    thai table Soft Roll
    Celia H.

I was greeted at the door by a smiling and very nice young lady. I ordered the soft roll with Shrimp, which comes with a peanut butter sauce, and is always my favorite. I had a distinctive flavor that includes basil, and is so delicious. I tried a new dish the Massala Short Rib Curry. It had amazing flavor, was full of tender chunks of beef short rib, potatoes, carrots, and onions. I opted for the steamed vegetables instead of white rice. The price for the short ribs was reasonable for the portion size. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. I always enjoy the meals here and will definitely return.

Came on a Friday night to catch up with one of my girls. Parking is pretty small so I couldn't imagine what the parking situation would be like when the other businesses around it were open. I had the shrimp rolls as a starter, and tbh I was underwhelmed. Thought it was a normal egg roll with shrimp instead of park , but it was just a regular shrimp wrapped and fried. For my entree I had the panang curry which was good. I got it with medium spice and it wasn't too spicy. I got it originally with chicken and ordered shrimp to be added which was an extra 4 bucks. 4 bucks for 3-4 shrimps was pretty pricy in my opinion. We did go an hour before closing so we did feel a little rushed with the ordering and checking out process. Overall, 4/5 rating for me.

We keep looking for an authentic Thai restaurant, we finally found one that taste delicious and authentic. To begin we ordered fried calamari it was gone in 5mins between my husband and the kids! Which tells you it's delicious. We had the tom yum shrimp soup mild and one spicy! Broth was amazing. Thai fried rice full of flavored perfectly cooked, fried red snapper with spicy mango salad on top I was wowed! Definitely recommend this place. The service was wonderful attentive made us feel welcomed. Family oriented restaurant calm yet fresh.

We came here for dinner at 730 and it was completely dead! So sad. We got sat immediately. There were maybe 2 other tables and a few to-go orders. The service was outstanding and very attentive. Really cool they give you a spice and sauce rack and also a wet towelette to wipe our hands since we ordered the chicken wings. The restaurant was clean and quiet. As for the food, we came knowing what we would order already. Thai table wings: 5/5 came out piping hot. Amazing sauce. Fried Basil leaves. 5 wings on the plate. Fried fish cakes: 5/5 great flavor and sauce. 5 on the plate. Plenty to share. Good crisp. Crabmeat fried rice: 5/5 good seasoning. Plenty of crabmeat and eggs. Beef pad kee mao: 4.5/5 beef was a little chewy but overall was good. Will definitely be back to show our support.

Everything about this place is amazing! Food is amazing. Service is amazing. Ambiance is amazing as well! Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Houston!

Tasty, tasty, tasty! Service and atmosphere: Friendly and very attentive service. Every one was polite and helpful. Clean and well decorated interior helped us enjoy our dining experience even more. Food and drinks: Very good selection of traditional dishes. Both appetiser and mains were well plated. The food was fragrant, very well balanced and seasoned. The Khao Soi was outstanding. Same goes for the fried fish dish. The dessert was plentiful and delicious. Pricing: $$ and well worth it! We found our new spot for Thai food.

Thai me to this table anytime. Early Sunday dinner @ 5:30 pm with the bestie. Required a little driving from me since I live in the city but it was worth it. It was relatively empty which is how we planned it. The restaurant is super clean and decorated beautifully with a lot of gorgeous touches of Thailand. Our server was adorable, prompt and friendly. She gave us helpful suggestions. Our order : som tum (Laos style), Thai chicken wings, red curry with pork, Thai ginger beef Som tum (Laos style papaya salad) (4/5) - really nice, thum well but left with a slight crunch, the shrimps were HUGE and delicious Thai chicken wings (5/5) - wings are always a hit or miss so sometimes I'm hesitant to order but my bestie said she was craving them and I'm glad she was - they were perfectly marinated and seasoned nicely, not overly fried but enough that there was a crunch while the meat was tender and juicy. Red curry pork (4/5) - another one I wasn't sure about bc I'm picky about curry but what a win, this was delicious and I couldn't get enough of the curry - I took the leftovers home and used every last bit of that curry to soak all my rice bowls in lol but for real Thai ginger beef (3/5) - this was good but I was too fixated on everything else to focus on this dish, the beef was tender and soaked up the flavor of the ginger which was not overpowering but complimentary Also had a Thai tea and a Thai coffee (not on menu) which were both delicious. The owner came by to say hi as well. The pricing and portion size for a Thai place were reasonable. I appreciate how nice the presentation of the food was as well. I would def make the drive again to stuff my face. We are interested in trying the whole fish as well as a few other dishes. Def a must try. Oh they also had these coconut chewy candies all the way out. I had regrets after I had it at home that I didn't take all of them lol.

Not too busy on a Saturday evening, just walked in with a group of 5. Their Thai tea is a must get, it was super refreshing! For apps, ordered a papaya salad. It was very nutty, but flavor was not bad. The medium spice you can deff taste a kick, so if you can't handle the heat, I would recommend mild. For my main, I got the pad Thai with tofu. Quite a large portion. Probably could do family style. They did not skimp on the tofu, gave plenty! I enjoyed the flavor of the pad Thai itself as well. Descent amount of seating in the restaurant. It previously was Thai cottage. Parking - within the plaza Service was good too, the hostess was also the waitress. So she did a lot of running around, but took care of everyone efficiently.

