I am sorry...But I was so looking forward to eating Thai food. I had just returned from a two week business trip through Europe and one of the first things I wanted to eat when I returned was Thai food. We could have taken the 101 and gotten off on Hollywood Blvd into Thai Town, but we were already heading into Glendale to run some errands. We looked around and found this place on Yelp. I wish we didn't...As you can see from the pictures, the taste was exactly the same...plain, unappealing, blah... The pad Thai had no flavor and the beef Panang curry had no coconut flavor at all. It was if they watered it down and all the flavor went down the drain. If you asked me two years ago, I would've said this is the best Thai place around this part of LA. We ordered takeout from here pretty regularly . But over the last 1-2 years, the taste has been inconsistent. It is clear when their Chef is not cooking that day whether because they're training someone new or because their chef is out sick. Very very salty red curry and pad see ew. I feel like they have potential to be good since the flavor of the curry and the chew of the noodles were both good. However the overly salty taste and rubbery beef made this sadly a 2 star place for me. I might try it again in the future if I hear them say they improved on these issues. read more

Although the restaurant is available on 3rd party apps (postmates, grubhub, etc.) they do take a larger percentage of the sales. I love this restaurant so much and I wanna do what I can to make sure they're able to thrive. This Thai restaurant has been my go-to for years and I have no idea why I haven't reviewed it sooner. Like many small businesses, Thai Rama has been struggling during the pandemic so when I order, I get enough to feed my family for a few days. Their food is sooo delicious they've been able to accommodate any changes I'd like. Our go-to dishes are: Chicken Pad See Ew Chicken Tom Kha Combo Fried Rice BBQ Chicken Cream Cheese Wontons Of course their Thai tea is really good too and I end up ordering a couple extra for the next day. I've never had any complaints or issues with this restaurant. The only thing that's ever happened was waiting a little extra longer for a large order but that wasn't a problem for me - the owner/manager kept apologizing even though I reassured him that it was ok!! Had to argue to get our full meal refunded, and even after doing so they didn't refund the tip! I'm not sure if they forgot the sauce, but it was literally just pieces of fried chicken. The chicken itself was good, if you just want fried chicken w/o any sauce, spice or seasoning... but I missed the orange sauce I was expecting.
