This restaurant was good, but didn't exceed our expectations. It was sub-par Thai, and when they say their dishes aren't that spicy they really are. If I had been able to eat most of my dish without burning my mouth off, it would've been more enjoyable. They also don't customise the dish to the way you want it, i.e. taking out Chili peppers. Also, the crab rangoons are mostly fried wrapper with a little bit of filling. Decent for a stop in town by our hotel but not for a great sit down meal. read more

Pretty happy to have another Thai place in Laramie, not to mention one that serves great food in short order via a super friendly staff. We usually order the Panang and Green curries as well as the Crab Rangoon appetizer. We have a two year old and she really enjoys the broccoli dish. It's one thing to have two thai places in a tiny college town, but to have two good ones is a major plus. Every entree here has been great. I tend to get rice and noodle dishes that are very spicy and a bit on the dry side, which I've come to like. They're not drowning in sauces. I have eaten here twice and was sadly disappointed both times. The first time I ordered the sesame chicken and a drink for delivery along with some spring rolls. They estimated me a time of 35-45 minutes but my food was delivered over an hour later along with no straw for my drink, no forks, spoons, or napkins. My spring rolls were soaked in grease and the chicken was just these fried little blobs that were so overcooked the chicken was tough, dry, and hard to chew. Also, the 'sesame' part of the food was sweet and sour sauce with a tiny amount of sesame seeds on top. I got the sesame chicken again about a month and a half later just to see if maybe I was being too hard on them but I received the same quality food. I really enjoyed the food here and it is not my regular Thai restaurant in Laramie. I love the Green Curry and the staff have always been friendly. Parking is difficult and the seating area isn't the best, but that does't stop me from ordering carry out or delivery. read more

This is a nice and cozy little restaurant. They have all the usual Thai menu items like pad thai and green red yellow curries. We had the chicken satay and tomyum soup for starters and then had panang shrimp curry and padthai noodles of course. The food taste fresh and delicious. The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were good. The service was great. This was our first visit and it looks like it will not be our last. I will never return. Food was okay had good flavor but the vegetables were soft (soggy) and the dish was just warm. This is most likely attributed to my food sitting in carry out boxes for 23 minutes while the waitress continually ignored my presence. Compared to the other Thai food location in Laramie, Thai spice definitely follows its name by adding a little more spice to all of their dishes. The only issue I have with Thai Spice is their lack of consistency with their dishes. I have ordered the Kee Mao Fried Rice on several occasions. One day it will have a great balance of spice, on other days I feel that it goes beyond the spice level expected. Also, if you order the crispy chicken do not expect it to be crispy, it's usually drenched in the sauce and lacking the right texture that you would expect. read more

We landed in Laramie, looking for a place to eat and stumbled upon Thai Spice. What a find, and only about a mile from the freeway. I had the green bean and squid dish, nicely spiced (I might have gone hotter), and my wife had a milder cashew chicken dish, milder by choice. Very friendly waitress, inexpensive, decent wine, simple but pleasant decor. Sure beats another hamburger on the road! I think the u Wyoming crowd keeps it going. My mom usually doesn't enjoy Asian food for the so-called greasiness, but she loves Thai Spice and always comments on how fresh it tastes. I went to Thai Spice for the first time today. I'm leaving for a 5-week trip tomorrow and I needed some quick food. It's in the same spot where Burger Extreme used to be, but they cleaned the place up nicely. Anyway - I walked in, and I was greeted immediately. I ordered take-out. The order came out after ca. 5-10 minutes (forgot to look at my watch), but it didn't feel too long. While I was waiting, the cook(?) told me twice that the food was on its way. It's nice to be acknowledged and it shows that they didn't forget about the order. Took the food home, and had it for lunch - let me tell you, IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I've been to Anong's a few times, but this place blows Anong's out of the water. It's a little cheaper, and the food ... UNBELIEVABLE. I had a green curry, which I had eaten at Anong's before, but at Thai Spice it was spicier, the meat was leaner, more veggies, and a bigger portion. I was truly amazed by both the taste, the value, and the friendliness of the staff. Anyway, I am definitely going to make this one of my favorite eateries in Laramie, and it's potentially scratching on Sweet Melissa's status as my all-time favorite. I just hope that they keep the quality of the food as high as it is now and don't start cutting corners in a few weeks or months. Anyway. My husband lived in Thailand for 2 years while serving a mission for our church, and Thai Spice is the most authentic Thai food he has had in the states! He gets homesick for Thailand every time we go there (which is often!). The service is great and the portions are generous. I have eaten here many times because the food is usually consistent and great Thai food for Laramie Wy. The reason for my low review is because of the quality of service I received today on a togo order. I decided to buy my employees lunch today, we all decided that Thai Spice was the ticket! We called and placed the order. The food arrived when they said it would. After further evaluation I noticed we didn't get any sauce for our 2 Sesame Chicken orders, and we only received 2 small things of rice for 6 meals. I decided to call and ask why we only got sweet and sour sauce instead of the sauce that normally comes on the sesame chicken. The lady I spoke with insisted that Sesame Chicken uses sweet and sour sauce. This is absurd. if this is the case, then what does sweet and sour chicken use? She was very unprofessional and made no attempt to rectify the issue. After spending $100 on lunch, I would hope someone would care enough to make right by the issue. I guess not. Very good Pad Thai. My only caution was to be careful of the "hotness" rating. It's 1-5. But go low. Most of family order it as a 2 and found it way too hot. Very disappointing with the owner/manager of Thai Spice. Went to dinner this evening with my girlfriend and sister for a nice quick dinner. We ordered three separate meals one being the sesame chicken, crispy chicken, and pad thai chicken. Our waiter delivered the food and we dug in....my sister who had ordered the sesame chicken was not pleased with the chicken as it did not have sesame seed anywhere to be found on the plate and tasted nothing like a sesame chicken should. Turns out the sesame chicken was the crispy chicken and the orders had been mixed up. The crispy chicken was not crispy or spicy to say the least and had mixed vegetables on the plate which were not mentioned on the menu. This caused the confusion of which plate was which. We voiced our opinions on the matter telling the manager that the orders had been switched. The waitress said nor did anything to solve the problem and returned with our check in the full amount. Not once during or after the mistake was realized was my sister offered the actual meal she ordered. The manager confronted her employee in front of us and said he would be paying for half of the meal. This made us very uncomfortable and was very unprofessional. She neglected to realize that it was not his fault but her fault for teaching bad customer service. The owner/manager then attacked us saying she was the boss and trained them personally, she was more concerned with punishing her employee rather than satisfying the customer. Moral of the story is the mistake was not corrected and my sister went home hungry and upset. We paid full price for everything and were never apologized to. We will not be returning and my money will be spent on other business that RESPECT and treat their customers correctly! read more
