After bringing this to the staff's attention, they kindly replaced the dish, but the new serving did not include bacon. Tj's isn't going to win any awards for health food anytime soon, nor would they really get one for originality. it's an old-school burger joint where most everything is going to revolve around a deep fryer and a griddle. They have 3 salads on the menu but I assume that's just a test to see if you'd really like to eat there, if you pick that I assume they'll kindly tell you to leave. Here's another thing they have daily specials where I got their chili cheese burger and fries for literally 5.99 on a Saturday. It was ridiculously cheap but also pretty doggone good. Again, they're not trying to reinvent the wheel here but their house chili was a decent add and served generously on top of a not quite steak/not quite smash burger patty but with a very large portion of crisp, well cooked fries. Add a glass of coke with free refills and it was cheaper and better quality than the Mickey D's across the street. Our server, Ashley was friendly and when my friend requested the chili for his chili burger come on the side she unperturbedly fulfilled the request. We happened to be randomly in this area for a quick get away. Decided to stop in based off the cute window appearance. Cute place - very disappointed to see menus were on every table - napkins and salt and pepper were on each table. We just left your restaurant, my husband paid almost 16.00 dollars for a mushroom Swiss burger and 2 sodas. We order 2 and potato skins. I ate almost 1 potato skin and it tasted funny. Well I know why . The potatoes were rotten. Molded. It made me sick. I did not eat my burger. I ask why we had to pay for anything? You do not serve rotten molded food. And have your customers wait over 40 minutes for it, when there is only 2 other people in your restaurant. Your servers were more worried about closing than there customers. I ask for ranch dressing from both servers and finally I had to get up and ask for it a third time. What a waste. If I get sick or food poisoning from this we are send you the bill. I came here on a date and it was one of the most wonderful experiences! The diner-style was well kept and charming. My waitress was so kind, funny, and helpful! But most importantl, the food was INCREDIBLE. This was the kind of food that made me insane with delight. The burger, with their special sauce, was FANTASTIC.
