Walked in to pick up keys from the front desk of the hotel connected to the restaurant and was warmly greeted by smiling owner Joel and OG staff Alex. Kind of like the feeling of coming home. The place was packed -- just a testament to their very good food and excellent drinks -- there was even a couple sitting outside and they had a fire going. Wish I had taken that photo. It was a really beautiful moment. The place was decorated and felt very holiday festive with small bright lights reflecting off the tin ceiling. Excited to have a couple of days on holiday here. Stopped in to pick up their latest version of fudge because Christian the Baker keeps evolving the art of fudge making...and you don't want to miss an iteration. Using the owner's grandfather's recipe as the base, he makes some of the best fudge in Oregon. Tonight I was told he decided to explore a Mediterranean approach and added nutty sesame to the fudge. The sharp but soft chocolate is a perfect compliment to a delicious drink on a cold, cold night. While I was waiting for the fudge to be packaged to take back to the fireplace in my room, I spied their latest culinary endeavor sitting in jars on the counter... and actually started salivating. They are now serving Pickled eggs. Incredible. When was the last time you had a pickled egg? When done right, pickled eggs are among the most satisfying and clean bite of delicious ungrilled, ungreasy proteins in the world. And the lounge has decided to serve two different kinds, so we might've died and gone to heaven. If you love eggs of every kind, as I do, boiled eggs hold a special place because they are hearty and compact and completely whole. So when you add a spices and acid to that perfection...it emerges as "wow." The service was attentive and thoughtful always, and I was told they're open New Year's Eve until 9.

So there I was, thirsty, walking the streets of Cannon Beach waiting until 4 o'clock when this establishment opened. Yes, I reviewed the yelp reviews, decided that this was the best place to go to based on my Yelp friends and there I was, 4:10 PM on a Thursday. And I was glad to be in the moment at this location, sampling their fine products. They had four old-fashioned on the menu, what is an old-fashioned fan supposed to do? My wife and I did our best to sample and we were very happy with the the work they had done on these old is fashioneds. You've gotta know that they've got three pages of whiskeys and scotches and ryes to taste. It was imposing, and there was something for every taste bud and budget. It was an incredibly cool environment as well. They've got vinyl playing in the background and I was able to enjoy the let it be album by The Beatles and the album by Jimi Hendrix. Yes, for that hour and a half, always right in the world. I would not hesitate to go back to this establishment. Please note that I didn't even mention the brie cheese or the olives that we enjoyed. Yes, I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Absolutely WONDERFUL! The service was exceptional-so friendly and so helpful. The waiter gave us so many great ideas on how and where we should spend our day. We met the chef, and wow!!! He pours his soul into EVERYTHING he makes! Seriously! This is not just any pub food... While the menu is a little bit limited, the options are all very incredible. We also fell in love with the wine. The Pinot Noir and the Pinot Gris were out of this world sensational.! They also let dogs sit on their patio. They came and gave Beau a big bowl of water... Which he loved - and dipped his whole face into. We had the seafood stew, with all fresh fish, and it was absolutely light and delicious. The gentleman next to us got their burger... Which they claim is "the best burger in town". And after seeing him eat it, I believe it to be true. I was filled with envy that I didn't get one too. :) This bar has so much character inside... I saw the girl cutting fresh flowers to put in all the small tiny vases on the table tops. I thought that was a very sweet and thoughtful touch. Everything about this place is thoughtful... The food, the service, the ambience and the kindness. We absolutely loved everything about it and we will come back again. If you have to use the bathroom, you have to walk through the hundred-year-old Hotel that was a old boarding house for logger's. It has so much character. Go down the hallway and look at the American flag. Definitely put this place on your Cannon Beach list... You can thank us later, and tell them that we sent you! Absolutely excellent! Thank you, to the staff, for making our trip extra wonderful!

Loved the atmosphere and decor! Very cool and welcoming vibe.

Great little lounge right on the main road across the street from a public parking lot. It's in the same historical building a the Cannon Beach Hotel. Wonderful vibe, service, and selection of libations. They have an extraordinary selection of whiskey and bourbon. We tried the Japanese Whisky flight and found a new favorite! Also had some of the best Manhattans ever. They play music on a record player and have a fabulous selection of vinyl that really adds to the whole vibe of the place. Indoor and patio seating. Snacks, small plates, and a few entrees. They make their own in-house pickled eggs and have at least 5 types to choose from; we tried the soy sauce one. We also shared herbed almonds and marinated olives with our cocktails. They also have desserts; we shared a bundt cake that was outstanding. We wish we tried the entrees, but didn't have enough time. Highly recommend this place when you visit Cannon Beach!

