I decided to try the Massaman curry tonight - it's definitely the best one I've had in years - not too sweet, just the right amount of spice, and a very healthy portion of (my protein of choice for this dish tonight) and vegetable vegetables. I also ordered the crispy pork belly appetizer, which is so tasty and one of my go to's. The combination of kimchi with pork belly is just delicious! I also ordered the fried tofu which I'll probably have with my lunch tomorrow - I think I've ordered this every time. It's always cooked perfectly ( never undercooked or overcooked), and the chili dipping sauce is perfect! I decided to treat myself to the mango sticky rice dessert for later - depending on how full I am from the curry and the pork valley that may also have to wait until tomorrow. I love that they use a combination of both the sticky white rice and the purple rice, which gives it a bit of a nuttier flavor and balances the sweet a bit more. I usually place my orders to go, but every time I've been in the restaurant it's very clean, the team that works there are always extremely friendly and give the best recommendations, and it's always filled with their regulars. If you haven't tried Buon Bistro, I strongly encourage you to do so. Whether you dine in or do it to order (I placed my order via Instacart tonight), you'll get nothing but the best tasting food, amazing quality of ingredients, and incredible Customer Service.

The broth for the Kow Piak Pork Belly was so flavorful on its own with having to add anything to it. Same goes for the Lao Sukiyaki dish that was order as well. Everything was great from the main dishes we ordered to the shrimp spring roll appetizers.

Solid place for authentic Laos food. Highly recommend if you're missing the taste of Laos food…read more It's not your normal restaurant. They don't ask you about a drink. You just get it from their fridge. I liked their beef larb. Level 4 was pretty spicy. We got it cooked. The Laos sausage was good but tasted like the ones you can buy yourself and cook. Their nam Khao had very good flavor. My only critique is that it could be even crispier and it would be perfect. Their Khao poon is okay not bad. I like my mother in laws better. Khao piek had good hearty broth flavor. Overall would come back if in the area! Their ambiance is a restaurant combined with a market you can get some pantry or frozen foods.

It's tucked away and attached to a small Lao grocery store, which honestly made it feel even more authentic. The moment we walked in, it felt like we were about to get a home-cooked meal. We ordered the organ soup with sticky rice, beef lahp, and nam khao, and everything was absolutely delicious. The broth in the organ soup was rich, clean, and deeply flavorful, exactly how it's supposed to taste. The sticky rice came out warm and perfectly chewy. The beef lahp was bright and herbaceous with the right amount of spice and lime, super fresh, and tasted just like what we've had in Laos/at family gatherings. And the nam khao was crispy, tangy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they don't cut corners on ingredients here. What I appreciated most is the authenticity. A lot of other reviewers mentioned that this is one of the few places in Texas where the food tastes "just like home," and I completely agree. Multiple people also mentioned the friendly staff and how the market side carries essentials and hard-to-find Lao/Thai items. We felt the same way, everyone was kind, and the grocery section is a nice bonus for anyone looking for snacks or specialty ingredients. Portions were solid, prices were fair, and the quality was amazing. This is exactly the kind of spot you hope to find when traveling. If you want real Lao food, skip the trendy places and come here instead. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Texas. Highly, highly recommend.

I was still craving it when I got home, so I told my boyfriend I would like to have lunch here another day.  We came here to eat on July 4th around 3:45, not realizing they close early at 4:00. I believe our server is the owner there. She was still willing to take our order and did not make us feel rushed at all. Such a sweet lady! Superb service.  The food was exceptionally good, but the papaya salad did not hit like last time. Bummers. Maybe because the cooks were trying to hurry to close up. Whatever it is, I'll be coming back to try it once again. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5

I have this coconut smoothie, I order it at least once a week they put fresh coconut at the bottom and let me say this one is my guilty pleasure. The staff is always nice and they explain the items I just love how welcome I feel here. Make this your final stop after picking up the famous eggrolls at the other end of the strip and then your bahn mi a few doors down and complete with a cold smoothie the coconut one will not let you down I promise. Youll forget where you are while you're drinking it and long for more after it's all gone.
