Hash Eggs Benedict w/ side of grilled veggies: I enjoyed partaking in homemade hash with chopped pastrami. There was a generous serving of hollandaise sauce. Unfortunately, two egg yolks were overcooked. I missed the runny egg yolk effect. Grilled veggies consisting of spinach were oily, onions and mushrooms tasted okay. Its a diner, nothing fancy, but it doesn't pretend to be anything else than what it is. Huge menu and you can have breakfast all day, so that's what we did. They have a build your own omelette and since there wasn't a plain cheese one on the menu that's what I did. Came with a side of potatoes and toast although you could have had a pancake or french toast instead. The eggs were not puffy and I think were cooked a bit much. Plenty of has browns and a nice thick slice of toast. My friend had a classic cheeseburger which he said was really tasty. Came with french fries and the portion was huge. Service was prompt and friendly and the beverages kept full. Cost was about $20 which is in keeping with most breakfasts. Would certainly go back again. read more

What a great, surprise find today?! We were in the area for a medical appt. so looked on google maps for a fun place to eat lunch, and viola, a great discovery in 'That One Place' in Port Orchard. Gotta be honest when we parked from outside the metallic tinsel flag window covering made me question if we wanted to eat here? But stepping inside to the vintage era Dinner decor I immediately felt like we would receive good ole home cooking. And that we did! Ordered food to go. The facility had plenty of seating and tucked into the corner of the strip mall. The service was quick and they were also pleasant. The food was ok, recommend pepper or your go to hot sauce as it was a bit bland. The potatoes were cook just needed seasoning. The biscuit & gravy was the best part. I ordered the CLassic Gyros and it was well made, stuffed with generous portions of lamb and beef. The seasoning was a little spicy (hot) including the tzatziki sauce for my taste but it had authentic flavor even if spicy. What I enjoyed most was the pita (plain). It was just the perfect thinness, still a tiny bit puffy in the best way. Soft, warm and pillowy. Just the right amount of chewy. Good flavor even though plain. I like plain the best. I also ordered the lemon cake - superb. It was moist and perfect lemon flavor without being overwhelming. Cut back on the heat spice in the meat and you have perfect gyros. read more

So we are visiting family that just moved to the area for the first time. Looking in my handy-dandy Yelp app, I came across this gem. It is that! So we walk into an eclectic and fun decor. We were there for breakfast and arrived just after it opened. The wait staff greeted and seated us. It was not that crowded on a Saturday morning. We got our coffee and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast with over-medium eggs and a fruit bowl. My wife got the hash breakfast. We both got a pancake (I always love tasting pancakes) The food came pretty fast (like I said, there were only a few other tables this early). The food was spot on. The plates were generous. It is Christmas time so the place was decorated. We had a relaxing morning. We got our fill for the day and the service was great. Our server came around to check on us frequently. First thing that is easily noticeable is the adorable theme and aesthetic. I love the fun 50's-60's restaurant/bakery/ice cream shoppe feel. The unique mugs were also a charming feature of their style. As for the food I'd say it's standard American fare, I do like that they have A LOT of options and that they have the ice cream/bakery side too. Came here on a not very busy weekend morning and overall had a not so great experience. We got an order of pancakes, an omelette, and the grits breakfast - took over an hour for our food to arrive and by the time it did half of it was cold like it had been sitting out a while. The omelette had virtually no flavor as did the grits, and the pancakes were so tough you literally needed a steak knife to cut through them. This restaurant is ok in general, but there are a few things that could be improved. I do feel the items themselves are a little pricier compared to some of their competition, but not by too much. The service was very slow and the waitress didn't come by that often. I feel like that could've been due to possibly being short staffed. It took a while to order and to cash out. Also, a pet peeve of mine is that you should never have to pay extra to use your card, so keep in mind you should bring cash if you don't want to be charged extra. For food, I ordered an eggs Benedict with hash, my wife ordered the cheese grits with bacon, and my daughter ordered the kids breakfast sampler with chocolate chips in the pancakes. I really liked the idea of an eggs Benedict over some hash. I think the hollandaise is probably store bought, because it definitely didn't have any lemon flavor at all, but was otherwise ok. The bites of the egg, hollandaise and hash all in one was very satisfying. The breakfast potatoes were definitely not fried enough. My wife thought her cheesy grits were unseasoned and rather mediocre. She did not like whatever cheesed was used, and that it wasn't cheesy enough. They put either chopped up bacon or bacon bits in the grits when she would've preferred two slices of bacon on the side. Not a dish she would order again. My daughter thought her sampler was ok, but that it was kinda small for a kids meal. The place itself is nostalgically decorated with the 1950s diner look with the license plates and decor. I also like the customer rewards program, where you can sign up and they'll take off 10% that very meal. Overall, we would come back and try other things on the menu. 100% Yes!!! The delightful and quaint diner spot is a must if you're ever in the Port Orchard/Manchester area! My family and I were staying at a beach rental a few miles away, and we decided to pay this spot a visit for brunch. We were not disappointed. The aesthetic is amazing. Classic Americana paraphernalia and it just feels like the ultimate old school diner. There are so many options on their menu with kid friendly options as well. I highly recommend any of their benedict dishes. They also offer a side of gravy so best to order that with your potato hash or crispy potatoes. Also, the staff were super friendly and attentive. Overall great dining experience. The ONLY thing that could probably improve, is a stronger brewed coffee. But I just prefer that. read more

