Excellent food, great service, reasonable price. Particularly nice to go to when it is warm out and you can sit on the beautiful deck.

I really want to give this place 4 or 5 stars because the food can be quite good, and the outside seating is lovely (when weather permits). The papaya salad, and the tofu satay are our favorites. The main entrees are so so, and I agree with other reviews saying the flavors sometimes are bland and not seasoned authentically. The real problem, though, is that the employees are just plain mean. I mean straight up like you are bothering them if you ask for anything. And, like another person said in their review, they literally throw the plates on your table and walk away. This has happened to us with multiple servers. They don't ask if you need anything else or how is everything ...they literally do a drive by to drop the food and keep going. I have seen servers drop off food to a table with a smile, and then the moment they turn their head from the seated party, they roll their eyes and rush back to the kitchen. It feels kind of cringe, you know, to feel like these people hate us. So weird. Last night, I wanted to ask that the seasonings were for the tofu satay. and I had to flag down a server, to which he seemed like I was bothering him with my question. I tried to warm him up by sharing how much we like that dish. He did a quick smile, then took a deep, exasperated breath as he turned and rushed off immediately after answering the question. There is no warmth here. I get that they are busy, but this is something I haven't experienced anywhere else, and to this degree. Yikes. read more

I met some friends here for lunch. I had the BBQ pork. It came with rice and a salad. It was very good. The restaurant had comfortable seating and the acoustics were very good. I like when I'm able to hear people talk to me without a lot of noise in the background. The staff were very friendly, but one asked about a certain appetizer that my friend wanted to have they just said no they don't have it anymore. They didn't offer any other suggestions or show us a menu that had the appetizers. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience at Rnoh Thai was bad enough to warrant one. I ordered Panang Curry with chicken through Grubhub and received tofu and vegetables instead. When I called the restaurant, they were dismissive and immediately blamed Grubhub, saying they received the order incorrectly. The problem is that my Grubhub receipt clearly shows one Panang curry with chicken and one with tofu and vegetables. It does not show two tofu and vegetables dishes like they claimed over the phone. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, apologize, or offer any kind of help, they simply told me to contact Grubhub and ended the conversation. No accountability and no customer care. Mistakes happen in food service, but how you handle them matters. This was poor service and a frustrating experience from start to finish. I will not be coming back. read more

We ordered takeaway tonight. Overall, it was great. Everything was ready on time and we were impressed that they agreed to make the salad with the dressing on the side and no onions. We also ordered 90 minutes in advance. Everything was ready on time. My husband loved his yellow curry with shrimp. He was impressed with how many shrimp were included and how fresh everything was. New layer of disappointment...after more than ten online chats and exchanged emails with Eat24 to try to get this (wasted) full order refunded, I was told "I have gone ahead and issued a refund for the missing item, the Thai BBQ Pork, directly from Eat24. Please be mindful that this is a courtesy and not our normal policy." If I'm reading this right, I've been done a "favor" not to be charged for an item I did not receive? If Eat24 will not stand behind ensuring orders are delivered complete and on time, or provide a pro-active update and option to cancel if there will be a very significant delay, using Eat24, especially at R'Noh Thai, seems to turn "eating dinner" into a gamble, which certainly isn't how I like to plan my family meals. I still *love* Yelp's core platform, but Eat24 and R'noh Thai have lost my business in perpetuity as a result of this. :( read more

I used to visit R'noh Thai Restaurant often in the past and had good experiences with the previous owners. On September 29, I decided to order takeout for the first time in a long while. I ordered soup, a chicken Pad Thai dish, garlic noodles, and sticky rice. At first, the soup tasted delicious and comforting, but after the second sip, the chicken had a horrible odor and flavor. The chicken in the main dish tasted exactly the same, and the smell was so strong that I had to wash all my dishes and even my wine glass with vinegar--twice--before the odor finally went away. The garlic noodles, which were supposed to be vegan with just noodles and garlic, instead tasted like shellfish, were overly oily, and had an unpleasant flavor. On top of that, I found three or four pieces in the noodles that felt like wood, all about the same size, which was very concerning from a sanitary standpoint. The sticky rice was also molded in aluminum foil, which I've never experienced before at other Thai restaurants and do not find healthy or appealing. This was one of the most disappointing takeout experiences I've ever had. I can't imagine serving food of this quality and charging such high prices. I will not be returning, but I do hope the restaurant takes this seriously. If they want to succeed in Marin, they need to raise their standards--people here know and appreciate good food. For now, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will be giving it one star. read more

Our kitchen sink backed up yesterday, so we had to go out for dinner, and chose R'Noh Thai. Close, convenient, good value--these were our thoughts as we drove over. We had a VERY disappointing meal. The fried sweet potato batter enclosed underdone potato. The Pad Thai could have been seasoned more assertively; there's a difference between mild and bland. One appetizer, one noodle dish, and two cups of tea set us back almost $50. We won't be going there again. Another restaurant crossed off our list. read more

My favorites are the chicken pumpkin in yellow curry, the chicken satay and the mango sticky rice as well as the coconut custard rice. The pleasant outdoor deck looks out over a field and Corte Madera Creek. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Have had the sautéed eggplant, the basil chicken, the beef salad and the shrimp in garlic sauce, but much prefer the dishes listed above. read more

