Been here several times and each time gets better than the last. This time I got Spicy and it was perfect. Just enough spice to legally call it "spicy" but not too spicy. Eggplant cooked perfectly. My friend got the Cashew Chicken and liked it so much, she had about 2 bites left and asked to take it home. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. I've tried many of the other Thai restaurants in the area and I can safely say that Thai Orchids is the best of the bunch. I'm a bit of a green curry snob, and that dish usually ends up being my go to when sussing out if a Thai place is up to snuff. Their green curry is one of the best I've had and is my favorite when I'm looking for something creamy and coconutty. We've been here for a few times and so far we like it. Their foods are pretty good, good service and prices are reasonable. So we went again tonight, ordered a tom yum koong soup for the first time there... probably the last time... why??? Cuz it was the saddest tom yum soup I've ever had!!! Haha... half a pot of soup with a few shrimps and a few canned mushroom slices... I was so shock when the lady brought the soup... seriously... Went on a busy Monday night, the owner was the only server with 7 tables! I don't know how she did it, but she was a pro, gotta give her props for that. We ordered chicken satay, beef panang & pad thai w/shrimp, all of it very good, the beef panang was a little runny, used to it being more thick, but the flavor was on point. I can't believe I have lived here so long and haven't tried Thai Orchid. It was so fresh and tasty. We had spicy vegetable noodles chicken pad se ew broccoli and tofu and glass noodle salad appetizers were chicken dumplings and egg rolls. My friend from Long Beach who is rarely pleased with a restaurant like this place very much and wants to go again when he's in town. He's vegetarian and happy with so many choices. Finally Tammy are waitress was both helpful in our selections and charming and made our experience fun. Prices are reasonable too. I will be back! read more

I love this place and I'll tell you why. I've been coming to the restaurant for several years, but had been working out of town so much, I hadn't been in in over a year. I called in an order today and when I went to pick it up? The wonderful woman at the front desk remembered me and I even have completely different hair color and I'm 40 pounds lighter! So awesome when someone genuinely remembers you and pays attention to detail. This kind of observation plays right into performance when running a restaurant...Now to the customer service. Food prep is always fast and thorough when picking up take out, they never forget any of my items and always give the condiments and utensils. When dining in, the service is fast and efficient, and if you go there regularly enough they remember you order and right after seating you, will remember to bring you your favorite drink right after you are seated. Food tastes fresh and well seasoned. My favorites are the satay, any one of the boba drinks, the orange chicken, and my all time fave, Thai Beef Boat Noodle Soup. I really enjoy this place. Definitely some great curry here. I got the Green Curry w/Shrimp and I was full before I even finished all of it. (that's rare for me) I'm from San Francisco, where there's a lot of Thai food, and I gotta say this place can compete! The food was well-seasoned, well-cooked, and prepared nicely. The staff is amazing too, she gave me tips on where to go vacation in Thailand (I'm going soon), so that was greatly appreciated! My only complaint is that there aren't any special vegan options using imitation meats. These are all over SF, but that's because people are more environmentally-conscious and healthy out there. I don't blame the owners because I'm sure the demographic around here doesn't demand it, but as Bob Dylan said "Times, they are a-changin'" Hopefully they pivot soon haha. read more

I love Thai food with the good reviews on here I was excited to try. I ordered Thai ice tea, veggie tempura, and Spicy noodles with tofu. The Thai ice tea and water came first. Good flavor. Very small though comes in old fashion Sundae glass. Tempura came next. Huge problem it's not tempura technically it Panko style. Sparsely coated veggies tasted old underneath especially the broccoli. The dipping not was nice but just not a fan. I have never not finished a tempura appetizer. I did not finish. I ordered the spicy noodle entree with tofu. I was hoping it would redeem meal. I just dropped the review I was writing from a 3 to 2 after taking a bite. Spice is good. It is soooo greasy tasting. It taste like grease should be dripping off buts it not actually they are quite dry. Never have I been so sad eating Thai food. Other Thai place in area is closed tonight or I would leave. Pros. Literally got my order like 30mins ago and ate the shit out of it. I don't know, I couldn't help it, my pregnancy craving were taking over big time. And although I have been really good with my intake and not gaining a whole lot I couldn't help myself when I dug into my beef pad Thai. I think it's been a year or two since I last tried this place out and since I was dying for some Thai food I decided to give this place another shot. And my belly and baby are happy that I did! Normally, I go to Redlands' Thai House for my pad Thai but I wasn't about to drive my uncomfortable butt over there so I called in an order here. My food was hot and fresh and tasted better than my normal place. The egg rolls were really good too, not overly greasy. The only thing I have a problem with is there tiny containers of chili and plum sauce. Like, seriously if I was worried about getting heart burn then I would have asked for like two handfuls. And one plum sauce container barely covered one egg roll. You'll need like 4 because those containers are teeny tiny. Other than that this place gets a million stars from me. read more

