The fried rice was ok, but everything else I had was delicious! What made it extra was our server who was amazing, funny and friendly! She made us comfortable and welcome from the moment we sat down! They can get crowded so if you have a big group or want to be sure you have a table quickly - make a reservation. The back room is great for groups and has a TV. Worth a try if you are in the area and love Thai food.

I'm a newfound sushi lover & was fortunate enough to have had great experiences here! I love the ambiance & how kind & professional the staff is. They also take reservations which helps tremendously! The menu is a bit overwhelming with sooo many delicious options to choose from, but no pictures to see what you'll be having. The restaurant plays great music & the staff is very attentive. This recent visit I had the Tuna Poke, Armored Crab Roll, Bagel Roll, Thai Tara Roll (my personal favorite), & the Trust Me Roll (super cool & worth trying -- the chef makes a surprise roll just for you & will ask for some of your preferences!). For dessert I had the mochi ice cream & tempura cheesecake (BOTH SO GOOD!) I love coming here & appreciate always having a wonderful experience. Will be a returning customer!

They have some great food and service here! A friend and I went the other day. They have Thai food, sushi, and hibachi on the menu. Our server Anya was excellent! She checked on us consistently and answered all of our questions. She even realized they brought out the wrong dish and offered to correct it. That's top-tiered customer service!! They have several seating options, including booths and tables. They also have a bar. It's a very inviting atmosphere. I started with a 2 roll combo with spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll. Both were great! The wasabi is the real deal, so watch out LOL! I had the green curry with tofu and tried the blackberry rice. The curry was excellent!! The flavors melded perfectly...yum! It tasted like brown rice, but Anya told us it was a healthier rice. My friend had the pad kee mao (drunken noodle) with chicken and extra veggies. She said it was delicious. I ordered the Thai basil fried rice with chicken to go. It was also delicious. It was our first visit, but we both will definitely return!

Kingsmill Roll, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna

Thai Tara is a MUST TRY! I choose to come to Thai Tara when I am in Williamsburg and it is delicious! The service is great. The sushi is fresh and I love the Hibachi. My favorite thing I've gotten is the Tuna Crispy Rice. I recommend this spot! It can get busy on weekends so plan ahead and make a reservation if you can!

Service is fantastic and the sushi really great. Thai was good but not great. Pad Thai too sweet, soup didn't have enough depth... the favor profile wasn't fishy enough.. the green curry was the best. Went in Wednesday at 4pm and is surprisingly busy.

I love how fresh everything is here!! The place inside is looks very nice and the waiters are always on top of it even at their busiest times. I was amazed about how fresh all the fish tasted. The toro was exceptionally surprising and was so buttery and melted right in your mouth. This is definitely my top sushi place in wburg.

Ambiance is a 5. Nice bar in the center with large monitor streaming football game. Clean booths, modern touches like shiny concrete floors, wave tiles surrounding bar, large Thai god face behind bar. Fairy lights line the windows, tastefully done. There's a sushi counter off to the side where sushi chef created his sushi creations. Service was great, a 5. They sat me down immediately. Served water as I asked. There was a large party that were seated right behind me. I wanted to be moved so they were gracious about it. There are so many different food selections that I've not seen at most other restaurants like their crispy soft shells, minced chicken with fried egg, etc etc. I didn't want to order typical curry dishes so I asked for recommendation. The server recommended the grilled steak with garlic pepper, which I ordered. I asked for medium well with very slight pink but it was well done! The steak came swimming with brown sauce (tasted oyster sauce) and blanched cabbage, carrots and mushrooms. It was good, I'd say a 4! I will definitely come back to try the other dishes, maybe even the typical curry to compare with other restaurants.

Great service-fast, friendly, and efficient. The tom yum was really good. The Thai Tara roll wasn't our favorite-the meat was too dry for us. The kingsmill roll we liked a lot. The pad Thai was good. The mango sticky rice was yummy. We would def go back. Happy that there's tasty food close to the house!

Good experience. We came on Fri night just before 6PM and the only seating left was at the bar. The menu was extensive....both for Sushi and Thai. They had a few local IPA's on draft....which was a plus and not typical for sushi/thai places. My bride went with the Pineapple Yellow Curry ($16) and I went the sushi route with Victoria Secret Roll ($16) and Escolar Nigiri ($6). We were both pleased with our selection. Service at the bar and from the entire staff was friendly and prompt. We would definitely come back!

Steak Hibachi with Fried Rice

I was in Williamsburg so I decided to take my date to this place. It was very well taken care of, the lighting and atmosphere was perfect definitely felt like I was right at home. They asked if we had a reservation we didn't and was seated right away. The food was really good, I had steak hibachi with fried rice and the steak was nice and tender and my date had chicken with fried rice. They were definitely a business spot with a lot of locals, if you decide to try it go early! I will for sure be back

The atmosphere: It's a small restaurant best suited for small groups, though there are a few tables that can accommodate larger parties. You order at the cashier and they bring the food to your table. There's also a self-serve drink station, and they provide free water cups that you can refill. The food: We started with the takoyaki and chicken karaage. The takoyaki was good, but fairly standard. The chicken karaage portion was generous, and the pieces were large. The coating was lighter than what I'm used to, which kept the chicken juicy, but it did make it a bit oily. I also wished there was more seasoning in the chicken or batter since I ended up relying on the spicy mayo sauce quite a bit. For my entree, I ordered the pork katsu with rice and tonkotsu sauce. It was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I also would've preferred a slaw instead of just a few pieces of lettuce. Portions overall were big, and the dishes are definitely shareable. The service: Service was touch-and-go, very much a fast-casual setup.

Felt bad, but we made sure to put in our order, eat without making a mess, and leave. They have a sneeze guarded area where you can see all the options for the poke bowls, but you have to order everything at the kiosks. Make sure to scroll all the way down on your selections to see all the options/toppings. FOOD: ~Poke Bowls: I got the 2 protein option and my husband got the 3 protein option with rice. The salmon and tuna was solid (they were cubed), and the spicy tuna was the chopped and dressed type. The flavor and texture of the spicy tuna was good. ~Toppings: they have a bunch of different options for toppings where you can choose as many as you want, with only a few of them having a surcharge. ~~the ones we got were cucumber, edamame, green onion, ginger, crab salad (shredded kani), seaweed salad, garlic crisp, roasted seaweed, and fried onions. Everything was good ~Sauce (you can choose up to 2): got the standard sriracha mayo which was tasty ~Shrimp Shumai (3.5/5): standard - note they were deep fried ~Shrimp Tempura (4/5): solid - very crispy and good sized shrimp ~Thai Tea (3.8/5) with boba (2/5): thai tea had good flavor and just creamy enough. The boba was not good though. Overall, this place was good and better than I expected.