Ambiance is snooty. I mean most people who like good whiskey or bourbon have a bit of that. We are a bit snobby when it comes to our beverages. BUT I felt like the particular server we had ALSO felt like I or my guy, weren't going to be good tippers or customers maybe because we looked a bit too casual... I know. We sure did. We also had been drinking already. And we drank more (we had a shuttle from our hotel,) and we were on vacation. And I needed to blow off A LOT of steam. I wanted to try new whiskey/bourbon. So I told the server I wanted a flight and that I usually grabbed a Pendleton or Buffalo Trace and I also love Basil Hayden. So I got a Knob Creek (which I know I like because I'd had that as well previously, but NOT the particular one he brought,) which was an aged 9 years. I had a Michters, which I'd never tried previously. And I had a Blanton's which I'd never tried but I had heard of. I tried the Knob Creek first and it was good. Smooth like always. Then the Michters. I didn't like it. To me the flavor wasn't as rich and it had that whiskey/bourbon BITE. But then the Blanton's oh my. It was delicious. Perfect. Smooth. Carmel-y just wonderful. So I got a drink of that after my flight. AND I had to also try the Old Fashioned on the menu. And it did NOT disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, which is a pet peeve if mine. I'd definitely come back here again because I like finding new favorites. And I like tasting whiskey and bourbon.

Very cool whiskey bar. I came here for dessert and got the highly rated toffee sticky cake and omg it was worth it! Very sweet though, I had to eat it in increments. Very cool vibe and connected to a hotel. Must try if you like whiskey! Service was great as I called and asked if I could order the dessert ahead of time and they had it ready when I arrived!

**whiskey and wine baby!** If you're looking for the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort, this upscale whiskey and cocktail bar nails it. It has that *special* vibe--polished, yet welcoming, and effortlessly cool. You know you're in for a good time the moment you step in, thanks to the 21-and-up policy, which creates an inviting, child-free zone where adults can actually unwind without distractions. The drink menu? A true stand-out. The whiskey selection is rich, diverse, and well-curated, offering everything from smooth classics to more experimental options. **ordered the old fashioned and it was mixed. I loved the cherry at the end. The food is no afterthought either. The pork tacos were flavorful, with just the right touch of spicy sauce. My only critique would be the pork could be tender and the tortillas could use a bit of toasting so they don't fall apart. The Dungeness smoked crab dip was rich and velvety, packed with a depth of flavor that was like a warm, comforting hug. It's clear the chef here knows how to elevate simple ingredients into something extraordinary. But the true showstopper? The sweet sticky toffee cake. It arrived at the table warm, with a perfect balance of sweetness and richness. The texture was flawless--soft, gooey, and oh-so-satisfying. It was the perfect end to an already stellar meal!!! My eyes closed with every bite. A hidden gem that effortlessly combines flavor, ambiance, and a grown-up atmosphere. Highly recommend! Other: -$$$$ -card/cash -seating inside and outside -5:00-5:30pm(Friday)no wait and choice of where we wanted to sit. -21yr+ only.

We didn't eat but had amazing cocktails. We took our drinks next door and sat in the lobby in front of the fireplace. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back

Cozy bar serving drinks and dinner. I love the old timey ambience and fireplace outside. We got the Sticky Toffee Cake to-go for a late night dessert and it's delicious. Rich but not overly sweet. The sponge was coffee-y cutting through the sweeter toffee sauce very well. Great portion for sharing too.

So good. A huge selection of drinks and friendly staff. I had a hot Jameson and it reminded me of Ireland. My husband enjoyed his whiskey sour and old fashion. We will be back.

    Dark cherry whiskey sour

We're visiting Cannon Beach for my boyfriend's birthday and stopped by the whiskey bar for some drinks. Patio area was great for a group around the fire pit. I ordered a whiskey sour but Gabe recommend the dark cherry whiskey sour (The Familiar) and it was 10/10. I even asked for the recipe but it's nothing I could ever recreate. Guess I have to come back next year!

The table wasn't wiped from previous glassware on the table but wasn't too bothersome. Napkins were already at the table so we could wipe it just fine. Despite it being in the heart of the tourism area, the vibe of the restaurant stayed classy for all guests. I saw employees of all kinds frequently greeting customers which made it feel all the more welcoming. The food itself beat my expectations. It was priced fairly for the quality we received. My husband and I came there for our anniversary and were very disappointed. Positives: Amazing view! Delicious cocktails, and great service. My salmon was cooked perfectly. Negatives: Quality of food. My cilantro rice was absolute mush. I am not sure how it left the kitchen. My husband's seafood boil was overcooked: crab was dry, almost everything overcooked even corn. For $65 for the bake expected better. The bread was dry and hard. I have loved this restaurant for awhile so it makes me sad to write this review. I paid for an expensive anniversary dinner and got a basic meal that was overall very poor quality. I am not sure if I will return.

Per recommendation of front desk at RiverTide Suites we tried this place out. Not disappointed,…read moreservice was friendly, good amount of seating indoors and out and partially out as we were. Outdoor has large tables with fireplaces which would be great for large groups. We started with the fast fried Calamari, which was a good amount with both rings and tentacles. The Cioppino was a bit pricey; however, was loaded with seafood and included some king crab which we had not seen at other places we have had the dish. The Seafood Pasta was rich and also loaded with seafood. Would certainly recommend if searching for seafood. Note: when we came at 6pm on a Monday we were told there was a 20min wait. No complaints but steer clear of the sweet potato fries if you prefer a crisp/crunchy fry.
