Not impressed that the menus were dirty and sticking together. The gentleman greeting us and taking our order was very nice but not a lot of chatting with him. So we ordered spring rolls to start and really liked them. Very hot coming out and tasted great. I had the orange chicken with which was really crispy but I didn't like how small the pieces were and didn't taste a lot of chicken due to the breading. The rice was good. OK. So Called for takeout. Easy to order and quickly prepared. I'd say the orange chicken was the easy winner here. You can 1 - 5 the spicy level...the portion size was generous. 1 order could have easily fed my wife and I. Good with the white rice. The Hot Pepper chicken was good. But if I order from here again. We love this restaurant and the family who owns it. A group of us meet there once a month to fellowship and hang out. The food and service are amazing. I have yet to try anything I haven't liked. This is a somewhat decent Thai place in White Settlement, a couple of miles off the main roads. A good amount of parking available, too. There are a lot of 4 and 5 star ratings for this place so I finally got around to visiting there, and was a little disappointed. Ehhh, it is OK. Not great, but OK. We arrived at about 6 o'clock on a Monday afternoon. There was only one other set of customers in the restaurant and of course we were seated immediately, and our drink orders were taken also. I ordered steamed dumplings as an appetizer. I think it came with 5 dumplings. They were OK but nothing to write home about. I ordered a cucumber salad we planned to share, but they didn't bring it out until my meal had arrived. My wife ordered the orange chicken, and it looked and tasted wonderful, but it was overcooked to the point where some of it was crispy all the way through. I ordered the Pad Phrik Khing. I thought all the entrees would come with rice since that was what the menu said.. This one came with noodles, which was fine, but it would have been nice to know. Fast and friendly service. The food is AMAZING. Lunch comes with a salad and egg roll. The ambiance is plain with two televisions, yet it is clean. The lunch portions are larger when you dine in than when you get a to go order from my experience. Nonetheless, the food is ALWAYS cook to order. Bangkok House is great. If you are a fan of orange chicken, you must give theirs a try. It is the best I've had locally. I also got the Tom Kha soup, which was zesty and zippy and perfect. My wife got the shrimp Massaman curry and it was also delicious with a complex layering of flavors. My son got the Siracha fried rice with chicken and enjoyed his. It had the heat he was looking for, although he also spent part of the meal staring at my orange chicken once he tasted it. The kiddo had a rough day so I offered to take him out to dinner since we hadn't been in a while. He decided he wanted to try the different type of orange chicken this establishment is known for. I love Thai food, so I was down! IT was a Monday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. I think there were maybe 2 other tables, so we were seated right away. I ordered a water and he ordered a sprite. The sprite came in a can with a glass of ice. He ordered the orange chicken which came with white rice and I ordered the cashew nut chicken which also came with white rice. Our food came out relatively quickly. The orange chicken was indeed very crispy but also flavorful. The kid, who looooooves the orange chicken from Panda, loved it! He's actually requested it twice more this week. I was afraid he wouldn't like it since it wasn't like Panda. My dish however, didn't have much flavor at all. I've had cashew nut chicken from other Thai places which has lots of flavor. I actually had to put some salt on the dish. Maybe if I would have ordered a higher spice level? I ordered a 2, but don't feel like that should affect the actual flavor. All in all, we were satisfied with our meals and had enough to take home for another meal. I would like to try some different dishes and I love Thai food and this place is close by me. read more

It's...ok. It is *not* a 4.4, as its current Yelp rating suggests. It's a 2 that I'm rating a 3 because the young man at the counter was nice and said bye to us as we headed out. Normally I don't post unless I either love or hate a place, and I certainly didn't hate this place, but I literally drove out of my way to try it *because* of all the positive reviews on Yelp, and then I was just really disappointed. So this review is intended to spare anyone else a drive and say probably don't come here unless you literally live next door and you just really don't feel like driving 15 minutes further to one of the restaurants on Hulen, like Thai Select. Again, it was ok. Nothing was absolutely awful. Nothing was particularly good either--it all landed pretty squarely in the "acceptable/technically edible" category. We got rangoons (overly fried), spring rolls (also fried, not bad, think more like little egg rolls), orange chicken (fried to within an inch of its life and coated in a sticky sweet sauce), and massaman curry (again just ok, but definitely the best thing we ordered). I also got a Thai iced tea, and it was fine too. Nothing was terrible. Nothing was good either. Everything was...ok. I am so happy for all the people who had really positive experiences here, and I hope they continue to have many happy meals here in the future. For my group, we had to drive out of our way to go there, and it was quite the letdown, so I don't anticipate that we'll be coming back. read more

OHMYGAHHHH hands down the BEST orange chicken I've ever had in my life. Go medium spicy. It's thin and crunchy, and that sweet heat is to die for! I would eat this everyday happily. Forever. Also I'm not even a huge curry fan but the green curry is to die for here. I legit ate it for every meal until it was gone. Please understand that medium spicy here burned me up. This place was just ok! I love Thai food and have some authentic spots in LA back home. Unfortunately this place isnt 4.5 star worthy. I ordered the chicken satay, yellow chicken curry and crab fried rice (which are staples in my book). The chicken satay while good was overpriced for the slender portion they give. The chicken curry was really thin but flavor was good. The crab fried rice, which is my favorite to order, was missing by a mile. The rice was undercooked and flavor was not there. Would i come back? Me and my husband enjoyed eating here, the food was sooo delicious. Best Thai food we have had in a long time! My husband had the orange chicken and i had the moo yung somtom. Food was good. Don't get the fresh rolls shrimp. They are about the size of a silver dollar and about 3 inches long. Nothing but one slice! Of shrimp not even the whole thing. It's Nothing but that one sliver of shrimp and iceberg lettuce a few carrot strips. It taste like a lettuce wrap with rice paper. Terrible. read more
