Had a craving for Thai and this place did not disappoint. I have kept my eye on this place since the new owners and name was first being talked about and after seeing so many positive reviews I knew I needed to go sooner rather than later. There is a reason why so many others have also given this place a 5 star. I never went here before the new owners and new name but I'll be trying to return here frequently. We lucked out going at a non busy time on a Wednesday but the dining space is small so on a weekend or during the summer expect a possible wait. Every staff member was friendly and attentive and every bite made me want to go back and get more. I highly recommend the crab rangoons as an app and the duck noodle soup (any duck dish would likely be phenomenal though). I look forward to returning to try their cocktails, more apps and get the duck noodle soup again! Prices were very reasonable in my opinion as well. Add this place to your list of places to go immediately, you will be very happy. I look forward to coming back very soon. read more

AMAZING. The pho is absolutely fantastic, well spiced, a good portion, and a perfect ratio of noodles/broth/toppings. The tamarind duck lunch special is also amazing! The owner is so nice, patient, attentive, and had a long conversation with us while we were finishing our meal. The decor and the music was perfect as well!! I ordered the Pad Thai (NF) lunch portion for takeout. The pad Thai was AMAZING! Was made super fresh, the flavor is great a tab sweet but I enjoy it. The ginger salad was delicious (I'm usually not a fan of this salad) The order was done in less than 10mins Will be back! read more

We had to have an early night in due to my toddler having too big of a day in Portland. We door dashed our order and it was amazing! We received the order very quickly and everything was hot. We ordered a few different noodle dishes, the chicken stir fry, egg rolls, crab rangoons, and the chicken/shrimp dumplings. Oh man. It was delicious. If you like hot stuff, definitely get the chili paste. We were all sweating while eating but couldn't stop because the food was amazing! I'm a big Thai food lover, and Portland has an abundance of Thai restaurants. Thai Tree is a nice change from the regular locations with a variety of different things on the menu. The interior has been redone and is very comfortable and relaxing. When I entered, there were only 3 tables occupied. Within 30 minutes, every seat (38, I think!) was taken. I decided to try three new to me things. The menu said the fried spring rolls were gluten free...what?! I also ordered the Tood Mun and Nuer Tod (beef). All are listed as gluten free. I specifically told each person (several -3- waited on me?!) that I'm strictly GF, and cross contamination is an issue. I was assured a specific oil was used for gluten free only. I'm not sure which of the food I ate, that caused a problem, but it was either the Tood Mun or the fried spring rolls. Unfortunately, something *really* upset my stomach. Quickly. As delicious as the food was, the inviting atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, that's not a good thing, I threw up in the bathroom before I even got my check. I'd like to give it another try ... but six hours later, and my stomach is still tweaky. I'm not sure when I'll go back. BUT, if gluten isn't an issue for you, GO ... you'll love it! read more

Creative, cozy and comfy, this is a Thai restaurant we will return to again and again. The menu is more complex and authentic than most local Thai joints, and each dish was lovingly prepared. Well managed and full of interesting tastes. Definitely give this place a try. read more

Let me start by saying there are a lot of big hitters when it comes to Thai food in the Portland area. Thai Tree delivers! We tried the yellow curry, crab Rangoons, salad, Tod Mun, Guay Teaw Haang (no broth), fresh spring rolls with chicken, and Tom kha soup. ALL were delicious. Sometimes quality can suffer with takeout, but the food still was very fresh when it arrived. I ate all of the curry in one sitting! The sauces served with the spring rolls and Tod Mun were SO tasty. I highly recommend adding Thai Tree to your restaurant location. They will fit in nicely! read more

This place is amazing! Everything here is so fresh and tasty, atmosphere is wonderful, between the paintings on the walls and the cute little plates no details have been skipped over. Staff is amazing and work to make the experience as great as possible. My favorite appetizer would be the fresh springs rolls. So far, my favorite dish is the peanut cashew stir fry! Excellent food and service. We were long time fans of Pom's - their predecessor - and the great Thai food by the same cooks in the kitchen ha continue. We have been looking for our go-to Thai restaurant in the Portland area for a LONG while now and we finally found it!! Everything we ordered from Thai Tree was fantastic! Delicious crab rangoons, and we really enjoyed the scallion pancakes, crispy pad Thai, khao soi, and panang curry. Our new favorite place. Almost didn't want to write this review because don't want it to get too busy but also want them to do well! Also delivery was super quick. Definitely will be ordering from here again. read more

If I could put down zero, I would. My son is sensitive to their hot sauce. He ordered the regular sauce for takeout wings #30 dollars worth of wings, and they gave him the hot sauce. It wasn't a good experience. read more
