My friend and I stopped by the restaurant after visitting the Bushkill falls. The restaurant has an upscale vibe but the pricing was very reasonable with high quality ingredients and authentic taste. We ordered the Satay appetizer, lobster Pad Thai, Thai fried chicken set, coconut pudding to share. Every thing was super delicious. Above all, the service was phenomenal. The owner/cooks and the servers were one of the friendliest and attentive people I've ever encountered. This place was such a HUGE disappointment. The start was weird, after being seated we were asked if we were ready to order our food before we were even asked for a drink order (really strange). We were then informed that they don't give water to customers, they can only sell us bottled water? They also told us no refills on soft drinks and they are sold by can (what kind of "restaurant is this!) ? Based on my experience of eating at 1,000's of restaurants around the world, this is a very very bad sign of how the owner operates their business (GREEDY!!!). Nonetheless, the food came out quick, and it was all just subpar. Just for a pretext, I've been eating Thai/Indonesian/Malaysian food for over 25 years, and I have tried hundreds of restaurants all over the country specializing in these cuisines so I do know what to expect. The biggest shock was the $18 red curry(!), they threw in a bunch of frozen vegetables that should never belong in any Thai Curry. I was shocked to see carrots, cabbage, broccoli, etc in a red curry dish. A red curry on average anywhere else is between 8-12 dollars. After seeing the $75 bill for a simple red curry, simple fried rice, a simple noodle dish, and a couple of sodas I will never go back. At most the food should not have been more than $50. This place is a sham, the food is nothing special by any stretch of the imagination, and is highly overrated and overpriced. There are better Thai restaurants in the area that won't rip you off. read more

We order take out. The reason I gave it a 4 star is because the potion side is on the smaller side. I am a spicy food fanatic, but when they asked me how spicy I want my food from 1 to 5 and I opted for 3 I dod note expect to run for water. So, when I order next time I will make sure I let them know. We ordered curry salmon, orange duck, peanut chicken, spicy Thai wings, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious delicious fresh. Went here on a Saturday night without any reservations and was seated right away. The place is big and nicely decorated without being too over the top, definitely nice enough to celebrate special occasions. We started with the spring rolls and then got the chicken pad Thai and drunken noodles. The spring rolls were okay, they were kinda dry and a little burnt in my opinion. However the entrees were absolutely fantastic. Pad Thai was definitely one of the best I've had. The sauce was flavorful and coated the noodles perfectly, they weren't stingy with it at all. And the drunken noodles, also amazing, my boyfriend loved them. They were chewy and very flavorful, the spicyness kicking in at the end of every bite. Portions were huge so we took our leftovers to go. Service was also great, can't wait to go back when we are in the area again. read more

Stopped by this restaurant a week ago while visiting my in laws. They were extremely busy which I could not understand as the food was awful. Greasy and tasteless. The lemongrass chicken was not even close to what real lemongrass chicken should be - some odd tasteless chicken slices in a cream sauce with literally no seasoning and no lemongrass. Would not recommend unless you have never tasted Thai and enjoy greasy food with no flavor. read more

My family's favorite place to eat when we ski the Poconos. As good as any Thai food you can get in and around NYC. Loved the drunken noodles, red curry, ginger duck, soups. Three entrees are enough for four if you are eating family style. Desserts were also good. Watch out for spice levels 1-5: 5 is really hot, even for my son. read more

A very good Thai food place. Great for Poconos visitors and others in the area of course. The good: Great, tasty food. The pad Thai, noodles, shrimp curry, coconut Thai curry, Thai thani special fried rice, vegan soup, chicken, soup..we tried all. And all of them were awesome. The Thai thani special fried rice comes with cooked pineapple chunks and fresh pineapples as well. That was an unexpected great taste. Coffee was served well in a nice cup. I liked the coffee a lot. Chicken wings appetizers and vegetarian spring rolls are great too. Parking is available. The servers are pleasant and friendly. There's nothing bad about the place. We (my husband and myself- a heavily pregnant woman) arrived 90 mins before the posted closing time online and on the door. As we parked the open sign turned off. We were greeted and told the kitchen just closed down, despite the posted hours. No point demanding they stay open when there was no offer for any other option, an explanation or apology. Seems like a business that's giving up. I don't think I could ever talk myself into trying to go back, which is a shame because they have, or at least had, good food, I wouldn't really know anymore. My suggestion is take your money to Sarah's Street, they're consistently open, have great sushi and lots of other options. read more

Stopped her on our way through town for a weekend away. The food was really good! We got the basil fried rice and drunken noodles. Both were flavorful and large portions. The service was a little lacking and the inside was kinda oddly laid out and seemed a little too formal for the style of food. But otherwise a solid authentic Thai spot! read more

Very easy drive off highway 80. Large parking lot and welcoming staff. Restaurant is clean and traditional Thai decorated. Our first dish was traditional Tom Yum soup with chicken. Hot spicy and sour soup served with perfectly cut mushroom slices and big chunk of chicken. We could have been full but extremely glad we saved appetite for main courses. Our main dishes were timely served right after soup. Great looking Salmon and eggplant in green curry sauce and equally rich chicken immersed in red curry coconut sauce. Tasty sauce and fresh ingredients and very generous portion we have to take more than half back for dinner. Not complaining :) Overall 5 star and highly recommended for everyone who's in mood for a yummy traditional Thai food. read more

