I've been wanting to come here since I first heard about it last year. Well, I'm happy to say, it did not disappoint! My husband and I came on Monday night to enjoy a couple of drinks at sunset, and lemme tell you, it was the perfect spot. It's a few blocks from the beach, but you can see the ocean. And watching the gorgeous sunset with a well-made cocktail in hand was the perfect end to our day. We ordered at the bar and had the Mango Guava Spritz and the Miami Pound Machine. They both came in large glasses and were well worth the price. Nice presentation and both were delicious and not too sweet. Just the right amount of alcohol, too, in my opinion. I loved the vibe up there. They had heaters on and cute umbrellas and lighting. It's just a fabulous spot on top of the Brick Hotel. I will definitely be back when I'm in Oceanside again. read more

I have been to Cococabana a few times but usually for drinks with a group of friends. It is a trendy and young rooftop bar in the heart of downtown Oceanside, so it is the perfect stop for a night out with friends. The decor is cute and very Instagramable, plus you get some peek-a-boo views of ocean which is nice at sunset. They often have a DJ which ads to the vibe. We decided to eat here the other night because we are on a mission to rate all the tacos in Oceanside. The food was fine, but these tacos won't be making our top 5 list. They were also pretty expensive for what we got. My recommendation would be to keep this place for drinking and fun hangs instead of dining. Hot tip - I watched multiple people practically kill themselves taking the stairs up but there is an elevator if you go back in the tiki bar. Save yourself!! read more

Vibrant rooftop restaurant and bar serving tropical drinks and their version of Carribean/Hawaaiian food. We had a group of 10 people reservation for our friend's birthday. Although the restaurant confirmed they can seat 10 people they had to find extra seats for all of us while 7 people crowded into a booth that probably only seats 6 people comfortably. Our waitress was very nice, always checked on us and made sure our experience was great. I ordered the Carribe Welcome cocktail which came in a real coconut. For food I ordered the Hulu Hulu half chicken bc with coconut rice and veggies. All of my food tasted great. Some other people did not feel this way about their food. Some though their chicken sandwich was very dry and needed a lot of sauce to make it taste good. Surf and turf tacos for $18 for 2 small tacos that did not fill them and pork nachos that were very salty. I'd probably come mostly for drinks than the food. read more

The restaurant is in a building mixed with other restaurants of the floor so that was pretty cool too. We were luckily able to squeeze in without reservation but sounds having a reservation is a good idea. The menu we got was for breakfast and we were super excited. It was more Hawaiian than Caribbean. I don't think there was any Caribbean dishes on the menu we got. But we got loco moco which tasted more like Indian curry to us but still good. The chicken and waffles were amazing !! Crispy skin! Potatoes were soft and flavorful. Waffles soft, it had some flavor spices to it but I couldn't pin point the flavor but it was so so good. I don't know what I was tasting but pretty great. We were just expecting more Caribbean food so we were a bit surprised seeing the menu. But overall super great love it! read more

Really aesthetic rooftop spot in the downtown area. They really lean into the disco and Hawaiian themes. Service was friendly but unfortunately they made the chilaquiles incorrectly twice for my friend- seems that there is not pineapple salsa and just pico and a standard verde (might be to be in line with the theme). I had gone to Stone brewery first. I was told to take the elevator and go to the very top floor. Upon asking somebody where the elevator was. She directed it to me and then stated that's OK. I don't take the stairs either. I informed her that I am currently healing from a broken leg so stairs are not good for me right now. That comment still has not sit well with me. Besides, I wasn't even told that there were stairs available all I was told by a stone brewery employee was to take the elevator. Went up the elevator, was greeted by the bartender who was very sweet. Sat down at a booth. I ordered the espresso martini. It did take a while to get. Well, I ordered a breakfast burrito. I got the breakfast burrito before I got the espresso martini. As I am relaxing, enjoying my first rooftop experience. I asked for a box to go. As I start boxing up my food I pick up with my fork, a piece of egg and a hair popped out of it. I told the server I hate to be that type of person, but I believe there's a hair in my food. Thankfully, she said, the manager said that they can remake it. But I was told that things happen that the wind blows things into items. I didn't have the courage to tell her that the hair was mixed in the egg. I ordered a food item to go. Waited for both the food item to go in my new burrito so I could just leave. I use the inKind web base pay system. As first time rooftop bar experience goes this was not great. I came here for birthday celebration. The hostesses were very rude. There were many open tables, but we were not able to be seated quickly due to a lack of servers. Now you'll have to go through the restaurant on the first floor and take the elevator up. So why the 3 stars? Security was a rude jerk at the door to let us get to the elevator. Our server, Ashley, was great. My girl friends all ordered the tri tip breakfast burrito and they had their own special requests. They got it right! They also have a homemade hot sauce similar to Tabasco (vinegar based), but was good. I ordered the avocado toast and I'd order it again. The romaine lettuce was nicely dressed with the perfect yolky over easy egg on top. Loved coming here for brunch, especially on the rooftop! I made reservations ahead of time as I knew it gets quite busy. Glad I did because we were seated right away on a very busy rooftop. The view was pretty cool from the rooftop (would be better without the other towers blocking the beach but that is neither here nor there). Our waitress and her service were both fantastic! We were able to order quickly and our espresso martinis never emptied. Our mimosas were great too. My personal favorite was the guava mimosa. My husband had the tri tip egg burrito and he absolutely loved it! It honestly was really good and the green house salsa on the side was a great touch of spice. I had the Kalua scramble and it was perfection. The Kalua pork was delicious and the pineapple poco de gallo was the cherry on top. We also ordered the Hawaiian donuts and they were perfectly sugary and fluffy as expected. The miso butterscotch wasn't noticeable but the donut was still delicious. My party and I were looking for a fun brunch spot heading home from our bachelorette trip, and this was the PERFECT spot! Everyone enjoyed their food (especially the french toast!) and even the food was incredibly aesthetic, perfect for those instagram shots. My experience was very underwhelming. Me and a couple girl friends walked in on a Sunday to the rooftop bar, the bar area was fairly empty which I was excited about. I've tried going to this place before but it's always so packed. We get to the bar where there were two girls working, no one greeted us. For at least 5 minutes we stood there while the bartenders made drinks. It wasn't until my friend asked her how the day was going that the bartender spoke to us. We tried ordering a drink which they couldn't make because they were out of an ingredient. So we ordered the disco ball that is meant for two or more people. absolutely love this place! instagram worthy for sure. the decor is stunning and truly takes inspiration from the tropical getaway destinations making you feel truly transported out of oceanside. the view is amazing and you can see downtown and the beach. the staff was SO great. we got there right when they opened on a saturday and were the first people there. the waitress was so sweet, and very attentive to anything we needed. we did the bottomlesss mimosas, which truly are fantastic and they kept topping off anytime we were half empty. the chilaqueles were great, but i wish the salsa was a bit spicier. still would order again and again. overall such a cute brunch vibe for you and your friends! im sure it would be a fun happy hour spot too read more

The his place is so cute. I was there on a Friday night and the dj played good music and the drink menu was fun. It was as easy to grab a booth. I love a good rooftop bar. The only downfall is that this place closes at midnight but open to hotel guests until 1 am. I'll have to stay at the hotel next time. read more
