Some of the best Thai food I've have in a very long time!!! Popped in after a full day of driving in stormy weather and was looking forward to a nice hot meal. My server Patty was so kind and welcoming, that I got more than just a hot meal! Exactly the friendly face you need to see after a long day. She was spot on with recommendations and service :) The manager added a nice touch by stoping by each table to ensure everything was great. The Food: I always get Tom Kah Soup when getting Thai and this was the best I've ever had! The serving is massive (patty for-warned me) and presented piping hot with a flame to keep it nice and warm. The flavors and ingredients were super fresh and plentiful! I also tried the Massaman Curry for the first time and it was amazing! It had a little of everything....a full delight for the tastebuds. We did carry out. My husband got their summer rolls with shrimp. It was iceberg lettuce and carrots with one shrimp in each roll. The spring rolls were okay, the crab Rangoon was okayish. We also ordered fried rice at a 1 and it so so spicy o had trouble eating it. Usually do a 2 other places but this was my first time eating there. The beef in it was like shoe leather. I also ordered the Massaman curry with beef. More shoe leather. There is no flavor to the sauce, the vegetables have some strange perfumey taste to them. I've sat on posting this review for awhile, months and months. The more times I've considered to order again, has been deterred time after time because of my last experience there. The food is GREAT, honestly some of the best Thai food I've had in Oklahoma. However, I placed an order and it wasn't ready just yet. So I sat inside and waited on an ottoman, and saw a little boy running in and out of the kitchen and had a concerned look on his face that I had sat on the ottoman. Shortly after sitting there I realized it was kind of wet so I moved. After getting back home I noticed a rancid smell. I took off my pants and smelled where I had sat on the ottoman.... It was the smell of Vomit. Undoubtedly. I called the restaurant to let the owner know. He said thanks for letting him know. He ended up calling me back about 15 mins later to say the waitress knew and had cleaned it up a bit-- clearly not well enough that someone else's kids vomit was on my clothes. My biggest concern is that this little kid was running in and out the back in the kitchen (Noting there were two little kids there that day). And if they knew he was sick throwing up, why was he still there?That's was a big red flag for me and unfortunately we will never return because of this incident. I'm all for supporting a small business that has kids running around, but when they are sick you compromise the well-being of everyone else. read more

My boyfriends parents introduced us to here for the cooking classes on Saturday's We did a double date where all 4 of us went to the cooking class. That was the first experience we had, we made fried rice and had some amazing papaya salad. We went back and I ordered the pad Thai & my partner ordered the catfish curry, and again some papaya salad. Chef Gan and her husband are super friendly, offer an array of items, offer free cooking classes every Saturday. The environment is nice. Thai Tea was sweet and perfect. Want a date idea? We were in the area for work looking for a place to have lunch, we accidentally found this Thai restaurant, I'm so glad I did the best Pad Thai I've had in years. I will be coming back food is so good. Warning though they have a spicy heat scale from 1-5 I went with 3, and it wasn't lacking in the Scoville heat scale, I'd say maybe as hot as a habanero pepper. I'll go with 1 next time, but I still couldn't stop eating, the portions are ridiculous, you could feed a family of 4, with 1 plate, but who wants to share when it's that good! I really don't recommend this place to anyone after the first 2 visits. We avoid this place altogether. (We had only order to-go) No customer service issues it's just the food is that bad. For some reason the Fried Rice smells like the Edmond DOG FOOD factories. I repeat, it smells like straight up Purina Dog Food. The chicken and beef weren't great either, we quickly became sick after our second visit. And I wonder if it's because I can totally tell most of everything came out of something deep frozen. I am on a roll this week -finding five (5) star places. I'm absolutely so stoked. I called to see if this restaurant has wi-fi and they do. They are also the friendliest and nicest people around. Two of my friends and I came here and we loved all of our food. I ordered the tofu Pad Kee Mao and I asked them not to make it spicy. Next time I'll have it with a little spice. But the flavor was excellent, it's a good brown sauce and I loved, loved, loved the way they did the tofu. And they had a good amount of veggies in the dish. Oh and it was huge. On top of that, my friends chicken fried rice was also huge and she loved the flavor. In fact, she and her sister shared It and she took some home. I had an idea of what food I wanted, but was unsure with the many curry options. I described what I wanted and the waiter gave the perfect suggestion to meet my craving. He was kind and helpful. I had the red curry at a a level 2 heat. Delicious!!! It was EXACTLY what I was after. The manager walked around checking on tables, as well. I enjoyed the Thai music in the restaurant. This place has changed my mind about how I feel about it's food. When I tried it the first time I was not impressed. In fact I told myself I wouldn't come back. It was a shame because I love Thai food so much and this place was close to my house. I finally thought I would give it another chance years later. Boy, was I glad I did. We had pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, coconuts seafood curry, red curry, devil curry, egg rolls and other things. They were all good. Pro: The people were nice that worked there. Food was delicious. The silverware was beautiful with symbolism's of Thailand on it and around the restaurant. I liked how they had a large amount of choices and the food tasted fresh. ThE portion sizes were huge. I felt the owner Mark went above and beyond to help our table. He even brought out coloring pages and crayons for the children. He was very attentive and kind. I was grateful for that unusual level of attentiveness. Con: My server barely spoke English and I had to mime my conversation most of the time. Our order actually was a little messed up cause she didn't understand. Also, bathrooms were dirty and out of toilet paper. I tried to tell the server. She was pointing to the sky and saying "up, up" and I had no clue what she was saying. No one could use the bathroom because of it. Very inconvenient when you have children with you. We have been eating Thai Orchid since it opened and before everyone else found it. Easily 3-4 times a month for either lunch or dinner, sometimes more. Over the years there has always been occasional issues with how spicy it is, usually spicier than what you ordered but the flavors were always consistent. The last few months we have noticed that our usuals do not taste the same, but we have always treated it as a one off. After our food (takeout) tonight I'm not sure if we will ever go back. The food was horrible, the flavor was just not there. We always order with the spice level 2, this time we had zero spice, the crab rangoons were two toned, bottom half burnt, top half undercooked. We had been hearing about this place for a very long time and decided to come check it out. First of all, it's nice that a thai restaurant is open till 10pm on the weekend. Major plus. We got here about 45 mins before close. We were the only customers but that didn't deter us. Mentioned to the staff that I'm vegan and they said no worries and that they have vegan that eat there regularly. Ordered a Papaya Salad for appetizer and it was divine. Just be careful of the star level. We can usually handle spice and ordered a 3*. Talk about spicy...wow! It was a really good spice though, lingering but not overpowering! For dinner my wife ordered Lemongrass Chicken, I ordered spicy eggplant dish and added veggies and cashews. We decided to share a vegetarian pineapple fried rice. Wife loved her food and so did I. The star of the show was the pineapple fried rice. It's been a very long time I've seen one served in an actual pineapple. What a surprise. This is a must order dish. The chef came out of the kitchen and we had a very nice conversation about her love for cooking. Her husband was also extremely accommodating and made us a Thai Iced tea on the house.
