My favorite Thai restaurant! I've never been disappointed in any of my visits and honestly the more I go the more impressed I am. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is a little small but cozy and they do take out very well too! My friends and I started out with the egg rolls and spicy edamame. The edamame definitely has a late kick to it, but it's so good. Egg rolls came out super hot and fresh. Nice and crispy with the perfect dipping sauce. I ordered the Pad See Ewe, one friend ordered the Kee Moa (spicy noodle), and my other friend ordered the yellow (coconut) curry. My friend even ordered two sides of rice and both came as hearts! All three dishes were absolutely delicious. I love the Pad See Ewe and can almost never stray from getting it. Tastes the same every time! The spicy noodles were also yummy but my other favorite is definitely the yellow curry. Coconut curry is my favorite curry as I like the sweetness of the milk paired with the curry paste and potatoes. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu as everything has always been exceptional. read more

Small cozy authentic Thai restaurant located in a big plaza. I like their simple Thai style decor. The service is pretty good; attentive, nice, and fast. The food is authentic and very tasty. I don't know why this place can't keep their orders straight!! This is the third time I order something and it's wrong. I ordered drunken noodles with extra vegetables and what I got was an overcooked noodles in so much sauce it resembled soup with three small pieces of broccoli!!! Last time I ordered #29 and I was handed a bag with number #49 on the ticket!!! I told the lady who I assume is the lender and she yelled that "you ordered #35!!!" I said then why are you giving me order #49!! A nice man working there had to step in and tell her to step back. He was polite and apologized. Their portions are so small for the price they charge!! As For their pickled Thai chili, they have pickled jalapeño!!! The inside is always too cramped. I wanted to give them another chance but it's still a mess. They're also overpriced. I'm not sure what's happening but this is now the 2nd time I've been disappointed with my order. I've been craving fried rice so decided to stop by. The rice was extremely soft almost to a mush consistency which really isn't very good for fried rice, the shrimp had no seasoning on it at all and my level 7 spice seemed like a 3. This use to be one of my go to spots for Thai, but I'm not sure I can keep coming back due to the quality not being consistent. read more

I really liked this place! Is it the best Thai I've ever had? No, but it's definitely better than most. I split the Khao Soi and the Panang Curry with my wife, both were delicious! We got the Panang lunch special & the Khao Soi dinner. I really liked both & would have no problem ordering either one again. The ambiance was nice, maybe a little bit nicer than most Thai places- I liked that all the seating is in booths and somewhat secluded. The server was really nice and the food came out within 15-20 minutes. All in all I really liked this place, I will return. Usually Thai food is good but this place is even better than most- I left very satisfied. I would recommend this place. Happy eating!! read more

Beautifully decorated interior and very considerate of dietary restrictions! They even subbed out the pot sticker for an additional spring roll on the lunch special when they noticed I order the rest of my meal without fish sauce. I didn't even have to ask! Exceptional curry. They made the red curry with chicken gluten free for me and it gave my regular favorite place (Plumeria) a run for its money. Because of the chicken and the fish sauce it had serious umami but the curry was deliciously and expertly spiced and spicy. (Plumeria is vegetarian so it's a different vibe.) I have Thai curry everywhere I go including all over L.A.'s Thai Town and this is hands down the best traditional curry I've ever had. They also made the Pad Thai gluten free for me but without the gluten it just didn't taste the same. The noodles were stuck together in one big lump upon delivery and I had to pick the whole thing up on a lump and take bites or cut it with a fork. If I had coconut aminos at home I could have added that for flavor but I didn't so the noodles were just too sweet, tasting of tamarind and peanut and not much else. That's my fault though as I'm sure their version made with gluten is very good. I can't wait to order all the curries from Thai Thai. I ordered spice level 5 through GRUBHUB and maybe they didn't see the note because it seemed mild spicy. I'll try a 6 next time. Ordeed the Tum Tard to go. The flavors for the papaya salad, wings and noodles were very flavor and authentic. Asked for 8/10 spice level and it was very much Thai level of spice. The portion size was definitely enough for a party platter. This restaurant is definitely a real Thai restaurant that doesn't tone it down for American palettes. Something must have changed since my last review because the food now is amazing to me and the spice level hits. read more

