Excellent Thai dishes by chef Birt. Everything I've tried on the menu so far have been great.

Good food. Price is high but it's because they give big servings. Taste is authentic.

Love it love it love it!!!…read more Love the layout and decoration not to mention how friendly the staff were. Food wise, omg to die for! We got a combination of BBQ pork with papaya salad and black sticky rice and we asked if I could add one more Lao style papaya salad into it and she said 'yes!!' Also Nam Kao Tod and beef jerky were so tasty!! Would totally recommend this place!

We ordered the Pun Khao Poon platter (lettuce wraps) with pork springrolls, pad thai with chicken, and the mango salad. The portions were very generous. The mango salad was the highlight of the meal, followed by the lettuce wraps. The dressing in the mango salad had just the right combination of sweet and tangy. We loved the addition of mint for the wraps, but I personally don't care for perilla leaves. The fish sauce accompanying the wraps was delicious and was also great over the pad thai, which was a bit on the bland side without it. Service was a bit less than perfect. When one diner asked for water, only her glass was refilled when another glass was obviously in need also; minor overlook, though. The one thing that was a bit disturbing was the noise level. It was extremely loud, so it was really difficult to hear each other talk. It didn't help that the party at the next table had a woman who cackled loudly when she laughed. It was a relief to step outside after we ate. Not sure what can be done to help with this, but it did make dining there not as pleasant as it could be. Even with this, I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

If you value elegant but not pretentious wit and atmosphere - this is the place for you! Second - the service is fantastic. Once you enter the place, we were greeted with a welcoming energy and our server was absolutely lovely - super attentive but not "on you all the time". Just right. And lastly - of course - the food is just outstanding! All the Thai classics you wish for but presented in a modern way. Everything we had (we shared an appetizer player and a couple more dishes) was so flavorful, the dips were to die for (I asked for extra to take home with me!). Will I be back! Yes!

My husband and I arrived on a Saturday in the late afternoon and there was already a wait for walk-ins. We were impressed with the hostess who greeted us at the door. She did a great job letting us know how long the wait would be. We felt that she cared about what she did and wanted to make sure our first impression was a good one. When the wait would have possibly gone longer than the 15-20 that she quoted, she made sure to let us know and why. We felt as if we personally mattered and were not just covers needing to be sat. She offered to get us drinks and gave us menus to peruse while we waited. The kitchen was going at full throttle. Togo orders were flying out the door and more were lining up. Once seated, though friendly, service was not as impressionable as the hostess. We had asked her to stagger the dishes a bit but the three dishes came out all at once. The table was small. We understand that they were busy but that did affect our experience. The Thai Iced Tea was refreshing. We also had Fire Cook Beef, Pad See Ew Noodles, Spicy String Beans and a Side of Steam White Rice. Nice portions. Dishes were nicely spiced so much so that we forgot to ask for a spice rack. We ordered a lot so we could enjoy leftovers -- and the next day, we sure did! Everyone was nice and overall it was a nice meal. We look forward to returning when we are back in the area.

The tofu yum salad was good, except for the greens, which tasted like they were not washed well. Eeeek! The spring rolls also were stuffed with this cheap store package of greens. The woman that took our order said it was Safeway box of greens, which makes sense. Safeways in this area have the reputation for low quality produce. We will probably do another take out order at some point just to try again, but first impression was that it wasn't worthy of being put into the regular rotation.

When we left an hour later, there were two other parties of two in the restaurant. Service was fast and courteous but the food was lacking in taste and originality. Ordered the seared pork lunch plate. Instead of being grilled, the slices of pork were merely pan fried with little to no sear. The accompanying sauce was a bottled sweet chili sauce, the same that was served with the order of imperial rolls we had as an appetizer. The positive was the cold Singha beer that cost $4.50/bottle which is a bargain in Marin. The interior decor was dated with faux plants. Nothing remarkable about this establishment and will not return as there are much better Thai eateries in the area.
