Oliver absolutely enjoys coming to day care and is always so excited when we arrive. He knows he will be seeing all his friends. Where do I begin... From the suuuuper helpful, friendly staff (anyone think good customer service with a smile is very lacking these days??) to the facility itself, the verrrrry reasonable prices and great hours, it's been a godsend for this busy fur mama. I called them after seeing their website (after looking at and calling about a dozen places for my day care needs) and right away, I felt at ease and knew it was our day care. We have an 8 year old Frenchie and a 13 wk old Olde English Bulldogge we had just gotten and needed day cafe for her since I couldn't leave her at home yet due to not being potty trained yet. It would only be for a few hours that I needed help watching her since I wasn't about to leave her in her crate for 5 hours and Animal Keeper came to my rescue. Like most other places had said, the gal I spoke to on the phone said our puppy was still a little too young to put with the other dogs playing and in day care. I understood. Then she said since they weren't super swamped after the holidays, they could have it set up to a staff member would be with her one on one in her own room. Wow. I don't trust just anyone with my babies, never board them and have fired vets and groomers due to bad vibes and incompetence (). I leave my little girl with them, have peace of mind, go about my day and wow, I love that if she's there for 3 hours or less, it's half day price at $19. Most places I called didn't have half day prices or they were $30. I left my Frenchie and Olde English there one day and will do so again whenever my Frenchie gives me the ole guilt trip for leaving him home alone. I'm so glad I found this place! We brought our dog here a couple weeks ago. I thought I could let it go but I can't. Quality of groomers and customer service has gone way down. Have brought my dog in lots of times and had a good experience except the last 2 times with 2 different groomers. One cut my dogs ear and didn't inform us, and the other ear she got an infection in 2 days after grooming, vet said it was probably due to water and the way they pulled the hair out of her ear. We decided to try another groomer because we have had good cuts there before but she was horrible. My husband even showed her a picture for reference. Her head was barely trimmed and her body was shaved super short, very uneven. Some areas down to the skin other areas have tuffs of hair sticking out. She looks ridiculous. I called to let them know, was told a manager would be in touch and haven't heard from anyone. Very disappointed! read more

These guys are truly the best. We have 3 dogs in our crazy home and they are always happy to go there. There was a small incident with our Meeka but they took care of it right away and covered expenses with exception for cost of extra medical coverage. We were out of town during the incident, but we were so happy they took care of this for us. They have reasonable prices for shots and grooming and always keep our dogs up to date. The staff and managers here are very friendly and welcoming! My dog loves the staff and frequently stays for boarding while we are out of town. I also take notice in how clean their facility is in comparison to all the other pet daycares - this place is exceptionally clean. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a safe place for your pet and peace of mind. Oh, one last thing I forgot to mention, the grooming services are by far the best! I have taken my dog to be groomed at other places in the past but she never comes back feeling soft and smelling so clean with a silky coat like she does when she leaves the animal Keeper. It is always very nerve wracking to bring your pet to a new place. Fortunately, the people at the Animal Keeper love our dog, and our dog loves them. Every time I drop my dog off for day camp (he goes several times a week) or to stay overnight, he runs to greet whoever is at the front desk. They are always happy to see him, even though he is a lot of trouble sometimes. The fact that they are happy to see him and he is happy to be there makes me feel great about leaving him there. Lately they have started to offer different "packages" when you drop your pet off to stay the night. We usually get the sports package, which consists of the usual day camp plus peanut butter kongs, some fun photos, a toy to bring home, and a "report card" of how they did during the stay. We love getting the photos (some posted here), and of course, our dog loves the toys :) During one stay, our dog was stung by a bee. They immediately noticed that he was acting out of character, called the animal hospital, and carried him over. He was fine, and it was great to know how much they cared. She is always so welcoming, helpful, & I am truly grateful for her. I am also thankful that my dog was able to work with Garrett, one of the dog trainers. All I will say is, wow. He was so professional, loving towards our dog, extremely helpful, and knows what he is doing. I HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking for one on one dog training. Took my dog for the first time to this location, just bc it's closer to my house. I appreciated the warm welcome, nice staff and that they took care of my pup today when I was home sick. While it's a wonderful place, I'm not 100% sure is the right fit for us. The yards are smaller than I expected and I wasn't crazy about the fact that they get crated at 2pm. While my dog is fine being crated, I don't want to pay a daycare for a day of play and have her recharged by the time I get her. I have no doubt my dog (and many other dogs) need a break in the day, I just don't love that they go in at 2pm and she isn't running around again until I get her. Not sure that's the right fit for me. I also didn't love that don't have video cameras. I don't pretend that I watch my dog all day (nor do I want to), but I would like the option. Especially being her first day, I would have liked to have checked in on how it was going. While I will probably use this location if I am in a bind, it's probably not going to be my "go to" spot for our daycare. read more

