Thai Spicy is the place that makes you feel stupid for ever eating anything other than it. The food slaps everything else I've ever tasted out of the park. It's a hole in the wall and a gem at that. It's a tiny place but the flavor is bussin. Me and my fiancé have been on a hunt for the best Pad Thai in the Cincinnati area for a year now and after trying 8 different places Thai Spicy has the best by a landslide. Thai spice is a great little place for Thai food including curry dishes and sushi. I have been here twice. Once for dinner and one time for lunch. The restaurant is small and very loud. The tables are also tight. They do not serve beer wine or liquor. Overall the food is good. Service was friendly. Worth a stop or good for carry out. read more

I am SO glad I gave this place a try! I was skeptical that it would be anywhere near as good as Banana Leaf and I was pleasantly surprised. I went twice in two days bc I wanted to keep trying their items. Prices are better than the other place too and the food has even more flavor. They have the best crab Rangoon I've ever had. It's so creamy and the shells are perfectly flakes and crispy. The Tom Ka is my new favorite soup. (A little salty but if you love salt like I do you will be thrilled) and the Panang curry is amazing. I'm tellin ya GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY. Absolutely love this place!!! It's our go to Thai place in northern Cincinnati. They have a small staff, so the dinner rush can be slow (for dine in or take out), but if we get ahead of it, our perfect dinner is usually ready in 10-15m. read more

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS! This is coming from someone who as spent multiple trips for two months and more in Thailand at a time. From Chang Mia, Bangkok, Phuket, Kol Lak, and more...I've eaten from the finish dining to street vendors. Pad Thai...one of the best. Panang Curry...Great Stuff. Great experience! I called to put in a take out order for pho, they informed me that they recently updated their menu and pho was no longer available. They told me they would whip me up something similar and just as delicious. I trusted them and I am glad I did! My soup was hot, flavorful and full of spicy which is what I was looking for. My wife and I went here on a whim for lunch on Saturday. Our service was quick and efficient (it was a very light crowd, however). From scoping the place out on Yelp prior to entering, I had identified something I wanted to try and asked about it. It wasn't on the lunch menu, however, but they were very obliging and handed me a dinner menu. Bottom line: if you want the full range of soups/noodle bowls, the dinner menu is where it's at. My wife got Khao Soi, which was absolutely delicious. I got the spicy noodle soup (Tom Yum). I loved it, it was amazing and had a good spice level (2 out of 4). I definitely want to go back again and try a different soup. If you are a pad thai lover, I encourage you to branch out and try either the Khao Soi or Tom Yum soups. You will have no regrets. This place is great! My daughter saw it advertised on Facebook and suggested we try it. This is our second visit in 3 days! We came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and had the Phô, and tofu Pad Thai - Both were excellent!! We also had one of the special sushi rolls which was perfection. On our return visit for dinner we had the "fresh roll" or summer roll that is served with a spicy peanut sauce, Thai pork dumplings and chicken drunken noodles. Have been going here for a year now with consistently great service and food. Tonight was NOTHING like the last times we've gone. Service was very poor, my dining mate's salad (and entree) brought out over 10 min before my entree. He refused to eat it until I received my entree. People came in and ordered and their meals were cooked. It was bizarre to be one of two in-hide parties and not get served. When I finally made eye contact with the guy standing by the register, he asked me "what do you need?" "I need my dinner." It was then brought out and no contact with any staff after that. Hmm... I'm very confused so far. I had the Pad Thai with Chicken both times I've been there. First time it was really tasty, had a brownish tint, just a tad bit dry, and a little under spiced for a 3 out of 1-4. Second time, I got carry-out. They quoted me 30 minutes, which I thought was too long. I got there in 25, and could tell it was already sitting for a while. This time it was super dry, both the noodles which were all stuck together and chicken, had a reddish tint, an overly fishy taste, and had at least twice as much spice as the first time. I have no idea what to think now. I don't know if they had a different cook that day, or what. I know pad Thai varies on occasion, but this was like I was eating at a different restaurant only two visits apart. I wish I had taken pictI guess I'll have to try it again to come to a better conclusion. I hope it's good the next time because I miss having a Thai restaurant near me. UPDATE: I've been there a few times since my original review. While I want to give 5 stars, I can't, mainly because of the inconsistency of the food. Every time I've ordered Pad Thai for lunch, it's been dry and sticky, and under-spiced. I've ordered extra sauce in anticipation of this, and it has still come out dry, even when I have eaten there, and it hasn't had time to sit. On the other hand, every time I have eaten dinner there, it has been absolutely spot on. I had some Pad Woon Sen there that was incredible. I'm raising my review from 3 to 4, but my advice is to go there for dinner, and my advice to the business is to find a new lunch chef, or give them better training. read more

Pretty good. The Pad Thai was really enjoyable. It was rather informal, not expensive. I would recommend this restaurant.

We really wanted to like this place, but the first impression was odd. We walked in and there were five tables seated with a couple already eating. There was a young girl and an older gentleman that appeared to be the wait staff. Both appeared to be a bit frazzled. Even though the man saw us, it was a few minutes until the young lady saw us and seated us. She came back in a while to take our order and I could barely hear her and my wife (who is deaf in one ear) had to look at me to understand what she said. We ordered chicken satay to share. I ordered drunken noodles with pork and the wife ordered pad Thai with tofu. The chicken satay was amazing. The peanut saw was delicious! We both ordered our meals at a spice level 2-medium. Mine was extremely hot and the wife's was barely spicy. While I enjoyed my drunken noodles even with the excess heat, the wife's pad Thai was meh. It was dry with the noodles clumping together which made it very hard to eat. Overall, it was one of our least favorite pad Thai, which says a lot. We will probably give them another try, but it will be a while before we do try. read more
