The service has always been friendly and nice! They great you right away and get your drink order. They will also make sure your drink is full so once get low they will refill your cup! I got the chicken fried rice with a 6 for hot and it was pretty hot!! The fried rice was pretty tasty and the chicken was cooked really well! The odd part was how big the carrots were but that was completely ok! Also got the drunken noodles with chicken with a 4 for not. They gave us a completely WRONG ORDER. We kindly called them and told them it was the wrong order and they said OK fine and that they would accept a photo of the food and that we didn't need to bring it back. My husband drives back to the restaurant to pick up our order and then gets told that he needs to go back home and bring the food back. This is after they told us they would except a picture of the wrong order. They were RUDE AND NOT APOLOGETIC, treating us as though it was our fault that they gave us the wrong food. After my husband goes back for the second time, actually the third if you count when he first picked up the food, our food was not even ready. They didn't want to start making it until we brought back the other food. Their TRUST ISSUES gets in the way of basic customer service. I understand that mistakes happens, but it's the way they handled the situation that this bad review is deserving. Customer service is very LACKING when mistakes are made. My bf and I checked this place out for the first time recently and now I'm thinking we should've tried it sooner. I moved down to Vista about 6 months ago from OC...where we had some really awesome Thai places. The first place we had tried in north county was mediocre at best, so I was hesitant to try too many others...assuming that the quality of Thai food was similar in the area. However, I was pleasantly surprised with Thai One on...pretty good especially for north county! The Tom Yum soup was good. I had the spicy eggplant with chicken...it was very tasty though I could've handled a little more spice (I asked for a 6, next time I'll ask for a 7 perhaps). My bf had the mussaman curry with chicken and said it was pretty good. He ordered a spice level of 5 but said he'd get a 7 or so next time. Service was great - they kept the water glasses and rice bowl. Very unique decor inside. The lunch portion is perfect for me I can finish the whole thing. For people who can eat more, order two. I just wish the pad see ew wasn't so oily. I usually leave the last few noodles because they're super greasy. The pad Thai is a less greasy alternative. I would recommend that. A 2-3 spicy is already spicy for me here but I cannot handle that much spicy. Most of my friends got 5, one got a 10 and I think he enjoyed it. We went to Thai One On because the Thai place we normally went to had closed down. After a quick check on yelp, we decided to hit this spot. It turns out, it's some of the best Thai food I've eaten. You choose your dish, then the kind of protein you want in it. This can be anything from tofu to salmon. The price is then calculated based on what you choose. The atmosphere is very nice. The restaurant is decorated in a very jungly-beachy environment. If that is what Thailand is like I can't wait to go! The service is good here, they are very attentive and polite. I recently came in for a large to go order and they brought out the thai tea bobas I ordered while we were waiting for the food to finish. I felt that the boba was too hard and asked them to remake them without the boba, which is something I never do because I hate to piss off the people who are cooking my food. I've been coming here for years, and ever since the Thai Pasta in Oceanside closed, this had become my go-to for Thai food. I loved it! But something has changed. They must have replaced the cook, would be my guess. At any rate, the food just doesn't taste the same anymore. I got all our usual favorites the other day, and NONE of the dishes tasted as good as they previously did (same dishes eaten here over the course of many years.) In fact, this was the first time ever that I ended up throwing away Thai leftovers, after nobody in my family felt eager to eat them over the course of a week of them sitting in the fridge. So that tells you something. And on top of it all, prices have increased quite a bit recently. So I was already shocked about that, but in combination with the so-so food, that makes one less customer for them, sorry to say. I am by the way not the only one who has noticed - my friend who was equally addicted and always got the same dishes for her family, told me the same thing the other day. First time here after many referrals. We ordered the pad Thai with chicken, the appetizer sampler plate and the pineapple curry. The noodles were pretty good and the appetizer dish had lots of variety but my fav item of the order was the pineapple curry. It tasted so fresh and summery! Had to fulfill my Thai food cravings again! Walked in and placed my order to go at the register. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. I stopped in about lunch time. I've tried Pad Thai from so many different places. I have to say this one was not my all time favorite but it was still pretty good. I ordered a spice level of 3, which wasn't spicy at all. They ask if you want eggs in your noodles which is nice for vegans. I ordered it with tofu. It was very flavorful and it wasn't dried out. I wanted the spice level to be higher but every place does it differently. I enjoyed the egg roll it was filled with vegetables no meat. It also came with a little container of sweet and sour dipping sauce. The salad was lightly dressed with a coconut milk dressing. The salad was a fresh spring mix not iceberg lettuce which I appreciated. Overall it was good and it is conveniently located. I'll be back to try more dishes. read more

Great name. Pretty good food. I just had lunch here with my girl. They have about 21 lunch specials at $6.95-$7.95 a piece. After taxes, tip, and a glass of tea, we got out for $21.00. Lunch specials include a small salad, soup, and a crispy roll. The little soup was excellent and tasted a kind of like Tom Kha without the coconut milk, galangal, and lime leaves. A little spicy and sour. Yum. I opted for Pad Thai with chicken, which I usually don't order at Thai places, but was in the mood for noodles. I ordered it with an 8 heat rating. It came to me cooked as a 1 heat rating, which initially was bothersome that they could have been so far off base from what I requested. However, I asked for some Thai chilies in fish sauce on the side (even though I had to ask twice) and once I added those to the dish and got the heat level to about a 9, the Pad Thai sang sweet music to me. Otherwise it would have been way to sweet and unbalanced. My girlfriend ordered the Yellow Curry with Tofu at a heat level 3 and it was just wonderful. Well balanced, with potatoes, carrots, and onions in the mix and the right amount of heat for her. She mentioned she liked the dressing on the salad. We will definitely have to go back and try the Larb and the Roast Duck or Sole Fish Dishes, which sounded good from some other reviews. The atmosphere is nicely decorated and very colorful. My girlfriend thought it would have a romantic atmosphere at night with the lighting. The service was quick and polite, but a little abrupt, even though they were not very busy at all. First visit here and we were very impressed. It's a bit more of a Thai restaurant with an American influence, but super yummy. The hot ginger tea was fabulous. It seems like they brew that in-house with honey. The tom kha gai soup had a beautiful sweet base to it. And my pad thai was delicious and a very large portion. You won't leave hungry.
