We are very luck to have discovered this place. We moved here three months ago and never been to this place at least 6 to 8×6. I actually stop in sometimes on my own for lunch because it is such a value. Food is quality. Everything is fresh. The service is fantastic. And the taste of the flavors are out of this world. My niece and I have been here on more than one occasion for lunch. The freshly made soup here is excellent literally the best soup I've had at an Asian restaurant in Florida bar non! Nothing special here. I've been twice, once for sashimi and once for Thai red curry. Sushi was ok, but the Thai was absolutely disgusting. Tom Ka soup was disgusting and smelled exactly like I'd imagine an old dirty sock to smell like and had a rank smell. We recently visited Thai Wasabi restaurant with friends after a 4 year hiatus. We could not wait to get back to this restaurant that we loved so much. For the sushi we have the futomaki, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and manatee roll. During the lunch time, this roll has 2 rolls for $11 special. The sushi is good. I like the futomaki and the manatee roll. The manatee roll is the tempura salmon roll. The drunken noodle has good stir fry technique to keep it completely dry. You have a choice of chicken, beef, squid, or shrimp. Each with different dollars up charge. The Garlic pepper squid come with rice. We have asking for Thai hot and it cook per our order. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Delicious, authentic Thai food. Lovely decor, and a very warm and welcoming and friendly staff. On top of everything else, this place is within walking distance of my apartment complex. I try to eat here at least once a week if I can help it. This is definitely a great lunch spot! The interior is brand new and even the bathrooms are super nice. We were shocked at how many people were there for lunch on a weekday. Getting in and out of here for lunch is very fast, and the staff is very happy to help. The Thai Iced Tea ($2) is huge, like a Big Gulp. You won't even need a side of water, it is great. They do have some great lunch specials; the most popular being their 2 full rolls for $10.00 sushi special. The rolls are really solid and fresh as well. I know, I was shocked for a Thai place to have sushi this tasty. It comes with your choice of two rolls, soup or salad, and their famous Eggroll. The eggroll is mostly ground meat inside, and is a little larger than a Spring roll, with the traditional crispy, bubbly egg roll wrapping. This thing is definitely addictive, especially with the sweet chili dipping sauce. Other lunch specials include your choice of meat with your choice of curry or stir fry sauce for around $8. That also comes with soup or salad and Eggroll. The Green Curry is rich in flavor and the vegetables are very fresh, my only complaints are: the portion of the curry/stir fry is smaller than most places for the same price, and they give it to you on a plate so the food runs all over the place. It would be nicer if they gave a slightly larger portion and put it in a bowl like other places. Thai Wasabi will definitely be a regular place for me and my work buddies. Ordered the massamun curry today for lunch. What happened Thai Wasabi? It had lots of onions and potatoes but only four, thin quarter-sized chicken pieces. My co workers ordered the pad thai and also had a scant amount of chicken. Is this the recession effect on quality. Such a shame. read more

This spot is actually rated the #1 Thai spot in the Tampa Bay Area strangely all the way in Bradenton. They give you a very generous portion. A nice little hidden gem. I love Thai food and the different curry dishes are my favorite. I stopped in at lunch time to pick up some carry out. The menu stated soup is only included with your meal if you dine-in. The server was nice enough to offer the soup in the restaurant as I waited for my order to be completed. I'm really happy he gave me this option because the coconut soup was excellent. The prices are reasonable with lunch specials starting at $8.50. They also have a sushi menu with a 2/$11 roll special during lunch hours. The egg roll included with lunch was actually a spring roll. I ordered the green curry and I had to use salt to enhance the flavor. This was not good since I never use salt for Thai food. The server was very nice and the restaurant was well kept. There was plenty of parking since the restaurant is in a plaza. My food was ready withing 10 minutes. I will try this restaurant again opting for a different menu selection of course. read more