Omg, I cannot say enough about this place! Everyone who works here are wonderful, very patient & kind. We have been bringing our 90lb dog Penni since she was a pup. He is now 3.5yrs old. She loves to go to Saturdays Camp. She has also been boarded a few times. We feel so comfortable knowing she is well taken care of & is safe. We have called to check on her & get up to the minute status on her. Penni is known by most the staff the minute she walks in the door. We love the welcoming we get when we arrive. I have been dropping off my dogs here for boarding, grooming, and playtime for the past 3 years and have always received stellar service, so I don't understand why some reviews have less than 4 stars. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell that they really love what they do. I was very nervous about dropping off my Shepherd mix for playtime because he is somewhat aggressive but when I visited one time, he was having a blast mingling with other dogs. Impressive! Their grooming service is excellent and I also like that the facility is clean, so that says a lot about the staff. I highly recommend this place! read more

We just moved to the area recently and I was afraid I wouldn't find a doggy day care place that we liked like our last one, but I was wrong! :) Our puppy loves this place, and so do we! We take our pup Porter to the day camp pretty much every week and he gets to play with dogs every day until 2pm! We usually end up picking him up around 5pm and he always comes home exhausted! I'm so grateful to have found the Animal Keeper for my young lab Rezzie! Before I was driving almost 20 mins to a different daycare because I was struggling to find some near our home in Carmel Mountain. Once I found the Animal Keeper and gave them a call they told me I could bring him that same day and Rezzie loved it!! We started bringing him to camp 2-4x a week up until the cut off age not being fixed yet. We've even used the boarding service for a night on a staycation we had and I was amazed at the different things you could add to make his stay more comfortable. Once Rezzie is healed from his surgery we plan to bring him back weekly because he loves the staff and all his friends there! I couldn't recommend them more, they really love your pets like their own. read more

What a great experience we've had with the training program at the Poway location! We left our fur baby for 20 days in their boarding and training camp. Garrett was so attentive to our training concerns for what we considered the top 5 to 8 training needs. He and the office staff were always available by phone for updates. We picked her up today and met with Garrett, her trainer for the exit interview!! We were so excited to see the discipline that he has helped her achieve. He taught her how to listen when walking with me and my husband; he reinforced appropriate behavior patterns and how to respond to various commands that we were having trouble enforcing. When she arrived at the facility, the staff were very attentive and loving towards her. She easily and eagerly followed their instructions.during the intake process. We unknowingly was over feeding and rewarding her with special high calorie treats at home. Garrett suggested that we discuss her dietary concerns with her doctor and ensure that the proper nutritional needs were met. She was returned to us as an energetic, lively & more disciplined puppy less the excess weight that she was carrying around. We can see that she met new friends, played and enjoyed her stay. The office staff obviously treated her well and she came home happy, content and exhausted along with an encouraging report card! We see that she needs more interaction with other dogs and we will definitely look into day care a couple days per week at this facility. read more