This place is the best Thai I have ever had! I've been coming here for years and have yet to find another thai restaurant even close to this one. Their orange chicken is one of my favorite dishes. It's so sweet, tangy, and is very fresh. Their chicken steamed dumplings are another of my favorite. The sauce that comes with them to dip the dumplings in is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! you wouldnt expect to find a good thai place in banning, but its true. the quality of food and ingredients used are always consistent, the atmosphere is very clean and nice, and the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Also the prices are great. I personally am a HUGE fan of their garlic tofu. Its SOOO good i order it everytime. There is alot of variety on the menu so it suits pretty much everyones palette. I know for people who live in palm springs all they have pretty much is thai smile. But i say with complete confidence that Thai Orchid is WAAAAYYY better then thai smile. WAAAYY more friendly too. First time at Thai Orchids a small and intimate restaurant in Banning. I tried the "go to" Yellow Curry which turned out to be excellent. Thai Orchids is a good go-to Thai place in Beaumont, especially for take-out since there are so few of those in the area anyway. Got there before 9pm (they said they closed at 9:15pm on a Saturday) and picked up our take out order. 4 things - yellow curry with chicken. (smelled amazing though since I don't eat chicken, that was for my husband). Pad See Ew with chicken (again for the husband), Spicy noodles with Tofu (drunken noodles) and spicy eggplant with tofu. Tofu was done to perfection. Eggplant dish was a little more bland than I've had at other Thai places, though not bad overall. Spicy Noodles were tasty though pretty greasy. I prefer their competitor down the street (http://bit.ly/flUgAY), though since they close at 8pm every day, Thai Orchids will see me sometimes if I don't make the deadline. read more

This place is great!! We had gone out to the outlets and were starving after our shop-a-thon. My son can't stand Thai or Chinese food but for some reason let me drag him to a Thai restaurant anyway. I don't ever order Pad Thai for myself because I haven't been able to find a decent Pad Thai that doesn't taste like ketchup. No matter how good the reviews for a Thai restaurant are they always seem to ruin their Pad Thai by adding ketchup (or something that tastes like ketchup). So needless to say, I did not order Pad Thai - I wasn't willing to try it at this restaurant - no matter how good the reviews. My daughters on the other hand ALWAYS order Pad Thai (which I always taste to see if it -in my opinion - is good). Well, I must say... the Pad Thai here is very good, it passed my test. Did not taste like ketchup. My son ordered the orange chicken and actually enjoyed it. He is often a very picky eater when it comes to foreign food but had to admit he loved the dish. He actually said he was glad I brought him there. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. The food was served hot and was served shortly after we had ordered. First time at this restaurant with my Girlfriend tonight and definitely not our last! Very clean restaurant and friendly people work here. We decided on three vegetarian dishes and they were served quickly and each dish was presented well. We had Vegetarian Rice, Garlic Vegetables and the Vegetable Pad Thai. We were very pleased with the rice and the Pad Thai. They really know how to prepare these dishes! We both thought the interior of the restaurant was above average and not what you might expect from a location in a strip mall. My wife and I have a 4 month old and Thai Orchid is a great place to get our meals to go. We'll place an order and within 20 minutes it's ready. The portions are pretty good. The Pad See Eew with beef is my favorite along with their Panang Beef. Their Orange Chicken is also excellent because it's super sweet and savory with a crispy texture. There's a minimum of $7 if you want to use a credit card or they charge .50 cents which is fair. Their dishes are between $7-$11 which are pretty affordable. My wife actually prefers Thai Air on Beaumont st. (which I also like) but I think the portions are larger here and it's closer to our house. I can go either way. read more
