Crab fried rice was amazing
Janny K.

I came by this place because I was next to a basketball gym. The food service was really good and came out fast . I love all my dishes i ordere . Thai tea was refreshing and I asked for less sweet. The food tastes really amazing. And the pricing is really good. They have daily lunch specials around fifteen dollars a meal. The food was perfect taste not too salty. And not too oily. I will definitely come back here again. The ambien was very quiet. Server we had so so kind!!! she packed our food to go when we asked for check. Thanks so much !!!!

I have tried MANY thai restaurants. Second one in Riverside and it was not good. I order pad see ew for pick up. Flavor was not it. It honestly had a weird aftertaste. I'm not sure if the meat was old. I got beef and it is an extra $1 and it was dry and taste old.. It was hardly edible. I just ate all the broccoli and only ate some because I spent $20 on it but I threw away more than half away. For one, it is made with regular broccoli and not chinese broccoli. That should've been the giveaway that it most likely wouldn't taste traditional. I had my partner pick it up for me and told him to ask for crushed pepper a few pickled jalapeños but they said they couldn't give anymore. Lame. The pickled jalapeños made it a little better but i didn't have enough of it. I just gave two stars for effort but unfortunately won't be returning.

Absolutely love this place! My husband ordered Thai Star BBQ for his company luncheon. 11 dishes- all of which were so delicious. The service was so accommodating and they even threw in a few extras at no cost. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality Thai food with great service.

I came to eat here yesterday during lunch time :) The staff are attentive, sweet, soft-spoken, and friendly! The restaurant is beautiful! We ordered 2 lunch specials and a yellow curry for Togo. The portions were excellent! The food was delicious and will come back again! The staff that took care of us even said "Thank you" in our language, I was surprised she knew we were Korean ! Sorry I didn't eat much of the meal, I am currently going through health issues and have lost my appetite. The food is excellent and I wish I could eat it all!

I always enjoy coming here for lunch and dinner. We are always greeted and seated right away. There seems to only be one person working the floor but she doesn't miss a beat. She is very friendly and very attentive. There is nothing special about the decor, it looks old and could use some updating, but the food is delicious and that's why I go. This time around my daughter ordered the chicken curry lunch special and I ordered Pad See Ew lunch special. You get a nice amount of delicious food.

They make you feel like you're home, the food is exceptional, they always ask how spicy you like it, which I find so satisfying, my family lives eating here! Thank you for your service Thai Star Bbq.

Mango sticky rice. Mango is big enough but not sweet. Sticky rice is okay. Presentation could be better.

Pad see ew. Taste okay, i really want to like this place because its close to my house. but i lost my appetite because one of server smells bad(armpit). I stop eating my food while she passed me. I really want to enjoy my dinner but i cant. After 2 times she passed me, i decided to go and took picture as proof i was eating here. Manager/ owner please help your worker, i dont know what happent to her, but she need helps!! I talked to Sarah/ other server about it. I am really disappointed tonight.

Everything was really good. It was refreshing to find a place this close to home that actually hit the spot--even my parents thought it was good, which says a lot. We usually end up driving out to Rowland Heights for Chinese food, so having something like this down the street in Corona is nice. The pan fried shao mai was probably the surprise favorite for me since I've never had it prepared that way before. The xiao long bao wrapper was a little thicker than what I'm used to, but it was still good. Honestly, nothing we ordered disappointed. Food came out pretty quickly too, so even though there's usually a line, it moves faster than you'd expect.

Nice offering of Shio, Shoyu, Miso, Tonkatsu or Chicken ramen. Noodles are perfectly cooked with the perfect bite, firm, springy and chewy.. Gyozas are piping hot with a crispy wrapper. Anyway... After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Good Luck!

I've never actually dined in, but I've ordered takeout many times. The restaurant itself is large and lovely, and it even has an awesome fish tank. I definitely want to sit down and eat there one day. The pad Thai is absolutely to die for, and I love that they actually (can) make it spicy, unlike some other places. I've personally devoured the entrée sampler all by myself and will gladly continue to do so. I can't wait to come back and hope you give this place a try too!

We were the only customers there at the time, which gave the place a bit of a quiet, lonely vibe while the staff chatted to pass the time, but they were polite and left us to enjoy our meal in peace~ We ordered the fresh shrimp spring rolls, which were incredibly fresh. My only critique is that they felt a little basic--just vermicelli noodles, carrot, lettuce, and shrimp. They could use an extra herb or element to elevate them, and the peanut sauce felt like it was missing a little richness (maybe some coconut milk?). For mains, we got the shrimp Pad Thai and a curry. The Pad Thai was delicious with a great sauce. The curry flavor was excellent, though the consistency was a bit on the watery side for my taste; I usually prefer it creamier and thicker, almost like a sauce. Overall, it's a solid, low-key spot to hit up when you have a Thai craving~~~

I didn't even bother to write a review at that time, but had submitted five photos, some good, others not, that told the tale. So this time, with some trepidation, we gave them a second chance. Glad we did. This time was different. Two dishes, the black bean ribs and the salt & pepper pork chops, turned out great. Not only did they have good flavor, both dishes were quite generous and meaty. And if we had stopped ordering right there, I wouldn't have had any reason to drop a star. It was the dim sum that almost ruined it. The siu mai (8 pcs) were small and oddly fishy tasting, lacking the traditional aromatics. One bite and I knew there was no way I would continue eating them. No reason to bring them home either. Was I willing to just throw away my $13? No. Disappointed, I bravely told the server, and then, the manager. I got a "deer in the headlights" response, followed with a "what's wrong with it" query. Awkward moment. But, minutes later, the server returned from the back kitchen, and the most miraculous, unexpected thing happened. She said they would take it off my bill! Honestly, I was not expecting any resolution. But in wisely doing this, they frankly rescued the situation and my attitude. I respected that one gracious gesture. So, while the siu mai will still never be anything I order here, there is a vast menu to explore, and a few dishes I already know will not let me down. Two of these were from our first time, the char siu baos and the shrimp with scrambled egg. These were good. That said, this is a decent business that proved they wanted my business. We will come back.

Tonight we got their mixed meat and shrimp over fried noodle. Absolute love this dish. Packed with flavor and not too salty. Also got their eggplant with tofu. Surprising this dish was quite delicious. Not too salty and quite savory. Totally get this again. Usually we get their eggplant with garlic sauce and it's quite filling.