Good and amazing we loved it, we had chicken dumplings to start, and I can say those were the best dumplings ever, so good I didn't even get a chance to take a pic. It's a must try!! The ambience is very unique and quiet, we really liked that. Service was great, food got served promptly and always checking on us. Can't wait to go back!!

We had to order take out on a Friday night because it was 10 mins before closing (9pm on Fridays) and they processed the order incredibly fast. All tables were full when we picked up so I'm sure busy nights will be a bit of a wait to get in. We asked for "medium" spice but the receipt had been defaulted to "mild" thank god. It was still a decent amount of spice and any more I would have probably been sweating like crazy. So I would recommend starting off with mild and go from there unless you are a glutton for punishing spice. Their mild seems to be more like medium / hot at an Americanized Thai joint. Pad Kee Mow with chopped chicken was delicious. Fresh crunchy green beans and bell peppers, onions and tomatoes perfectly cooked with the perfect spicy basil sauce. Noodles all had sauce on them. Large serving size and great price. We also got papaya salad which was just right and nice spice. I wish I could come here often and try everything else on the menu.

There's a sign-in sheet. While we waited, we took a look at their two-aisle mini store, which is in the same room as the restaurant. We bought some interesting snacks and looked at the menus until we were messaged. Once we sat down, we shared fried tofu and chive cakes. They were amazing. The fried tofu was evenly crispy with a soft, piping-hot fluffy inside. (The sauce doesn't contain any fish sauce, since one of us was vegetarian.) The chive cakes were both crispy and mochi-like. I had the Thai iced tea and pompano fish. The staff scared us about the spice level, so we all started off with mild and a small variety of chili sauce, oil, and powder on the side. The ones who changed their minds to mild actually used them. So now we know that if you like medium spicy, go with the second-lowest level. I was fine with mild and ate my whole fish. Loved it. Our waitress was quick, but the kitchen... not so much. We all ended up eating at different times because we didn't want anyone's dishes to get too cold while waiting for the rest to come to the table. By the time my dish came, the first two main dishes were already finished (rice and noodle-based), and the third dish (curry) had already been at the table for a while. I also noticed another table that sat after us got all of their dishes (noodles and rice) before my dish came. The food timing needs some work. If you want a quick meal, I think their rice and noodles are the fastest. But the pompano fish was amazing. If you know how to debone a fish or eat one with bones, get this dish. There's free parking out front and in the grassy lot next to it.

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday and had no wait to be seated. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The spring rolls and dumplings were both very good and made a great start to the meal. The Pad Thai had nice flavor and was enjoyable. My husband ordered his dish at a spice level 4 (their highest spice level), but felt it wasn't quite as spicy as expected, so keep that in mind if you like a lot of heat. The portions were very generous, and we definitely had leftovers. The kids' chicken fried rice was a huge portion and was surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the mango sticky rice for dessert--it was a great way to end the meal. The only disappointment was the Thai tea, which tasted a little weak compared to what we've had at other Thai restaurants. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was good, and the portions were excellent. We'd be happy to return and try more items from the menu.

As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!

It could easily reach that level. Our waitress, Ann, was incredibly kind, soft spoken, and welcoming. My friend Sherita suggested this restaurant after we left a Yelp office hour, and I'm so glad she did because it introduced me to something I never knew I needed: the salmon mango fried rice. It was absolutely amazing. I originally planned to take some home for my son to try, but it was so delicious that I finished every bite in one sitting. Sherita had visited earlier in the week and tonight shared that she arrived; right before I walked in which was 30 minutes before closing time, Jackie told her to hurry up and order, even though she already knew exactly what she wanted and didn't even need a menu. Jackie response was unprofessional and didn't even wait till the table guest got to the table, which was less than seconds since we all arrive at the same time, and left the same place. During our visit, Jackie never brought us water. A couple who was seated after us received water before we did. It took over 10 minutes for us to get water. Ann took great care of us, but anytime we wanted a refill, we had to ask. At one point my glass was completely empty. I noticed Jackie refilling the water glasses for a table of six, so I managed to get his attention. He looked directly at me, scanned the room, then stomped away all fast without acknowledging my request. Instead, he told Ann that we wanted water, and she graciously brought it over. Even at the end of our meal, Jackie stood behind the register while my friends waited to pay, yet another employee ended up taking their payment. His overall energy felt very cold and unwelcoming. My friend even joked that it was probably for the best that he didn't refill my water because of the energy he was carrying. As someone who believes water absorbs energy, I honestly agreed. I'm grateful Ann was the one who served us with such kindness. The restaurant itself has such a peaceful, zen atmosphere. The greenery outside and the warm lighting inside create a cozy neighborhood spot that I truly want to love and revisit with my son. Thank you , Sherita for introducing me and Aaliyah to this hidden gem. I completely understand why you visited twice in one week. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, and hopefully next time the hospitality matches the quality of the food.
