Ok, this was one of my favorite Thai places, but now it's all different. We used to come here all the time, but now it all changed. The service had gone downhill completely. Today we decided to get takeout, and called ahead. They had told us there was a 30 minute wait to get the food. Once we got there, the air conditioner was out, and the food wasn't ready yet. We had to wait an additional 35 minutes to wait. That want even the worst part. We got home and looked at our food and on one of the dishes, there was a dead, cooked roach in the food. I could not believe how terrible it was to find a roach in my food. I will not be eating there ever again. read more

Best pad Thai on the north shore, both in taste (spicer and not super sweet) and in generous portions! I love this place and I tried all the Covington ones too- I say this after spending quite a bit of time in Thailand. This place is legit, and quite a value. The food at Thai Pepper was as beautifully prepared as it was delicious. I had the Basil Eggplant with Chicken and loads of colorful vegetables. The rice was also prepared perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Bring your credit card if you are coming to eat here. Ordered Thai fried rice w/ (7) shrimp and 2 orders of Thai basil w/chicken take out and it was $38!!!my last time here. Used to be my go-to. Oh well, moving on. I was the only one in the place. read more

Not terrible, but not the best red curry around Mandeville. The cheese roll had barely any cheese inside making it mostly fried dough.

the pad thai is amazing and the rest of the food we tried was delicious as well. My husband and I were super impressed by this place.

Surprisingly good and authentic Thai food for a Louisiana suburb. Coming from NY, I must admit that I had low expectations for this place, but everything we ordered from the green curry to a spicy chili chicken, was extremely tasty. I would definitely go back if I were in the area again. read more

The service was extremely slow, although there were only 4 tables. I ordered stir fried eggplant with shrimp, and the eggplant was cooked until it was absolute mush, and the shrimp were raw. For an appetizer, we had calamari, and it's a very small portion. Neither was seasoned at all.. They don't have an alcohol license, so you can't get wine or beer. Waste of time and money. read more

I had their lunch buffett for the first time since moving to the area. The name was taken from the location where part of the staff previously worked in Baton Rouge a few years ago. Too bad they didn't continue with the Thai Pepper Baton Rouge quality of food. I've been to Thailand and don't consider this restaurant as authentic Thai food. It is a subdued chinese version if you ask me. The place was clean, but small with very small. There is not much of a buffett selection. Maybe try this for dinner, but definitely not lunch. I will stick with the original Baton Rouge location when I'm in the area. read more

Waited 30 to 40 minutes for our food and went and asked since we had to be somewhere and they hadn't even started our food. .. This is the third time we had to wait over thirty minutes... Last time we ordered by phone ahead of time and still had to wait 30 minutes. I knew we were in trouble tonight when they brought out one dish at a time for the other two tables that ordered before us. The food is usually good but last time it was not as good. Hands down, the best thai food I've ever eaten. Worth the drive to Mandeville, Louisiana. Order the chicken larb and green curry. The use of coconut oil enhanced the curry dish so significantly I couldn't believe it. read more

My sister, 89 year old Mother, and I had a delightful meal at Thai Pepper. My sister has special culinary needs which the chef gladly adhered to (having to do with seasonings) and he prepared my mother's dish (Thad Pai) to perfection. I had chicken Pad Thai and it was superb! There are many Thai restaurants in this area, but I have to say that this is my favorite. read more
