I sometimes feel that The Alamo is overlooked and not often thought about. It's a quick and easy place to eat and usually isn't busy. Today I opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger just to try something different. I was asked if I wanted it dressed and I responded with a yes. Unfortunately, the burger came out with the produce on but all of the condiment packets were on the side. Maybe it's just me but this bothers me. If I say I want it dressed, go ahead and put the condiments on it for me. The burger tasted good and I was very pleased with the bun. I would call it a sweet sourdough (think Tophers and Mugshots). The fries, while nothing special, were also good. The service was what you would expect at a Mexican restaurant. The only real negative for this place is the ambiance. It almost feels unfinished on the inside because of the rough looking floor and the fountain that has very little water in the bottom. It appears work is being done in the adjoining dining room/bar area. If you haven't tried the Alamo, I would recommend giving them a try!

Steak fajitas, I choose not to order the rice so they doubled my beans. Soooo yummy and enough to bring home.

Food was absolutely delicious. Service was very good. Didn't take long at all to get our food, that was so mouth watering. I had the steak fajitas, the steak was so tender I hardly had to chew. It was flavorful, with lots of onions and peppers, with a heaping serving of dressings and beans that I had 2 servings of instead of rice (totally my choice). My husband had the chicken taco fajita grande, again the meat was very flavorful and juicy. The servings are very big and the price is definitely right. Can't wait to go again.

My, how you are. I feel like I'm back in Mexico.

This dive joint is known simply as "The Grill" and is located on the exact edge of the city limits of Laurel, MS. Even though they are called "The Grill" they are not a restaurant and don't regularly sell food but they do sometimes have food along with a nice BBQ grill on their back patio. It is getting harder to find a classic dive bars like this and there is one bad aspect many dives share and that is some of them still allow smoking so for non-smokers like myself it is a bit hard to breathe in here with the nasty cigarette funk. They also have a limited selection of drinks with most of their beers being in cans although they serve your ice cold beer in a Koozie. The great news is the prices are cheap and the bartenders and patrons are friendly. The best thing about this joint is the awesome juke box that has a fantastic selection of music. This is a serious pool bar and they have two pool tables with cue sticks around the walls with people's names on them along with warnings not to touch their cues. Overall this is a great dive bar that really has that authentic ambiance which takes decades to build up. Not many tourists ever find this joint and many locals don't even know about this great dive bar so it is a great spot to hide away and have some fun. Buffalo Wild Wings does have some nice deals where you can earn points for future purchases and they also have a military discount program along with offering free food for vets on Veteran's Day. I've never been a fan of chicken wings but the sliced up chicken tenders they serve here that they call boneless wings are actually pretty nice and their burgers are also quite tasty. They do fry things in tallow here which I'm a big fan of as it really adds more flavor along with being healthier for you. They also have weekly specials such as 2 for 1 along with all sorts of changing deals. So far I've only been to THREE locations of Buffalo Wild Wings with my very first being in Foley, AL, the second being in Hattiesburg, MS and the third being this location in Laurel, MS. Unfortunately, I have to say this location is definitely falling into third place so far based on my experience of the food and service. Everything is really slow here from putting your food order in to getting a beer. The other locations of this chain I've visited seem to do things SUPER fast... like nearly impossibly fast which leads me to guess that they already have a lot of food already cooked and ready to go. This location seems to rarely get as crowded as the locations in Foley and Hattiesburg so due to that observation I'm guessing they can't have as much food already cooked and ready to go as the far more busy locations I've visited. The continuing issue I've had at other Buffalo Wild Wings locations also exists here in that they only have mustard in packets and no mustard in a squeeze bottle which seems ridiculous in a place that is founded on having a gazillion versions of sauce! They really need to add a huge new selection of mustard sauce options such a spicy creole mustard, a tangy German mustard, French Dijon mustard etc. etc. There are so many versions of mustard across the world that it just seems negligent of BWW to not have more mustard and mustard sauce options. They literally serve pretzel knots at BWW which are begging for a German mustard! I've sent messages and emails to BFF corporate inquiring about the mustard issue but have never gotten a response...

It complemented the Redfish. The only thing that I would improve on would be the grits. They were a little dry. My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza and Ashley recommended the pepper jelly with it. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

I immediately went to my manager to let her know and she bursted out in LAUGHTER saying "this happens all the time matter of fact there's been maggots, roaches, snakes, fruit flies, and etc. in this kitchen." She did absolutely nothing about it except remove them from the machine. To me this was a slap in the face cause I had family and friends coming to this EXPENSIVE restaurant to eat and drink. It's also policy that employees were completely prohibited from bringing outside food so if we wanted to eat we were MADE to buy food from there unless you snuck your own food in. People are also blowing vape and weed pen smoke all over your food because they didn't care. I used to be made fun of by employees for changing out the table cleaning solution frequently because "it's not that big of a deal no one cares." Also if you know someone that works at Applebees and yall are enemies THEY WILL MESS WITH YOUR FOOD. A group of employees laughed and gossiped about how someone they didn't like came in so they told the cooks to over season their food and spit in it. It's been months since I've quit and driving by seeing a full parking lot of people eating contaminated food makes me sick. I'm not trying to cause drama or make them go out of business but I am not going to allow my friends and family to spend over $60 on a nasty meal.
