"Corporate" make the tough decisions and they lack all ethics--only care about profit and reducing their risk as a company to zero. And if your loved one ever suffers an injury that is typical for the eldery population, they will make all sort of random excuses and kick them out immediately. Trust us, it happened to us and others. It is a sad state of affairs there. Don't let the nice physical looks of the common areas and charming sales person and Exec Dir fool you. It is not what it seems. Save yourself the trouble and don't find out after it's too late.

The original team was compassionate, attentive, and deeply connected to both the residents and their families. The Executive Director, the Wellness Nurse, and the aides knew every resident by name and made a point to build real relationships with families. We were always kept informed, and it was clear they genuinely cared. Unfortunately, everything changed when new management took over about a year ago. Most of the staff who had built trust with residents and families either quit or were forced out. We lost incredible caregivers--they were dedication and whose compassion were unmatched. Their departure felt like losing the heart and soul of the community. The new management company hosted a meeting to introduce planned changes--things like tablecloths and flowers in the dining room. Families immediately advised against these cosmetic changes, as they had been tried before and didn't work well in a memory care environment. Sadly, management ignored that feedback and seemed more concerned with appearances than with actual resident care. Even worse, staffing was reduced to the bare legal minimum. Many residents--including my parent--required two aides for help with morning and evening care. But there were often not enough staff available. My parent was sometimes put to bed in the same clothes they wore all day, or not helped to bed until after 10 p.m. Then came a truly disturbing incident: one resident was locked in her room--a clear violation of the law--and was later found with multiple bruises. The state launched an investigation. As a result, three aides, the Executive Director, and the Wellness Director are no longer employed. In just one year, the facility has gone through three Executive Directors, two Wellness Directors, and a Memory Care Director. This is no longer the safe, compassionate environment it once was. What we are witnessing is not just a decline in care--it is a complete breakdown in leadership and responsibility. I urge any family considering Long Leaf Bee Cave to ask hard questions, stay actively involved, and advocate fiercely for your loved ones. The trust we once had has been shattered.

One was busy on her phone and didn't bother to put my mom to bed so my mom fell asleep on her recliner. I tried to talk to the person assigned to me for staffing and she didn't answer texts/calls. I cancelled with her because the people that they were sending were so bad, that it was better to have no one. I got no answer till after the weekend and I was told that I needed to give more notice. I explained that I tried to give notice, but that person wasn't answering their phone. They sent one last person out that they claimed was their best and no one had every complained. After that person got my mom to sleep, she turned tv to the station she wanted (in room next to my mom) and then started calling friends on the phone and talking loudly over the tv.
