The sushi was great, however we were told on arriving that the restaraunt was closing at 5:00 pm for a private party, so we would have to leave by then. It turned out that the venue had rented a fight and at 5 pm started charging a $10 cover charge for anyone who wanted to enter the venue. We arrived at 3:30 and were paying patrons. We would have definitely stayed and spent more money but were under the impression we had to leave. Why would you kick paying customers out to make a $10 cover, plus tell them misinformation about what was happening. That's not good customer service. read more

We had the most enjoyable dinner experience tonight! If you are coming for the Sushi, I highly recommend eating at the Sushi Bar. Love this place! The food is great...I've tried most of the food on the menu since I go so often and so far everything I've had is delicious! This is a great spot to get dinner and drinks on date night or to just go and watch the games. The service can be a bit slow at times but they are new and still ironing out some things as any new business does. I will definitely continue coming back to this place! read more

Food was great and decently priced for a Cali bar. It has a Buffalo Wild Wings feel without the sports bar theme being too much in your face. I love that theres traditional American bar food with your sushi cuisine thrown in there. Pool tables on the other side of the restaurant and they even have a nifty modern photo booth. I like it. Called the night before to check opening time and to see if they showed all the football games. I was told they open at 9am and would have the games, so we coordinate a 5 family group to head on over. We get there at 9:30 and they are closed! Yes even after calling the night before to verify AND every piece of info on the web says that they open at 9. There are 3 or 4 people in there and clearly see us standing there and never bothered coming to the door. I call them to ask them what's up and that's when I was informed that they don't get there until 9 and they can't open that early. Also that they will let management know that they can't open at 9. Long story short they aren't open when they say they are and their crappy attitude just lost a party of over 20 to the other place up the road to watch the game! My wife and I love this place. Servers are very average but the food is great. We had one experience where half of our party of 10 didn't get their food. We eat sushi often and we really enjoy the sushi here. If it wasn't for the mediocre service and the one very bad experience i would have gave it 5 stars. read more

The atmosphere was fantastic. My fiance and I had our date night here. We love the theme of this place. The food was delicious. However, the service was very very slow. We were sat right away. The waitress took a very long time to just introduced herself and get our drink order. She took so long we already knew what we wanted for our appetizer and to order for dinner. Just for the appetizers sliders and edamame it took 20 mins. She only came once after that to ask how we are. Another waiter brought us the two orders of sushi. The waitress never came back only glanced at us. She was focused on everyone else sadly. People who came well after us and order after us were served their food first, checked on, and even left before us. Once we finished our food we did everything we could to get the waitress attention. She glanced at us I raised my hand for her to come and she quickly turned her head and sped off. My fiance put her jacket on as an attempt to let her know we are ready to leave. She looked again and ignored us. We piled our dishes together and put them on the edge to see if she would take it as a sign to take them away. Still nothing. We gave up and asked another waitress who was passing by for our check. 20 minutes of this game just for the check. The manager came up to us to apologize and hand us our check. We stopped her before she walked away and asked if we had to wait for our waitress to charge our card or came we pay her but to please not walk away we don't want to wait any longer to leave. She walked us to the front to charge my card so we can leave. I've never spent so much time at a restaurant feeling like I was stuck there. My advice bring cash save yourself the hassle. First timers here and the ambiance was very welcoming. Wifey had the spicy crab roll I had sliders, brisket and pulled pork. The manager, Kenille, greeted us with a little history of the operation. Great restaurant if you are looking for a sports atmosphere in Visalia, CA. Plus get this, normal sports bars have burgers, sandwiches etc... This place has sushi!!! And awesome sushi!! The heart attack roll is my favorite roll! And we go to a bunch of sushi places in the same area. After dinner go to the back room, have some drinks and shoot some hoops! Lots of fun... We were looking for live entertainment during our stay in Visalia. On a Monday night, there was nothing available in the whole city. Out of desperation, we went to the Fifth quarter. Monday was Karaoke night. Lots of fun and delicious margaritas for $5.99. The waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She held our drinks and table while we played a game of pool for $1.50! I was really excited to try this place out, it seemed like a really cool concept! We were first asked to change tables because the one we sat at was dirty (the guy had a rag in his hand) but no big deal we moved. It took about 20 minutes before our drink order was taken, and then we ordered apps. They delivered them, and then tried delivering the same apps like 7 other times and we had to keep telling them they were delivering to the wrong table. At one time the waiter set down an app and then took it away when another waiter told him it was at the wrong table. We ordered another round of drinks and they brought the wrong drink and didn't notice it until I mentioned it. The wait time was horrible and we had a horrible experience which lead to no tip. I walk back in to get something off of the table and the entire staff are talking about the fact we left no tip in front of the other customers. First time there. I paid $30 for a reserved seat for a special fight night. I picked my seat, paid for it, and they wrote it down. When I arrived the next day, they counted seats from the opposite side and I lost my seat. I immediately brought this to a server's attention and he told me not to worry about it, even though he left the reserved names on my chair. I was not comfortable with that for obvious reasons: I did not want a confrontation with the people whose names were on the chair. Since the server (man) showed an obvious lack of interest in my perspective (rude), I immediately went to an in-charge person, Sandy, who is a good model for customer service, and she made sure my situation was taken care of, along with assuring me. Next, I asked the same (man) server for a sample of the salsa because I wanted some chips, but wanted to make sure the salsa was to my liking. He was rude, no doubt he was annoyed by my recommendations about the reservation seats and said he would get some while not even looking in my direction (rude, as in turning up his nose toward me). I finally got the sample and ordered the chips and salsa, with California rolls. Sometime later a person set a dish of chips and cheese next to me, in front of another person, alongside chicken wings. I was not sure if they were mine, because someone dropped these two dishes there without saying a word. Finally, after I asked about them, the blonde bar girl scooted the chips and cheese bowl toward me. I had California Rolls coming and I was concerned the chicken wings were a mistake, so I asked the blonde haired girl, whose they were. She responded, "Not yours!". I was a bit taken aback because I was just trying to be helpful, and her response was very rude. Then, I was a bit bothered by the fact she served me chips with no salsa. She expected that I had enough salsa leftover from the sample. It was not just that she was so rude, the cheese I asked for, served in a bowl, was as cheap and shitty as you would get a some fast food joint, the kind that pours from a spout: Pure Crap! When my California Rolls came, they did not even give me soy sauce. In order to avoid provoking more rudness, I chose to get up and find a bottle myself. Not one apology did I receive for the reservation problem, for any of the rudeness aimed at me. The blonde haired girl even showed incredulity (phony shock over not being able to understand my point of view). You want to tell me what other restaurant in California, serves chips without salsa?!! There are none! I did not receive salsa with my chips, nor did I receive soy sauce with my California rolls. When she brought me a dish of salsa, it was big enough to feed a family to make me look ridiculous, and if I wanted soy sauce, it was either wait and wait or go get it myself. Finally, I've read the other reviews on this post, and there is a load of complaints about the poor service and attitude. It seems that the owners don't give a damn what the public thinks about their service as long as the money comes in. They do not seem to care about how the costumers are treated. read more

I spent over $140 for my son's birthday and when I asked the waitress if they can do something for my son's birthday like an ice cream or something she said she would have to ask. The year before I spent my birthday there and was given a desert. He was not given any type of desert or acknowledgment of his birthday. I will no longer spend any birthdays there. read more
