    Thai papaya salad with shrimp
    Ruby Z.

3.5* down Came here on a cold winter night for a big family dinner. Was easy to find street parking nearby (but might not always be the case as this is Berkeley!). Place is small and cozy, we did feel a bit boxed in as a larger party (6 people), but still manageable. Service is friendly, there were even little Ferrero rochers waiting for us at our seat when we arrived! The flavors were all generally good, we did feel like the portions were a little small for the price, but some dishes that hit the spot were: - Thai papaya salad (refreshing and delicious) - red curry with purple rice I would come back and give this place another try but probably not as such a large group, maybe with just a friend and share a few things. But with so many Thai/Lao places to choose from in the east bay, they have some stiff competition!

The inside is so cute, workers were so sweet, and the food was delicious! The peanut sauce is very flavorful, pad Thai and Thai fried rice were so good, would come back again!

Very solid. This is my third time coming here. Their fried tofu and chicken satay appetizers were quite good. Their cocktails were also very yummy. The place is very cute and has nice decor. The music was very loud so it was a little hard to talk, but overall still a good experience.

I came here for the big freshwater prawn noodle dish and left incredibly disappointed. Not only was the dish too salty overall, but there was also a piece of plastic in the noodle dish that I discovered. And the freshwater prawns were mushy and not fresh at all. I would strongly avoid this place, feels like a tourist trap. Good marketing, bad product.

Update for my previous review. Owners were amazing and immediately reached out to me and went above and beyond to make the situation right!

Great experience came here late night for dinner after an aggressive happy hour Was nice to walk in with the ambience and good vibes! Got some help from people sitting nearby that were clearly regulars on what to order! Full of flavor and authentic thai flavors always makes me so happy! The lettuce wraps were perfection and I would get them over and over. Khao sao was creamy and tasty!

Was in the North Berkeley area and was looking up places to eat for dinner. It was a Saturday night and some places close fairly early and others have wait lists, on Yelp there was availability so we walked over from where we were at and they were able to seat our party of 2 and we didn't have to sign up. It was very festive with party/club like music and busy! There was indoor and outdoor seating but it was cold outside and more of a waiting area. There's street parking in a pretty busy main area. We started with the Sai Aou- Pork Sausage, Thai Papaya Salad (less spicy than Lao), then ordered Panang Curry with Beef (slow cooked) I saw lots of people review this one. It honestly reminded me of Filipino Kare Kare. And we ordered a side of roti (so good to dip) and Pad See Ew with Chicken. My friend ordered a Thai tea and it was very tea/floral. Everything was really good and delicious! Definitely hit the Thai food craving! Lively, colorful, and bright inside! We were able to easily split the bill and they had a handheld machine to pay.

Tasty food ate within a beautiful ambiance as my wife and I celebrated our 10 yr relationship anniversary. That was our waitress that is pictured below. I had Pad See Ew and I can't remember what my wife had. However, she had an entree that had alot of seafood. We mouth enjoyed our meals. Oh..we had wings, but I was not a fan.

Didn't get pictures of the food because we absolutely DEVOURED it but the rice and noodles were very flavorful and amazing! Drinks were great the ginger on the lemonade made for a great kick and the tea was sweet yet filling. We were greeted quickly and eagerly by the staff which was great! Ambiance was cute I really liked the string lights they add a nice ambiance! Price was pretty good I shares a meal and it was about 45 bucks for 2 and we left pretty satisfied!

This food was so delicious that it made feel like I was in Thailand. Their plates do have many spices so if you're intolerant to that do beware. Service was quick and easy. My friend and I were in and out like we wanted to. Their decor was so cute, definitely gave Pataya beach dining in type of vibes. Staff were friendly, always very attentive. Many vegetarian and some gluten free options on the menu. I look forward to enjoying their food next time I crave Thai food!

First time to order to go in your restaurant , seen that you have great foods. Ordered pad Thai , Thai coffee Tea, sticky rice. The mango isn't good The restaurant sliced it all the way to the seed so I don't like to it that. It's very cheap. Your money isn't worth to pay that kind of mango because it hurts your throat and I easily get sore throat. Stop being stingy with mangoes. I always buy mangoes all the time. The tea is very strong I only taste it and don't even finish it because it triggers my migraine. I noticed they don't give or even put receipt also. You should always give receipt to your customers fyi. Thanks

I've seen Thai table driving up and down university for years. I finally went to try it on a whim one night and it's my go-to Thai food spot in Berkeley, I love the house fried rice with fried tofu. It's so filling and fresh. Dining in, my team and I went for a low key holiday party, service was great as was the ambiance. The location is quaint and tucked away, but there's lots of parking nearby in the day and evenings. A fun, casual spot for friends and family. Plan ahead, it can fill up fast in here, or just order to-go.

