We have been eating Thai Orchid since it opened and before everyone else found it. Easily 3-4 times a month for either lunch or dinner, sometimes more. Over the years there has always been occasional issues with how spicy it is, usually spicier than what you ordered but the flavors were always consistent. The last few months we have noticed that our usuals do not taste the same, but we have always treated it as a one off. After our food (takeout) tonight I'm not sure if we will ever go back. The food was horrible, the flavor was just not there. We always order with the spice level 2, this time we had zero spice, the crab rangoons were two toned, bottom half burnt, top half undercooked. So disappointing. anyone recommend a Thai place in Yukon/Mustang? read more

We had been hearing about this place for a very long time and decided to come check it out. First of all, it's nice that a thai restaurant is open till 10pm on the weekend. Major plus. We got here about 45 mins before close. We were the only customers but that didn't deter us. Mentioned to the staff that I'm vegan and they said no worries and that they have vegan that eat there regularly. Ordered a Papaya Salad for appetizer and it was divine. Just be careful of the star level. We can usually handle spice and ordered a 3*. Talk about spicy...wow! It was a really good spice though, lingering but not overpowering! For dinner my wife ordered Lemongrass Chicken, I ordered spicy eggplant dish and added veggies and cashews. We decided to share a vegetarian pineapple fried rice. Wife loved her food and so did I. The star of the show was the pineapple fried rice. It's been a very long time I've seen one served in an actual pineapple. What a surprise. This is a must order dish. The chef came out of the kitchen and we had a very nice conversation about her love for cooking. Her husband was also extremely accommodating and made us a Thai Iced tea on the house. UPDATE: I want to start by saying that the 3 star review has nothing to do with the food. It is amazing! In fact, it is the best Thai food I have eaten since I was in Thailand a few years ago. However, I attempted to make a take out order today and it was a debacle. They have a new cashier answering the phone and she didn't know the menu, left half our order off, argued with me when I called back up there, never gave me an itemized receipt, and then charged me for the food she left off. I highly recommend the food, but eat, don't may a to go order until the get better help. I am sad that this was my go to take out place from Postmates, but now I don't trust them. Phenomenal! These were the best lamb chops I have eaten in Oklahoma. They were cooked perfectly, the sauce was amazing, and it was delivered in half just over half an hour. They need help. Dont get me wrong. They get 5 stars. They earned 5 stars. But they cant get/keep any good servers... and the food is soooo amazing that we still keep coming back. Obviously the food is good because 500 people come pick up to go orders as we wait for our food. Keep eating here. But have some patience, or send some good kids their way to be servers. Love love love! We actually came to eat here about a month or so ago, but forgot to leave a review. The server we had was great - always kept our drinks filled and made sure to check on us. The wait was a little bit long, but we understood they were busy. We ordered papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, pad thai, and another dish (forgot the name - but it was delicious). Pineapple fried rice came in a pineapple , but a little sad there wasn't actual pineapples in the dish. Papaya salad was spicy - per husband's standards, but it was so good I couldn't stop eating. Went out for my birthday lunch with my mom and we had no idea how big the portions were!! Definitely suggest going with others and sharing your meals that way you get to taste all the yummy meals. Everything was hot and fresh. Will definitely be visiting again soon . read more

The food was okay at best, some dishes were better than others. The fried rice was definitely the best one. The drunken noodles were nearly inedible. If it was just off that dish alone the review would be worth only one star. Some of the food we received tasted old. Overall we probably won't order delivery from here again. We may give it a dine in try as some restaurants are just better when you are there. read more

Just moved to mustang about a month ago. Tried Thai Orchid out as takeout. No need to worry about small portions. I'm a big dude, and couldn't even put a dent in my dish. So plenty of leftovers for sure. The food was fantastic. I got the pineapple stir fry and was really pleased. Will be going back for sure. I would recommend trying Thai tea, a milky sweet iced tea, and Tom Yum, a traditional soup based on coconut milk and spices. Their Pad Thai can come with a choice of meat/seafood, however, Royal Pad Thai with Thai Steak is a sort of chef's special. Beware of spice levels! From 0 to 5, a 3 will knock your socks off. Absolute best service and food, even after a chaotic night for them. My husband placed a pick up order 6 minutes before they closed (which I don't ever recommend and personally think it's rude but we were in a pinch because we both got off work late). When my he called he asked if it was too late to place an order the owner replied "It's never too late!" They fulfilled the order perfectly and promptly, as they always do. But it turns out, they had an unexpected guest walk (in who was very intoxicated) and was threatening to the point that staff members were uncomfortable enough to involve law enforcement. The owner and staff handled it perfectly and the police showed up and took the suspect in custody. The owner and staff of this place is truly unmatched. Fulfilling orders with a happy heart even after dealing with what most of us hope to never encounter. Depending on what you get the food here is awesome my wife and I especially like the pineapple rice. My wife gets the chicken rice and I get the shrimp rice. We have tried several of the sides and light most of them. The owner and staff are very friendly and seem to really care about the food they serve. Tried this place after seeing it near where my kids do dance and karate. We love Pad Thai so we had the Bacon Pad Thai and Chicken Pad Thai. I'm not sure if the bacon one was supposed to be made with chicken too. The menu said tofu, but my kids rolled with it. We barely put a dent in the food. We definitely could've shared 1 order. We traveled most of the day, and we were ready to eat and rest. We used the Yelp app and ordered via grub hub. There was some confusion when the order was placed in the app, and the restaurant called me when they caught the issue and were proactive in assuring me the order was good to go. The portions were oversized, and we ordered way too much. The downside was the flavor was not what I expected based on Thai food from other restaurants. There was no spice to any dish whatsoever. I am sure that can be remedied if they know ahead of time when ordering. Good grief, this place is DELICIOUS! Thai Orchid serves up some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten. Before the shelter-in-place stuff, we ate there a couple of times. You can tell it's a small mom & pop type place. It's very clean and has a nice feel. I believe the owner is the one who waited on us (and everyone else that night). He was energetic and polite and really made us feel at home. Since we've been hiding out in our house the last few weeks, Thai Orchid is one of the few places we splurge on for meals from outside. We can't wait for the Door Dash driver to arrive with each order! On top of the amazing taste, the portions are ample, so ordering out gives us more than one meal. I can't say enough.
