I was meeting some family for lunch and we settled on this place. The server was so nice and accommodating for my large family and we had a great time interacting with him. It's pretty bright inside during the day because of the large windows which was nice and a perfect lunch spot! For food, I got the banh mi chao. I really liked the banh mi, which was crispy and not stale at all! The beef was tender, and the seasoning was perfectly savory with a hint of sweetness from the grilled onions. I liked everything it came with, including the egg and pate. The only slight complaint I had was that I wish they used Vietnamese butter like a usual banh mi chao, but they just used laughing cow cheese which I thought was... interesting. Overall the dining experience was great! We even got free thai tea for their anniversary and complimentary che at the end!

I think when you come here, you have to realize that they don't put msg in the food. The flavors will be different, not so in your face. The broth of the pho is made with hundreds of bones. It's so clean. If you are Vietnamese and crave the fat of the broth, you can ask for it on the side. The grilled meat is so on point, not the red dye that is usually used in other restaurants to make it look as though it has the authentic flavor of caramelized sugar to give it the beautiful color. My favorite is the oxtail pho. So rich and beefy... . Must tries: Banh mi chao filet ... tender beef perfectly seasoned and all the accoutrement that shares this sizzling plate... I had this 3 times Nem nuong cuon .. Just one of the best way to start your meal House special chicken wings ... you want to lick your fingers just to get all the sauce Pho oxtail ... recommended by James and he was right Grilled pork, egg roll, and shrimp vermicelli ... on hot summer days this is the meal I turn to. So refreshing with cold veg and grilled meats. Great food, warms smiles will be what you'll receive here. Thank you James for the hospitality.

My cuz got me take out from SP in FV. Overall, the food was okay. The portions were not that large for the price, and the flavor seemed watered down. Viet food in Little Saigon or GG is cheaper and tastes better. My cuz said the service was friendly. It seems to me SP is similar to another place in the neighborhood that has decent Viet food. In addition, there is the convenience factor of not having to drive to Little Saigon or GG.

Love that

This is our first time here, my son & I. I got pho tai, my son got pho đặc biệt, lots of meat, broth is good, free refill on drinks. Top it off with free little dessert (Che). Love it! Service was great!

My mother in law felt like Vietnamese food so we looked on yelp for somewhere near her house with high reviews and we haven't been before. The location is on the south part of Brookhurst away from Mile Square Park and the mega packed Kei Restaurant group plazas so it feels more chill and easy to part at. Thai Tea and Milk Tea: When we went they had some kind of anniversary promotion so these were free. Tasted OK, nothing especially good or bad about it but definitely a bit tastier because it was free. "Simply" Chicken Bites: Popcorn fried chicken but with their unique spice blend. I just wanted a couple piece but it was so good our table ate the entire thing. Grilled Pork and Shrimp Rice Combo: The shrimp and pork were so well cooked! For this area with so much competition they defintiely stood out for their protein quality. Delicious and would repeat. Bun Thit Nuong: Grilled meat, peanuts, shrimp, eggrolls, veggies over vermicilli noodles. I had a bite and it tasted great, my wife and mother in law totally cleared the entire bowl and it was big!

Simply Pho Noodle House is known for flavorful pho broth, fresh ingredients, and excellent service. The restaurant is clean and modern. Popular menu items include the pho, spring rolls, egg rolls, grilled pork rolls and grilled salmon. The restaurant is noted for good portion sizes and complimentary tapioca dessert and thai tea.  What I got: House spring rolls Grilled pork spring rolls Egg rolls Pho ga Rice with salmon

Amazing food and great service! The pho is delicious and the staff is super friendly here.

Shaking beef with fries

The grilled pork doesn't taste as good as I had at other Vietnamese places. Too salty for my taste. My kids' pho was also too salty. Sorry Simply pho, not coming back. Restaurant though is clean and nice, but too quiet for a lunchtime. Staff is friendly.

The food is ok, i forgot to take a picture of the pork springroll, that was good! Thai tea tasted a bit diluted. I dont think i would be back, maybe just for the pork springroll.

Great service, polite and prompt. Food was awesome!! Comfortable, clean, and simple. Reasonably priced.

My family loves Simply Pho! Not only is the food delicious but the staff always has been so kind to us, we love getting to talk to them. They are so sweet and we are so glad we found this restaurant. And so glad we don't have to drive all the way over to Garden Grove to have delicious pho and egg rolls! It's always pretty quiet in there when we go which is a shame they totally deserve more guests with how wonderful they are! My husband is Vietnamese and he loves the quality of the food here and it also gets our kids approval too (even our picky eater!), they always are ready to eat a big bowl and finish every bite!

