I had an amazing experience today at H2D motors. It's was around 6:30pm when a loud clicking noise began coming from my back wheel area. My car is older so I was worried it was something big. I called H2D and I was able to bring it in right then and they stayed late to look at it right away. Turns out the wheel just needed to be taken off and the area cleaned. They did this at no charge! On top of this Dayan was a pleasure to speak to and it's a family run business. 10/10 experience. read more

Finding Dayan and his team turned out to be one of the best things to happen to my car. Integrity is the word that keeps coming to mind. Same sentiment as the other one star review, Dayan and the mechanic are nice people but the work is so shoddy at this shop. I took my car to H2DMOTORS for front-end collision repairs after hitting a curb and fire hydrant. Was told the car was "fully safe and ready to drive" (Attached email). It even started leaking gas after filling up gas after the repair (attached video). They brought the car back and charged me again for this since it was outside the original scope of work... (I still paid). They somehow managed to trigger a CEL light and disconnected the e-brake while doing this job as well. Other problems include: Transmission mount cracked in the accident and left hanging by only 1 screw. (Discovered only after brought car back to replace the gas tank) Rear control arms were never replaced even though they failed VSSI and the alignment report said they needed replacement. Check engine light came on with codes 118002 and CDA524 right after the fuel tank repair. E-brake was not properly reconnected after the tank work and keeps failing. Steering wheel still not straight after two alignments. Plastic cover hanging out from under the car. When I asked them to fix these issues under the 90-day warranty, they denied responsibility and tried to charge me for it being outside their scope of work. The car was returned in an unsafe condition with multiple problems directly tied to the accident repair they were paid to do. Very disappointed with the quality and customer service.   From the photos you can see how he even tries to cleverly word that he completed everything in the original invoice. Of course he did but he didn't diagnose the cracked fuel tank/ transmission mount/ rear control arms ( he only replaced the front passenger control arm) but if you bring in a car after an accident, you would expect the shop to diagnose everything broken related to the accident... he even said the car was safe to drive after the FIRST repair. (Which should have been the only one). I attached a photo of the cleverly worded email he sent saying he will inspect the car for stuff related to the original invoice as well as the email saying that car was safe to drive after the first repair. Also photo of car leaking gas after the first repair. Sorry for the long block of text but I had to warn someone. If you come here you will get shoddy work done to your car. read more

Friendly service can't make up for dangerous, poor-quality work. I chose H2D Motors because of their high ratings, but it was a costly mistake. I paid over $3,000 for power steering repairs and new axles, only to have the car returned to me leaking fluid and making a loud clicking noise. Despite taking the car back twice, I was dismissed both times and told nothing was wrong. As someone who is mechanically inclined, I knew adding half a quart of fluid every 200 miles was not "normal." I eventually sought a second opinion from another mechanic who was shocked by the craftsmanship. He noted that parts of the system looked like they had been hit with a sledgehammer. I had to replace the entire steering rack and pump--parts H2D had supposedly just serviced less than two months prior. While Dayan was friendly and a great communicator, it doesn't change the fact that the actual mechanical work was substandard and the follow-up support was nonexistent. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I recently moved to Huntington Beach and, being new to the area, I was concerned when my check engine light turned on. I needed to find an affordable auto shop with knowledgeable staff that wouldn't take advantage of the situation. Fortunately, I discovered H2D Motors, conveniently located nearby. Since I needed my car to be towed there, it was a relief to find a shop so close. I called H2D Motors and spoke with a polite individual who informed me that they could see my car on the same day. I arranged to have my car towed to their shop so they could assess the issue. Upon my arrival, they provided a timeframe of about an hour and a half for when I could return. Before starting any work on my car, they explained the problems that required immediate attention, as well as issues that could wait. As a single mother, I appreciated this honesty. I ended up having the coils for my spark plugs fixed, and the entire process took less than three hours. The staff did an excellent job. The owner was courteous and engaged in pleasant conversation. Had a great experience with Dayan. I needed my serpentine belt and spark plugs replaced on my 2017 Corolla and he made the whole process super easy. He was very responsive on the Yelp chat, replied quickly, and gave me a price that was literally more than half of what the Toyota dealership quoted me, and less than any of the other mechanics I contacted on Yelp. He didn't try to upsell me on anything, like the dealership typically does. His mechanics got the job done in less than an hour, which is a lot faster than what I expected and probably much faster than the dealership too. Fairly priced with professional communication, they are to go to spot for your automotive needs. As someone who doesn't know much about cars and has gotten up-charged for that reason, this place did not give me that feeling. I got worried when I started hearing strange noises on my car, it was a big relief when I got an estimate on what might be the problem and was able to get my car checked out the next day. The owner was able to explain what my car needed, broke down the cost, and tell me what things need work later on. I needed an axel and rear break pads replaced and was able to get a good deal they had plus a first time discount too. I waited like two hours for everything and just went to eat nearby.
