Went here for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Ordered Spicy Basil with chicken and the Angel Wings. For me, there seemed to be too much fish sauce on the Spicy Basil and the wings were not what I expected. They had a weird flavor. The staff was friendly and will give them another chance but my first attempt was mediocre at best. read more

The food was delicious. Great curry. The reason for the less stars is that I called for take out and the owner did not ask if I knew I was ordering from Oside. I thought I was ordering from Vista location and was frustrated to have to drive all over. When I asked about it she said there was no affiliation with ownership but that she hired the chef from Thai Thai in Vista and opened a location with same name? The Kao Soy was the most remarkable dish. Seriously amazing!! Let me preface this by saying, Thai food is my favorite food ever. I've been to Thailand and had a lot of authentic food while I was there, so my expectations are high. I've tried many Thai restaurants and this by FAR is my favorite. My family and I come here at least once every other week and order in bulk for special occasions. Our go to is yellow curry, pad thai with chicken, tom yom and fresh spring rolls. I've tried all the curries, ginger perfect fish, spicy fried rice and so many other dishes and literally have loved every dish I've tried. Very authentic tasting, huge portions, amazing service! I love their food, It is always fresh and quick. My GF always gets the fresh spring rolls. I especially love the thick peanut sauce and the spicy sauce that comes with it. The fresh and pickled veggies and sticky wrapper add contrast and texture. We also get the Tom Kha or Coconut soup with shrimp. It's my go to soup when I'm feeling sick or cold. Pops' favorite dish is probably the mussaman curry with beef. I think it's because its meat and potatoes. My mom always gets a seafood dish and or noodles or salad. Our most recent dish consisted of all three. The glass noodle salad has noodles, veggies and seafood and is served cool. Very delicious on a hot day. read more

I just recently had lunch here with my family and I loved the food and everything. We tried the curry and it was really delicious. They have different levels of spice, so if you really like spicy you can choose the highest level. The outside dining is definitely my favorite, the service here is the fastest I've had in years! Food was amazing! Khao soi was the best I've had. And Mangos and sticky rice was perfect!

This restaurant started out great. The food quality was good. I went there often. But then I noticed the rice tasted different, like they switched from jasmine rice to a regular grain. In my opinion, it didn't taste as good with the quality subpar but the rest of the food was still good. Then, a next time the orange chicken tasted really spoilt. When I I told them, the reaction was as if they weren't surprised at all. But I still kept going. Never ordered the orange chicken again. Saw the portion sizes change and the spicy noodles did not taste as good as before. But what turned me away totally was when I ordered spicy noodles and the portion size looked small so I asked if this was the large or small portion size. They said it was small and they could get the large. I said yes please. In about 2 minutes they came back with a bigger plate but the same small portion. It had looked as if they poured the small portion onto the plate. Then they looked me in the eyes and said this is the large portion. And of course, they charged me for large. This is where I couldn't go back anymore. read more

The price is excellent as is the food. The only drawback to this restaurant is time management. If they tell you 30 minutes, expect it to be more like 45 to an hour. The portions are big, the seasoning and spices are on point and the staff is very nice. The noodles had a ton of flavor and the vegetables were nice and crunchy when I would bite into them. When I came to pick up my order, the staff was very friendly towards me. I was on my way from San Diego to LA around dinner time and had been craving Thai. Around Oceanside I searched 'Thai/Oceanside' and this one had 5 stars. I was dubious because there were a number of others nearby with the same name and thought it might be a lower end chain with cookie cutter items. It was anything but. This may have been the best Panang Curry (my Thai go to) that I've ever had. It was fresh and super flavorful and the chicken was tender and not rubbery as I find in lesser Thai restaurants. The brown rice was real brown rice - with the shells still on - which gave me the illusion that it was healthy and this permission to eat it all. Worth noting that I ordered the small and the portion was so substantial that I ought to have stopped at half. That didn't happen. The super nice, smiley lady made the rice into a heart for me. Well we've been to Thailand several times we Heavy in just about every tie around San Diego and Orange County of course Owen's Kelly Thai spices to best and most consistent that we've ever had in the US just tried this one out of the women stead of ocean tie in Oceanside which are very consistent and very good a little pricey but very very good and I fantic but chai Thai restaurant we'd spent $80 worth of food for 3 dishes in a appetizer to gotta be honest media it was pretty weak we got bacon wrapped scallops don't know what that has to do it Thailand but it was basically 1 big piece of bacon with a pea size scallop in the middle in a tooth pick Everything else was badd their angel wings were more like chicken wings wasn't traditional style at all the pad Thai was too sweet their moves AM and was basically soup the only good thing was the Tom kha soup read more

This is the best Thai restaurant in this part of Oceanside. It tastes authentic and the staff are friendly. I went to the Vista location originally until they told me about this one opening up. One thing that is unique about this restaurant is that they have kao soy, which is a curry based soup and rarely at Thai restaurants. I haven't tried theirs, but am looking forward to it because it's a very savory dish. Try this place out, you won't regret it! Warning: be careful with their spicy levels because 3/10 is pretty darn hot in my opinion (that's how you know this place is authentic haha). read more

Ordered through Postmates tonight with my husband. Decided to try this since our go to is closed on Mondays. We did spicy level 1 due to since having covid I get HORRIBLe acid reflux to anything mildly spicy. It was soooooo spicy. Neither one of us could eat it without lips/mouth on fire. My husband called to ask if they would remake it if we came to pick it up. The lady was super sweet about it and remade it with no spice for us. It was very good.
