breakfast and lunch items and soul breakfast which I was excited about which is considered items like fish and grits. I ordered just that!! Fried whiting, grits, eggs and toast. Everything was sooooo good and the food came out hot which I love!!! The young lady at the bar offered us mimosas but I didn't feel like drinking that morning but it's great to have that option!! After eating we chatted with the waitress and staff and found out the most surprising news, the gentleman who gave us the flier is the owner and use to be the chef at a very popular restaurant in Jersey City that closed a few years ago. The restaurant is called Crazy Greeks and if u are an OG JC resident then u def know of this iconic establishment!!! The best breakfast food so it alllll made sense why the breakfast at Mr Cee's was so good!!! Very happy to know they are back in the food and lounge business and I will def be back to support. The bar and lounge does comedy nights weekly and plenty of other functions. Check them out of their IG for more info. Wish the team at Mr Cee's much success!!!!

The weather was absolutely ideal -- warm enough to enjoy being outside but still crisp, with very little humidity. Basically, rooftop weather perfection. The biggest draw here is, without question, the view. The space itself is beautiful, with a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, but seeing the Manhattan skyline illuminated at night is what makes this place special. It's one of those views that reminds you why people romanticize New York and the surrounding area so much. They offer a full food menu, although it appeared to be available primarily for guests seated indoors. The outdoor area seemed to focus more on drinks and lighter bites. Just know before you go: this is definitely a splurge spot. Everything is priced at a premium, so prepare yourself accordingly. Unfortunately, the service experience got off to a rough start. Both the security staff and hostess came across as unwelcoming and not particularly friendly. Whether they were overwhelmed or simply having an off night, it didn't create the best first impression. My biggest disappointment, however, was the restroom situation. By around 9:30 p.m., the bathroom was already in pretty terrible condition. Honestly, it was hard to believe it had deteriorated that much in just a few hours, and it gave the impression that it may not have been properly cleaned earlier in the day. Overall, Rooftop at Exchange Place delivers exactly what most people come for: spectacular views, a beautiful atmosphere, and an unforgettable skyline backdrop. Just be prepared for premium prices, a potentially lukewarm welcome, and hope that someone has checked on the bathrooms before you arrive.

A mixture of either old, sketchy, no sex appeal and rough around the edges. The dance floor was packed and the music was on point. There was some people that set up food in the back but it left a trail of an odor that was not appetizing. Drinks were ok at best but when I asked for a cup with ice it seemed to be an issue. Very off putting. Not quite sure what the issue was.... The bartender brought the manager over and I had to specify I wanted it for my beer. Yes, I'm a weirdo if I don't get a frosted glass, I'll take a cup with ice. The manager proceeds to ask me ; "So you want me to pour the beer into the cup with ice?" UMMM yes I don't mind pouring it my damn self but if it makes you more comfortable, knock yourself out. It truly didn't make a difference to me who poured it, I just wanted some damn ice to cool myself off! I'm not sure what type of sketchy and shady people they deal with but I am not the one. My boyfriend and I run a good tab on drinks, give me what I'm asking for and paying for! Meanwhile, I did not see just about any of the 30-40 people on the dance floor buy a drink. I then saw hookah's on a table and the price list. Unfortunately, they were not providing hookah service that night. So why have them out? Whewwww I love my house music community and love the Lincoln Park festival that is close to the bar but this past Sunday this bar and crowd missed the mark. The only redeeming factor was the DJ. I highly doubt I'd return unless it were to vibe out and dance to a DJ I reaaaaallly love.