The place has redone their menu and upped some prices but it is largely back to its former glory! Maybe the old chef came back? Taste is on point again after some disappointing visits in the past few months. Portion sizes seem to have decreased but I am glad the flavor is not compromised. I absolutely love this place and happened to accidentally come across it on a date. Since then I couldn't remember the name and searched high and low for this spot! Found it tonight! The food is great. The service is subpar. I am very disappointed because I love the food here but won't be coming back because of the lack of decent service. They didn't acknowledge that a customer walked it so I had to go to the register and asked to get a table, they pointed me to the table from behind the register and then proceeded to ignore me until I got frustrated and changed my mind and asked to order to go. I felt uncomfortable, similar to going to someone's house and having not been invited. Although I had initially given them a five star review, this last experience definitely left a bad taste in my mouth regarding their service. Customer service/hospitality is still relevant in today's day and age especially when it comes to restaurant experience. I am actually sad that I won't be able to go here anymore because of the service, like I said, their food is absolutely delicious. read more

I wanted to love it like a Ma and pa Thai spot, but it didn't wow me. I'll start with the good. The hot green tea was really soothing, an excellent sencha blend. The music was very traditional and relaxing at the same time. It was instrumentals that transported you right to Thailand. I picked a bad time at 5pm on a Sunday, a lot of young families with crying babies/young kids. It kind of threw off the mood. I ordered the green curry with chicken for my entree. The chicken was thin and super rubbery, they skimped on chicken meat. The bamboo shoots tasted "gamey" or possibly a day or 2 old. I was going to send it back but I was in a rush and didn't want to be a Karen so I just scooped out the bamboo shoots. The broth was the saving grace. The actual curry base was that creamy,spicy, velvety taste you want in a curry. The veggies and eggplant in the curry were perfectly al dente and crunchy. Next time I would do with tofu and no bamboo shoots. Overall, it seems like a convenient local Thai spot here in north SD county. I'll give it another try. read more

I regularly order the Yellow Curry with chicken but, tonight I decided to try the Pad Thai with shrimp. I have to say I much prefer the curry as the pad Thai was just a bit bland for my taste. It did include a decent amount of large shrimp which I appreciated. The yellow curry is creamy with a generous amount of chicken and just the right amount of spice. I typically order takeout so I don't know much about the actual restaurant. But the orders always come out fast and just as described. Absolutely the best Thai we've found in the San Diego area. Everything here is top notch, and they have a some options you don't typically find in most restaurants. Make sure to check out their specialties section of the menu. Our go-tos include the nam kao tod and northern larb (both are better eating in, but still good take out). The Khao soi, tom yum, pad kha pow, are particularly good; and all of the more standard noodles and curries are also very good. Although it may appear to be on the pricier side by reading the menu, the portions are so massive that it's actually a great value. read more

Otherwise standard, unremarkable flavors. The other dish was very sour and I couldn't bare to eat much of it. At least portions were big? Three adults shared an order of Green Curry and an order of Red Curry, which comes with rice and some seasoned chili flakes on the side; to-go. Surprisingly super delicious to all three of us. In a bowl added the rice and then the curry 1/2 red and 1/2 green (Christmas). See photo. One of those busy days, and in a pinch for dinner. Daughter chose the Thai Thai restaurant at the corner of College and Oceanside Blvd on the way home and got the food to go. Food was ready and hot upon receipt. For a meatless meal, two meals split three ways, was plenty in servings. Plenty of various ingredients. Saw tofu, peppers, bamboo, and other vegetables. Hidden gem, stopped here for dinner while out for a drive. Small but very nice interior, both booths and tables. Portions are MASSIVE, my lemonade was so big I never needed a refill. Most entrees you can pick your meat or tofu/vegetable option. We shared papaya salad and tom kha, and dad had a shrimp see ew. Everything was super fresh and delicious, definitely extra attention to flavors, my soup had lime leaves and lemongrass for taste. The service here also deserves its own note- truly excellent. I was craving thai food and this place definitely hit the spot! They ask for spice levels on most dishes and although I can handle spicy pretty well, level 7 definitely had a kick. The curry comes with white rice on the side and they serve it in a heart shape which is adorable! I love how the inside as well, very cozy. Service is really good and food is served pretty fast. Had a craving for Thai food on Friday night. Decided to go to Thai Thai and order takeout. I ordered Pad See Ew and Green Thai chicken curry. I ordered no heat on the noodles and medium heat for the curry. The green curry was very hot for it being medium but tasty. The noodles were disappointing. The order size was very small, almost like they took scraps from the pan from another order the takeout container was only half full. There were barely any noodles in it and a lot of sliced broccoli stems. The sauce was a bit flavorless. It's usually pretty good there but I feel when they're super busy the quality of the food goes down. I was pretty dissatisfied. Tonight's eating gets a 2.5 from me. read more