This is such a cute little spot. The place feels clean and cozy. We ordered Tom Ka Chicken, Pad Thai, Eggplant Chicken, and Green Curry Chicken. I enjoyed all of the dishes. The Tom Ka was creamy and had a generous portion of chicken. It was sweet, but not too sweet. 8 out of 10. The Pad Thai had good flavor to it. I had to add some spicy fish sauce to give some kick, but overall, very good. 8 out of 10. The Eggplant Chicken was fabulous. It had generous portions of Eggplant and Chicken. Everyone at the table thought this was the best dish. We even placed an order to go. 10 out of 10. The Green Curry Chicken was good, not great. I could have used a little more kick and was a little more watery than I like it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but given I always order Green Curry Chicken, it wasn't the best version I've had. Solid 7+ out of 10. I've been to only 2 Thai spots in the Marin area, and this is definitely a place I'd choose to come back to for my next Thai craving. Good food. Clean environment. Though Marin is not known for its Asian offerings, many of us think this is the best Thai restaurant in Marin. Great Penang curry (I lived in Singapore, where Penang curry is ubiquitous, and their Penang curry is up there!). Other favorite standbys include dishes like their Pad Thai. My husband and I have loved R'noh for a long time, but our last experience there in November was disconcerting to say the least. We arrived at 7 PM on a Thursday evening and it was fairly quiet, but the sign said they were serving until 8pm. At first, everything seemed fine and friendly - until our server, Jay, literally threw the dishes for our entrees on the table (yes, we jumped and looked at each other with surprise when it happened). We didn't say anything, but it was definitely a first for both of us. And unfortunately, he also got one of our orders wrong. Fortunately, one of the other servers very graciously helped us. The food was good, as always, so I did leave a good tip. Everyone has their off days, right? But now I just got my credit not card statement and discovered that he tacked an extra few dollars on top of what I had very clearly written on the bill. Not cool. I love that it comes with greens (love the dressing) and beets on the side. The brown rice is perfect and I've never found it anywhere else. And they put carefully cut orange slices in the water. I ordered takeout since I was in a mood for soup and noodles. R'noh Thai was at the top of my list to try next. I ordered veggie tom yum (soup), spicy papaya salad, red curry with tofu, and pad se-ew. The order was ready quickly which was so appreciative. Pick up was a breeze. I tore open the bag and started with the tom yum. I ordered medium spice but it was mild. In fact everything was mild or no spice. I like my heat so I was disappointed. I loved the fresh veggies and they were cooked perfectly. Papaya salad was crunchy and on the sweet side. I ordered this spicy but there was absolutely no heat. I barely tasted any fish sauce. Red curry was ordered medium but this was also mild. Again, lots of veggies but the curry was missing flavor. I wish there was a note on the menu that rice was not included. Pad se-ew had a nice sweet flavor and the veggies were great. Again, no spice and mild flavors. Overall the portion size is decent and I loved the fresh veggies. If you prefer mild to no spice, 5 then this is the place for you. read more

I was really excited to try a new Thai place and this one looked legit and it was close so I had high hopes. I got the pad Thai, a good barometer for how good the restaurant is, and let me tell you it was BLAND. It tasted like the fog driving into the city. It tasted like someone shouted "peanuts" while I walked took a bite of a dry ramen packet. It tasted like someone washed the food with the dishes and then served it. It wasn't bad per se, it just needed more. Maybe it was my bad for not asking them to make it spicy, but they also didn't ask for a spice level when I ordered. They were able to modify our order to make it vegan and everything was just delicious- the papaya salad, panang curry and pad kee mow; bursting with flavor. But the star of the show was the Tom Kha. Only been here twice, new to the area for work. I always love and enjoy a good Thai food and I am very happy to find out about them. First meal I tried was the Pad see ew w/ beef which was heavenly delicious. And today, I had some of the shrimp rolls, yellow chicken curry, Thai Iced tea and Singha beer for a warm sunny weekend. Again, they did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. I got to eat outdoors which was very nice. My south east asian roots knew that these flavors are so familiar that it makes you feel like you're home! Compliments to the chef/server Jo, (hope im spelling the name correctly). I would definitely recommend and bring friends and family here! It has been a pleasant experience to enjoy the food and enjoy the place at the same time. Oh, it pains me to write this review. As you can see from my three previous reviews, they were all 5-star. This has been my favorite Thai restaurant in the entirety of the Bay Area for years. Because of the pandemic and the fact that I live on the peninsula, I haven't been able to make it back in a couple of years but was able to do so recently and was very excited about it ... but was very let down. So the interior is still nice, of course, and the people who work there still wonderful. But, I'm sorry to say, I'm gonna have to echo a few other recent reviewers below who used to love it here but feel the quality has gone down a bit. The Tom Kha Kai, which all these years was the very best I had ever eaten, this time was really salty. The Panang Curry ... also salty(!) and just didn't have the flavor that I'm used to at R'noh -- it was just sort of generic-tasting curry. To top things off, I ordered it with the beef and didn't love the quality of the meat. I actually only ate a small plateful and had a whole serving dish of it left but opted not to take it home with me. The Thai Iced was fine. I hope some of these reviews will give the owner some reflection on the food preparation. Again, I feel bad about this, but gotta be honest in my reviews and so I'm not gonna make this a destination restaurant anymore -- although, sure, I'll give it another shot maybe in a year or so and see how things are going. read more

This is my FAVORITE THAI PLACE OF ALL TIME (if not my favorite restaurant of all time). I've tried lots of different paces and even gone to Thailand but nothing compares. Everyone I've brought here has absolutely loved it. The pad see ew is absolutely scrumptious and so is the tofu satay. I also love the yellow curry and coconut rice. As an appetizer the samosas are delicious. The servers here are always so nice and helpful. I seriously love this place so much and I don't say that about too many restaurants. read more
