Absolutely delicious. We ate every last bit. We wandered in on the 4th of July and were greeted by a very pleasant and handsome young man. The food was the most authentic Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. We had the shrimp green curry and the kids had fried rice with crispy chicken. We also had steamed gyoza. There is a large seating area on the inside that can accommodate a large group & seating is also available on the outside. Great atmosphere & family friendly. Great staff & wonderful service. My wife ordered the Pai Thai which was so delicious. The favor profile was so different from other Pai Thai's that I've had over the years. We had a chance to meet the chef & owner & explained that his experience with Pai Thai is that it can be a little dry which motivated him to create a slightly wetter version with a homemade sauce that is out of this world!! The Chicken Bowl Ramen soup that I ordered had a rich & deep homemade broth. The crunchy vegetables offset the soft rice noodles which made the dish very filling. If you know your Thai ingredients, you will recognize the taste. Kitchen quality control assures authentic taste reaches your table. i had the pork laab and lemongrass tom yum soup. My friend had the green curry salmon. Both were the real thing and not an "Americanized" version of Thai cuisine. Again, the focus is on authentic Thai food with true Thai ingredients. Ambiance? I loved the old Ayara. Now they are under new management and it is awful. Firstly, $29 for the curry dinner, $19 for pad Thai - way too high. Everything is now served with plastic silverware and paper cups. No napkins available or given to the tables. No chopsticks. My husband's meal came and our appetizer never came out. My meal never came out. Based on what other tables said, this seems normal. We left after 30 minutes of waiting for my meal. My husbands meal was awful. He ordered the beef over salad. The description said it was severed over cilantro but there wasn't a single piece of cilantro on the plate. This place is sadly so awful that it will only last a few months. Hopefully whatever replaces it is better. read more

We had booked lunch at the Columbia restaurant but the parking lot Was full so we decided to get out of the busy downtown and drove by this looking for lunch. The food is fabulous. I just had the Chicken Satay with Jasmine tea and Pad Thia Shrimp. The order came out quickly and everything was Fresh, hot and delicious. The chicken was moist and tender. Not over done. While the Pad Thia was amazing. I don't do hot. This dish had a hint of heat with a bouquet of other flavors. All told this is a great place to stop. read more

Disappointing. Three of us ordered soup on a cold night. One of the soups came out a full 25 minutes after the others (which also came with gaps). The udon chicken soup had chicken that was full of cartilage. One of the Tom kha soups had a hair. And for some weird reason, they only use plastic silverware and bowls. I am 6 months pregnant and my husband said we should try a new place, today we went in and there were 4 out of 7 tables filled with people, I asked for a water with lemon and my husband an ice tea, he got his ice tea and 10 minutes later they gave me a bottle of water with a lime when I told the waiter it was a lime he said we have no lemons! Then we waited for him to take our order he started roaming around the restaurant touching random things and getting distracted we waited about 30 minutes before he asked for our orders, while waiting three tables received the wrong order and or didn't get there food and got a "discount" not much of a discount, they came over dropped my husbands food off and his noodles were not cooked and meat was raw and chewy, we waited another 30minutes for my food in which the waiter didn't write down so my food was never being made, after that he said he would give us a discount but didn't, I got chicken nuggets with fried rice and my rice was burnt chicken was cold service was so bad along with food and wrong orders we were there for a total two hours! I have never felt the need to not tip a server in my life but this experience was truly awful! Would not recommend ever dining here! read more

As I often say, I reserve 5 stars generally for only the finest dining but that said, this place is a serious 4.5 stars and all I can say is wow! In a town that is seriously devoid of anything resembling real Asian food what a gem this place is - very thoughtful and serious flavors. Important to note this is not the previous owner. It's a new family from Thailand that has brought along many of their favorite recipes. A true representation of Thai street "hawker" food with a very limited menu, but extremely refined and well worth your time. Not the Americanized crap most of us are used to. I know there'll be plenty of people whining for the sugary water crap like they get at Green Papaya, but this is totally different and the type of place that locals should be all about. Although on the edge of the tourist district, there are several neighborhoods that could support it, and locals should give it a try at least a few times. The kind of place that will grow and continue to develop over the years if it can get a loyal following. For sure some really interesting dishes. I was especially taken with the spicy Ramen and crispy duck soup as well as the really authentic crab Rangoon's. Definitely headed back and I suggest anyone with a taste for true authentic flavors give it a try (and if you're expecting sweet and sour anything, prob not your gig.) Extremely worthwhile! read more