This is located in the same plaza as the shabu place & Ralph's. Parking is decent and restaurant is nice & clean when you enter. Decor was decent too. The service is like any other pho restaurant, straight to the point to take your order so they can bring out your food. We ordered the pho dac biet with meatballs, pho ga & plain pho (noodles & broth only for the kids) along with sides of their crispy chicken & tofu. All were good and tasty. We all enjoyed our meal and first time experience was good. We do have other restaurant we love going to but this is a good backup restaurant as well.

The noodles were cooked perfectly with a great chewy texture. They leaned a little on the sweeter side, but they were still really tasty. The sủi cảo were THICCCCCK in the best way possible! The wrappers had a nice bite, and the filling was juicy with that signature bouncy texture. We ended up ordering three bowls of Mì Sủi Cảo Khô, and everyone cleaned their bowls. The food was solid, but the service was pretty much nonexistent. The staff wasn't very friendly or attentive, although that's honestly something I've come to expect at a lot of places in Westminster. One thing that really stood out, though, was the condiment station. The chili oil, fresh chilies, and sauces looked dirty, and after tables were cleaned, the serving spoons and sauce dishes weren't replaced. I actually had to grab them from another table myself. Overall, I'd come back for the food because it was genuinely good, but the service and overall atmosphere could definitely use some improvement.

Long time diner, first time reviewer…read more I've always loved Grandpa's Kitchen, maybe because of the sweet name that makes me think of my own grandpa. They have one of the best egg noodle soups around. The broth is perfectly balanced and well seasoned, the egg noodle is well made, with generous toppings. The dry version of the egg noodle is equally delicious. You can't go wrong with either selection. I'm always surprised at their affordable prices. These days you can't really get a good bowl of noodle soup for under $18-$20. Here you can get a solid bowl for just $8 during happy hour! Whaaat?! Crazy! That is such a great price that I almost feel like I'm robbing them. LOL. During this recent visit, I wasn't too hungry so I just got a small bowl of wonton soup for just $7. It comes with 5 pieces of wontons. The only disappointing thing was that it doesn't come with one of my favorite toppings - tóc mỡ. It would've cost $2 to add it. I really wish they did include it. I also got some grilled pork skewers. Though a little soft, they were pretty delicious - nicely seasoned, flavorful, and make a great appetizer. I also love that they're open late - till 11PM!

Service chill, can pay at register in the front, like typical viet restaraunt where they kinda leave you to it. The Grandpa's noodles was good (a dryer noodle), great portion, meat was tender, the radish cube looking things was crispy bits of pork skin. The menu is unique here and mostly in vietnamese. I think I had wished for some sauce to go with the noodles (but I understand its mostly with the soup on the side), good tightness of the meatballs :D... They have the classic condiments on the side, the pickled garlic isn't very crunchy and kind of on the sweet side, the pickled chili does have that slight acidic kick that works well. I modified my noodle to egg for a dollar. The soup was good, on the more umami soy/beef side than clear. The wontons were abundant too, instead of a chili oil the sauce is more like a tangy sweet chili vinegrette thing. My accompaniment got a garlic noodle soup (fried garlic oil) that was rich and also in a huge bowl. For the price and portion its a hidden gem for someone who needs to feed a family. Not like gourmet, but good enough! Omg, also I missed the corn milk :((

Massive parking lot so that was easy, one friend went ahead and let them know we had 10 incoming. They made room and we sat immediately. One of the spots that you scan a menu at the table and you review, order and pay all in the app. I was really not familiar with the line up and went with the "House Special Beef Pot Roodle" (Roodles are their rice noodles). It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry. Because my buddy and I sat at the same table we scanned the same menu, he ordered a bunch of stuff and also House Special Beef Pot Roodle. That confused the kitchen and they asked me if I meant to order 2, I said no and didn't realize I cancelled my buddy's order. Part of the confusion of a large party and many scanned menu orders. My buddy was struggling to order and our initial waiter seemed to not understand my friend and that took a little bit to work out, young lady came from the back and was able to quickly resolve some of the confusion and get questions answered as needed. In the end he had lot of food to explore. One thing that caught my eye was several couples there and sharing a large soup item served with a tray of various food items for the soup. Kind of a date night visual and something that looked very interesting. Several couples around us had that same dish and its got me more curious. Might have to come back with my wife and try this one.

I ordered their most popular dish, the A1 set, but honestly, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. The broth tasted pretty underseasoned overall. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really stood out to me enough to return, and it felt more like a one-time experience. Overall, everything was just okay.