I came for Mother's Day and it was my first experience here. We had reservations for 4 at 1:00pm, and we were never made aware of the mandatory buffet menu (at $40/person) beforehand. The food I had from the buffet was just okay, nothing spectacular and I'd much rather have ordered Eggs Benedict from their day-to-day menu. They had an omelette bar, and a hot case with cheesy hash browns, sausage and bacon, biscuits with sausage gravy, and scrambled eggs (parts of which were turning green from being heated/overcooked.) There was a huge table with a variety of desserts (I recognized Reese's PB Chocolate animal crackers from Costco), and essentially charcuterie board items (cheese, meats, breads, fruit). They also had two soups, chili, and mini tacos which all had meat, and potato/mac salad. Overall I was not impressed with the vegetarian options available at the buffet, especially considering the price tag. The staff was friendly but we had to flag someone down a couple times for coffee and refills. The ambiance is super casual and is decked out in car decor (we sat at a booth/table combo on the wall covered in license plates, right next to a waitress' station which made getting in/out on that side a bit more difficult). Also, the restaurant has two levels separated by 3 or 4 stairs and since the lower entrance door is closed/locked/unusable, there seemed to be no ADA access to the lower level (which was where all of the food was set out.) They did give out single carnation flowers to all the moms in the restaurant, and our table ended up with a really nice floral arrangement too that an employee came by and offered us (I didn't see any other table get a full bouquet.) If I'm ever in the area again I would try the Eggs Benedict from the regular menu just to see if the experience changes when it's not a holiday (EB is my go-to order for places like this, and I was pretty disappointed that it wasn't available at our last visit.) They also added an automatic $33 tip to our $170 order (4 buffets and one mimosa), and there was a credit card fee. read more

This is a very fun little place that I have really become to enjoy. If you are looking for healthy calorie conscious food this is not the right restaurant for you. If you are looking for good old fashioned American food and very generous portions then look no further. The burgers are amazing and worth the slightly inflated pricing. No matter what you order you will not leave hungry! The restaurant definitely has a conservative vibe and customer base. The restaurant also does not care about your vacation status. I was invited to TOP for lunch by a friend recently. As far as I can tell, the only way this place has improved over the last few years is that the service is better without the angry lunatic original owner or his wife around anymore. Our waitress did a good job and we agreed that she definitely deserved a good tip for her work. And that is the only reason that this isn't a 1 star review. The ambiance is still off-putting and weird. The food wasn't entirely inedible like it was a few years ago, but I've eaten better MRE's while camping in the middle of nowhere. The prices were hilariously overblown for the amount and quality of the gruel being served. I know the new owners got handed a lemon by the psycho who ran it into the ground, and they seem to be making an effort to improve it, but this is the second time I've been sorely disappointed. When people around Port Orchard tell me this is one of the best restaurants in town, I'm left wondering when they last ate here. read more

Been dining here for over 10 years now! A Port Orchard staple! I always order the sausage links for breakfast, they are soo good. The house style potatoes are a second favorite. And if I'm craving a waffle, they make good ones too! This isn't really a quick in-and-out type place, but no matter how busy the staff is, they're always so friendly & pleasant, our coffee cups are never empty! We usually pay about $50 for 2 plus tip for breakfast, which is pretty normal for a dining experience now. read more

So my bacon here was delicious but my biscuit and gravy was less then desirable. My biscuit tasted as if it was nuked and the corners were dry and hard while the middle was bendy. It looked like it was flaky and fluffy at one point in its life but not this one, waaaay too expensive for a half order and bacon not to be good. I don't mind helping a business and paying a bit more, but it better be worth the price and this definitely missed that mark. The fries with the BLT were soggy and bland not crispy at all, almost like they were either pulled too soon or they were sitting in a basket till the rest of the food was ready.