Went to this place with high hopes after reading all of the reviews. To be honest we couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. The restaurant was very dark and so we ate outside on the deck. The food was OK, nothing more than OK. They continually try to get us to buy drinks even though we had made the point that we just were there with the family and wanted water. This is a super cute Thai restaurant in Strousburg. When we rolled up their parking lot, they had music playing outside the restaurant which made it feel atmospheric. The whole place was decorated with Thai decor which had a nice warm feeling to it. The funny thing was, the firs time I was there I went at lunch, this time I went at dinner. I only then noticed the bar on the right, where they have a decent bar area and it's got a chill vibe to it at night, with flat screen TVs. I had their chicken green curry lunch special. It came with a rice noodle tofu soup, spiced with pepper and garlic, it had a zing to it that made my tummy hungry for my curry. The chicken green curry was good. It was the right portion, not too much, not too little. They had thinly sliced chicken, snow peas, red pepper, green pepper and eggplant. The green curry sauce was just right, served with the perfect scoop of steamed rice. My belly was definitely happy walking out of the restaurant, and all that costing me just under $10! The second time I went for dinner. It was definitely a little more pricey than lunch. An average dinner entree with chicken/ beef/ pork would be $13.95, if you are vegetarian it might be $1 or $2 off. It came with shrimp crackers/ chips in different colors. I grew up eating shrimp crackers, the ones I'm used to were a lot thicker, harder; Thai Thani's shrimp crackers were more thin and fresh, it came with some sort of sweet spicy thick red sauce, never had shrimp crackers with sauce either. Very interesting. I had their drunken noodle dish. It was flat noodles, fried with eggs, onion, red and green pepper, broccoli, chicken and really really fresh herbs (basil, and some other mysterious herb I think). The taste was phenomenal. Although it was a little on the greasy side, the herbs brought a spicy after kick to the dish. Thumps up! I had given this a 4 star the firs time I went, this second time I'm giving them a 5 star. read more

I'll start off with saying that if you've been to Thailand and you expect something to compare to that, well you might as well just buy yourself a ticket to Bangkok or Chiang Mai. If you have realistic expectations, given the fact that you are hours from any metropolitan area, this little Thai restaurant in the middle of nowhere delivers quite authentic notes of Thai cuisine. Not to say that everything is good because the pad see ew we had was closer to flavorless. Having said that, the fact that they offer larb in itself is quite interesting. We would have loved to see more lettuce leaves with the larb as it is sort of like Thai lettuce wraps but the taste was right on point though a little dry. The Som Tum (papaya salad) was near perfect with its sweet and spicy yet so refreshing mix of green papaya and all the spices (some tamarind, fish sauce, slight sugar, salt and definitely some pepper). The green curry had to be one of the best green curries I have had (and I'm including the New York metro area in that comparison). Prices are range from $10-15 for entrees. Appetizers are $7-10. This might be considered a little high for the middle of nowhere but for decent Thai food in the middle of nowhere, I think it's reasonable. Also, this is down the road from the Martz Trailways bus station at the Delaware Water Gap so it's a convenient location if you're picking up/dropping off someone there. For a Thai place in the middle of nowhere - it's pretty good. Set on top of a hill it's got outside seating with nice views for miles around. There's a huge bar on one side that looks like it's from the Disco days of the 70s. I know, I lived it. As for the food - portions are correct, not "American Supersized) although some may say small. We had the soft shelled crabs and Pad Thai with shrimps, both of which were excellent. Not as authentic as Bangkok street food, but the airfare would've cost 100 of these meals. We also ordered a chicken dish - Param Steamed, I think, which was not good at all, so stay away from that. Plus? Excellent Thai Iced Tea Ice and ice cold Singha beer. Nothing like washing your meal with the alcoholic beverage that comes from the same country. Or maybe it's just my imagination. Or maybe I'm just a drunk. read more

This is a great find in pocono area. It is definitely one of the best Thai place in pocono. The portion size is very large. The decor is very elegant with lots of mood lightning. There are outdoor seating available. Definitely a great place to bring a date. I ordered the Kar paw seafood with basil which has shrimp, scallop, & calamari. It is well prepared and taste delicious. My friend's Pad Thai was good but not the best I've eaten. The portion size enough to feed two people. I will definitely bring people here next time I am in Pocono. Thank you Yelp community for steering us in this direction for a delightful dinner on our way back to Western NY from NYC. Our starters were: Spring rolls. They were so good. Crunchy outside, veg inside was perfect. Not overcooked and oily like most places. The sauce on the side was sweet and tangy. We also had Thai spiced chicken wings. Being from Buffalo, I am very picky about how I like my wings. Without bringing this to their attention, I could have sworn the read my mind. Crunchy outside, moist and tender meat on the inside. The spicy Thai sauce was over the top. A hint of citrus (lime?) On the front and then a good kick off heat. They had a container of blue cheese (Ken's) which I didn't use because the sauce was so good. Mains: My wife ordered the Phuket Seafood which contained mussels, squid, jumbo shrimp, and scallops and some vegetables all bathed in a "to-die-for" roasted Thai chili broth. I could have sipped a cup of that instead of my Jasmine tea! I ordered the Panang rib-eye steak. Cooked mid-rare, smothered with a curry, coconut milk, peppercorn sauce. The steak bled out quite a bit and probably could have rested a bit more, but I'm not complaining. Streamed zucchini, broccoli and baby bok choi on the side added a necessary crunch to each bite. Yummy!! When we make the drive to the city again, you bet we will stop here. So many good looking items on the menu we'd like to try. read more
