My 2nd time here on a short trip back to Wichita. Food is hit and fresh every time!!! I recommend this place all the time. My server was funny and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a bar so the ambiance can be high volume from time to time but you'll blend in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great service and food was yummy. I had the reuben and it was delicious! My husband had the wings and he enjoyed them.

So glad to have the Anchor back open. I have fantastic memories about this spot dating back to when Shane opened it many moons ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the new layout for the most part. I probably would've gone with a brick half wall down the center to stick with the historic look versus the diner style drywall half wall, but that's just me being picky[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The menu has lots of the old favorites. My buddy had the brat burger and he says it's worth fighting over. I tried the ad Astra fish and chips. There was a little issue with the doneness of my fish but the batter is kick ass and Shane made it all right. She's a rockstar The tap beer selection is still top-notch, one of the best in Wichita. I recommend them with five stars. Go enjoy a kick ass meal and the delicious drinks at one of the best local owned restaurants in town.

The Anchor is a vibe for sure. Very casual and relaxed. The soundtrack took me back in the best way. They have a full bar, although the beer menu was speaking to me the night I went. I tried a local saison from Hoppy Gnome - so good! (I'll try to get to their place next time I'm in Wichita.) My friends also tried several other beers and all seemed pleased. The real star for me was the Mac and cheese. Our server told me the pasta was handmade and you could tell how much love went into it. The sauce was cheesy and complemented with peppers and onions. Others got burgers and sandwiches- along with chips and dip. Everything looked tasty - and we were all members of the clean plate club.

I've been a few times in the past few years. This was the first time since they reopened. Week 6 soft opening to be exact (per their board haha). It was a Friday night and they were busy! Packed. We were told it'd be maybe 30-40 minutes. But several people had left their name/number and never answered so I think we only waited maybe 20 minutes. Started with their jalapeño caps. Always so good. Nice and spicy. Their tap list is HUGE now. I had the Bomb. It's a dark amazing sout. I could drink it all the time. Nice and sweet. My husband tried one he didn't care for and then another, I don't remember the name but I believe it was a stout by Boulevard. And it was delicious as well. I could easily hang out at their bar to have a few beers and an app. Their menu is a lot bigger than I remember. So many options. I ordered the Mac & cheese with buffalo chicken and blue cheese. Wow! Their pasta is made fresh. It was just perfect. And such a large serving. I was able to have leftovers! My husband got their burger that's basically a brat/sausage patty with cream cheese and roasted jalapeños. I of course had a few bites....its like a jalapeño popper burger. It was fantastic. Service was great and even though they were busy our server was attentive and fast. I can't wait to go back! Definitely going to be on my rotation.

Good soup, for starters. Hubby was very happy with his jalapeño "bottle caps." We were totally underwhelmed by the poutine, though -- it was lackluster at best. Friendly service. Men's room could use some spiffing up.

Whether you're stopping in for dinner or…read moremaybe just for a drink, Bricktown Brewery has plenty to choose from and delivers a great experience. There are easily 30 beers on tap/chilling in the fridge, ranging from local to national brands, with a great supporting wine and cocktail menu. The beer is cold and hits just right, plus it sets you up to order off that strong menu. From handheld to pizza, Bricktown has lots to choose from. I opted for the Rodeo Burger, a big burger topped with an onion ring, sliced jalapeños, bacon & BBQ sauce. Wowza! Fabulous burg, can't recommend enough. I washed it back with a Left Hand Nitro milk stout, which is maybe a touch heavy, but it's fall and it worked right. Alex, our server, was super quick and attentive; food came fresh and ready, clearly not off a warmer, and the turnaround time was superb! The place has some high ceilings, and with plenty of screens to pay attention to, it might get loud during a sportsball session. But there's plenty of seating, both in the dining area and at the bar, and the decor fits not only the theme but the space. Easy to park, seating is quick, they're open until at least 9:00 daily, and the seasonal specials are definitely worth a look when you stop in.

Our server was Lexi, and typically I judge the service by how long it takes the server to refill the water. My water cup never went empty, she was on top of it. Lexi also kept an excellent conversation, very knowledgeable of the history of the building, the starting of the restaurant and anything you needed to know on the menu. Absolute superstar! Time to order and food to table was minimal, food is delicious and the restaurant uses local suppliers where they can, so it supports local growers. The inside has a beautiful art deco vibe going and the lighting is dimmed so it sets the mood. The music isn't loud, so you have the subtle sounds of other people talking, and the hustle and bustle of the kitchen staff working. Overall one of my most enjoyable experiences for a first time here in Wichita. This is definitely a place I will be recommending to everyone, and be coming back to from now on.

Instead, they squash four people in one of those half booths with a tiny table. Service was subpar until a guy came by and noticed and started helping and taking over. The cheeseboard was not worth the money. I've had a lot better ones as Scotch and sirloin for same price or less. Told the waitress it was my daughter's birthday and she did not even say happy birthday. Lemonade refills should not be $1.50. Needs to have seasonal offerings or expand their menu. Gets boring after a while. Please make something that doesn't have garlic in it and also pay attention when your customer tells you that you do not want onions in your salad.

We had just enough time to grab a cocktail at the bar and enjoy the outside area while we waited. Cheers to the very busy bar team. We were waited on very quickly and our drinks is were well balanced and exactly the same. I ordered the Veggie sandwich with aioli dressing and broccoli salad side salad. I would highly recommend this dish if you want something filling but not overly heavy or hot. My friend ordered the sweet potatoes, her personal favorite, and raved about them. The service was great and the place had a relaxed vibe to it. On a personal note: it was really loud (for my taste) conversations had to be shouted to hear and it's hard to enjoy the great weather and outdoor space with the street noise so close ,the motorcycles that liked to crews by periodically to rev their engines several times during our dinner it made it less than enjoyable dining and for conversation. I love a good patio during nice weather but for me the noise level was so high it was hard to truly enjoy the dining experience as a whole. In general a great place to spend the eve in for dinner and drinks if you don't mind shouting and loud noise throughout your stay.