Thai Table sits on University Ave, basically a stone's throw from UC Berkeley -- the kind of distance where you could leave class mid-rant about postmodernism, snag a plate of shrimp rolls, and still make it back having memorized all 24 d-block elements like it's speed dating for metals before anyone noticed you were gone (trust me, they won't). The vibe? Warm, welcoming, none of that Berkeley strain of hyper-correct energy where everyone's triple-checking which ballot initiatives to petition for, what compost bins are displayed, and whether their aura is culturally appropriated. Here, it's just food, people, and actual enjoyment -- which in Berkeley feels borderline illegal. Parking? Yeah, it's Berkeley, so you'll do a few laps, but compared to San Francisco it's basically valet. Indoors is cozy, and outdoors is... well, it's University Ave. Imagine dining next to traffic fumes while watching the Berkeley Catwalk™ -- a nonstop parade of people who look like they're auditioning for a documentary called "Too Cool to Smile." Cyclists wobble by, cars cough up exhaust, and the main attraction is deciding which bumper sticker is the most sanctimonious. Alfresco dining? Sure. Romantic? Only if you're turned on by brake lights and self-righteous glares. The shrimp rolls? Lettuce, carrots, cabbage, garlic fish sauce -- crisp, bright, perfect. Basically, the kind of thing that makes you say "I'd share this, but I don't actually want to." (5/5). The basil chicken with black rice, fried egg on top? That dish has its life together. Balanced, bold, delicious -- everything your LinkedIn app profile pretends to be. (5/5). Mango shrimp was a pleasant surprise. Mango can get pushy, like that guy in your DMs who thinks "heyyy" is a personality. But here, it played nice with the shrimp, peppers, and even the zucchini cameo. (4/5). And then dessert -- mango sticky rice. Sweet, creamy coconut drizzle, sticky in the right ways, the whole thing just... worked. (5/5). If you're not smiling after that, I'd check your pulse. Overall: Nearly perfect. It's got the flavor, the vibe, and none of the Berkeley overthinking. You eat, you laugh, you leave happier. That's rare, dare I say unpseudointellectual?

Looking for an in-between spot (a sip and bite before dinner), we cozied up to the bar here for a quick cocktail and bar food snack. We ordered onion rings that came with the choice of a variety of sauces including Tikka Sauce, Siracha Mango, Sweet Chili, Korean BBQ, Hot Honey, and more. Both the cocktails and snacks came timely, and we enjoyed conversation and community chatting with other locals/tourists visiting Berkeley for a short time. The vibes are right in Tipsea and I dig the nautical ambiance/theme/play on words. Worthy of a stop through; street parking on Shattuck/paid garages nearby, but ride-share sometimes easiest for these locations. After being ambitious for three minutes to find parking, I parked across the street on Durant. My friend and I arrived, were greeted and seated ourselves in one of the booths. Looking at the drink menu we asked for recommendations - I got Lightkeeper's Daughter, which has a nice citrusy taste. Side note but I love when they give us crushed small balls of ice. My friend ordered the Green Lantern, which was very good. I think the fresh Fiji apple juice inside is what made this drink stand out, though it didn't have the slight cider taste that you get from fresh apple juice. It was just good. Drinks get a 5/5. I ordered the truffle burger and good gawd was it delicious. I'd definitely order again. It comes with fries, and I upgraded to the Cajun fries they had. Lemme get back to the burger - I'm not a person who goes crazy for burgers but sometimes I just have that craving for red meat. This burger did not disappoint - the mushrooms were made perfectly and were in each bite of the burger with nothing falling off - you know how sometimes the burger is too stuffed and ingredients start to come off? Not here. 10/5 for the burger. It just might be the best burger I've ever had, no exaggeration. Considering this bar markets themselves as the best bar in Berkeley and I had a really good experience, I'd like to come back and try other drinks and other items off of the menu. I never expected to be wowed by the burger here, but as a fan of truffle I was glad this was on the menu. They have NA beverages and I was tempted to try, especially since my astrological sign is the name of one of the mocktails, but here is my issue. Why are we having NA beverages cost the same as alcohol beverages? It just seems like a rip to me, no matter how well you craft us some juice. Just my opinion, but it's nice they offer NA beverages since more and more people are letting go of the liquor. However, my point still stands. $15 is nuts to me. Have I spent that before at another restaurant/bar before? Sure have, when I wasn't drinking and I've decided that I'd rather opt for water or a Topo Chico if offered. The ambiance here was mellow. Very dark inside so I didn't get great pics of the menu, but the pic of the burger? Good and necessary.

Both the drink and food menus are well thought out. We asked for some advice when ordering and the server (owner?) was very kind, honest, and helpful. Everything we had was excellent! We tried some standard choices and unusual ones and it was all amazing. Best veggie pakora (flavor, texture, and sauce) in the area. The spices across the board were artfully dimensional and delicious, not just hot or overwhelming. The cocktails and mocktails were really nice- a little unusual (distinctive, but not weird). They were well balanced and beautifully served. This is our new favorite Indian spot and we'll definitely be back!

I can't wait to come back and order food, but the drinks and ambiance remain just lovely, and the family that runs this spot are also just the most kind. We came ironically during their happy hour and ordered Espresso Martinis and watched the end of a big college basketball game. We started to see Shattuck 'wake back up' if you will, as most places close and reopen around 4:30-5:00pm. Service was quick, and if we weren't on our own food tour de Berkeley, would have ordered a couple of happy hour snacks or just stayed for dinner. We heard the Tikka Masala Fried Chicken and the Indian fusion brunch are something to def make our way back to try. Other unique menu items: Tumeric Mashed Potatoes, Sesame Avocado Fry Bread, Tigerlily Nachos & Tacos, and the North Indian Style Meatballs. Oh, and the brunch cocktails :) If you're looking for a date night spot in the month of love, grab some friends on the weekend, or just saddle up solo to catch a game, Tigerlily checks all these boxes.

We heard this building has been many different iterations over the years, but happy to have found this spot in Berkeley for a fun happy hour with friends. We enjoyed the wine flight (choice of 4 wines), each with a nice pour, and shared the spinach dip with chips. We also enjoyed an espresso martini to cap off the evening. The staff were super friendly, and the lounge was filled with what seemed like regulars. The lounge couches were super comfy and it was an overall very relaxing yet intimate experience. I would definitely come back again with a group, or even stop by for a date night. Parking is a bit tough in this area, but there is street parking (if lucky enough to find it) and garages nearby.
