I've been to Bangkok, and I can honestly say the food at this restaurant is even better. We tried the yellow and green curries, and both were incredibly delicious and packed with authentic flavor. The standout, however, was the trout; it was prepared perfectly and paired beautifully with the apple cashew salad, which offered a masterful blend of sweet and tangy notes. The menu is also very family-friendly, as the kids absolutely loved the roti with curry dip and the chicken wings. We also tried the tom yum soup, which was excellent and hit that precise balance of spicy and sour. To finish the meal, the mango sticky rice was a highlight especially when paired with the Thai coconut ice cream for a refreshing, sweet end to the night. Beyond the food, the service was truly excellent. Even though it was getting close to closing time, the staff was welcoming and we never felt rushed at all. Oh how I missed sushi on fire on Main Street! Had to try Thai on fire! They had the same green sauce!! Sooo yummy!! We couldn't decide what we wanted and this was close by. Make sure to call ahead and order though. It took a while for it to come out but that's also a good thing since you know it's fresh. Whenever I see a Thai place that has Khao soi I must get it and boyyyy I wasn't disappointed!! Sooo good and I saved the left over broth to eat with rice the next day. Crying tiger- pretty good meat portion and that classic crying tiger sauce and their famous green sauce! YUM. Ate this plain and with rice. Both good! Padseew- pretty good also! Husband ate this dish up! They did mess up on our order for garlic wings and gave us chicken garlic.. pretty sad about it but nonetheless it was still good. The crying tiger beef was tender and flavorful, and the pad see ew blew my mind with how good it was. The crab cheese wontons were tasty but had a little too little filling for $11. Total was about $60 with tip for those 3 dishes, definitely on the pricey side but worth it. Next time I'd probably skip the wontons. It seems they are limited on spice / condiment trays, but we were lucky enough to get one as soon as we got our table. Whenever I'm in FV, I usually opt for Vietnamese food but this place has caught my eye multiple times while on the road. Located in an unsuspecting strip mall, this place is such a hidden gem that I've been thinking about for days after I've had it! First off, the service is amazing. The owner, Niki is extremely kind and welcoming. She stopped by our table many times to check if we needed anything (more water, extra sauce, dessert, etc.). She made great recommendations too. The food here is sooo good. Portions are very generous and everything is very fresh and flavorful. I also loved that the homemade sauces/condiments were conveniently at the table instead of having to ask for them. We had the crab cheese wontons, crying tiger, pad thai, tom kha, and chili garlic fish - everything was so tasty! I especially loved the pad thai and crying tiger. The pad thai was sweet and tangy, and the crying tiger came with a unique dipping sauce that was a bit different than the typical nam jim jaew. After the meal, we tried the coconut ice cream (which our server told us was from Thailand!), which came topped with roasted peanuts. The texture was halfway between a sorbet and an ice cream which I thought was very interesting. The flavor was very good too - fresh and not overpoweringly sweet. I have passed by this restaurant so many times and never tried it. I'm glad I finally did. It is not the most authentic place, but flavors are good. I had the pad see ew, which was seasoned well. Tom yum soup was sour, sweet, salty, all the right flavors you'd expect! The Laos sausage was okay though. I've had better at other places. Here, medium level of spice is more like mild. So Thai Food is kind of our thing. We've been to at least 8 different Thai spots in the last year and this was by far the worst. These are dishes we've had many times in the past, we kept in our wheelhouse to compare. Prik King with pork was bland and the meat was crazy dry. I've never had prik king so flavorless. Pad See Ew with beef was the same, no flavor and dry meat. Now the crab rangoons were the outlier. They were a little smaller than most, but that's cool because you can pop the whole thing in your mouth, they dough was thin and super crispy and not oily. Some of the best I've had. Ordered over 300 dollars worth of mouth watering food for a party of 6 adults and 5 children under 10. Yes, we had leftovers but we ate more than 75% at the restaurant. The flavors were on point! Spice level as ordered, plates weren't overly spicy or lacking. Food was fresh, portions were family style, and adjustments to plates for the kids were not an issue. Service was top notch, waters refilled, empty plates taken away without delay, request for napkins and other utensils were provided almost immediately upon request. Duck Noodle: Noodles with roasted duck (Skin on), bean sprouts, green onion, cilantro, and garlic sauce. My favorite, very nice soy sauce based broth, overall noodle soup tasted clean and not heavy. Potak: (Hot & sour seafood soup) Thai spicy soup with seafood in a spicy broth of lemongrass (Shrimp, fish, calamari, and mussel). Delicious and a good option for seafood lovers, my wife uses their version as the bar for tiwhr places. Pad Thai: pan-fried noodles with egg, bean sprouts, cooked in sweet and tangy sauce garnished with crushed peanuts. Noodle were perfectly cooked and not falling apart, consistent for takeout or in-person dining. Shrimp Blanket: Marinated shrimp rolls with wonton skin served with sweet and sour sauce. I was able to get 2 boxes of food I think we ordered pad thai for really cheap and including delivery it was only $10. Their food is super affordable and super delicious. When I was eating the first takeout box of food I started feeling full so its def super filling and genuinely so yummy. I've driven by several times but never stopped in. However, after a surgery, a friend of mine ordered me the Chicken Satay- O M G !!!! Peanut sauce was creamy, the salad was refreshing, and for only $1 more, they added a veggie egg roll and rice! This is just what the doctor ordered!! Recently tried Thai on Fire for the first time and it was a major letdown. We ordered: crab rangoons, pad see ew with chicken + extra black soy sauce, spicy thai basil with ground chicken extra hot, side of peanut sauce The peanut sauce felt like a rip-off at $4.50. It was a small portion, overly sweet and lacked flavor. Ordered the spicy thai basil, extra hot, and it arrived with relatively no spice at all. They did accommodate my request for ground chicken, but it didn't help the lack of flavor. It's also a bit smaller than the other entree dish we got. I had high hopes - this dish is supposed to be spicy and delicious! The pad see ew was equally disappointing. They did give a good portion of chicken, but the right flavors weren't there. Overall, underwhelming, not worth the price and will be sticking to Hungry Boy Thai down the street. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday evening and were seated almost immediately. We ordered the rotee for our appetizer and got the pad Thai level spicy and drunken noodles medium spicy as our entrees. Both dishes were super flavorful and delicious. I was surprised how yummy the drunken noodles were considering how I've been to other Thai restaurants and felt it was bland more often than not. Definitely didn't happen here. My boyfriend's pad Thai was phenomenal, it's tied for our favorite spot in LA. The food came out in 10-15 min. The servers were great and kept refilling our waters without asking. Came here on the recommendation of a family friend who is Thai, a trained chef, and has owned/currently owns several restaurants. I say this to preface the fact that my expectations were ridiculously high. I am easily bored by hyperbolic praise so this will be brief. We were served by (we later learned) the owner (family owned), who was very personable and very open about the different spice level options, as well as protein recommendations with various dishes (... a closed mouth does not get fed, so ask). Fresh food, fast friendly service, great ambiance, ample parking, etc., etc. Funniest thing - we saw 'our' waitress/server from another well known Thai restaurant in HB (that we love) eating here with her family. We laughed and asked her why she is eating here vs. there (at a discount no less) and she replied,"the food is more traditionally authentic." Oh, and the next day leftovers are amazing. Work trip and visiting family and for dinner my family brought me to Thai on Fire! I loved their food. The roast portal with Chinese Broccoli was so good. The veggies were cooked and cut perfectly. The sauce was amazing, light and flavorful. The whole fish, which really was a full filleted fish. I prefer a whole fish with the head and tail. Anyway the fried whole fish with apple salad!!
