I visited Johnny's on A Sunday after church and the place was packed but I didn't have to wait for a seat. The entire staff was warm, lovely, inviting and very attentive desire the crowd. They made sure my coffee was topped off at frequent intervals and always served me with a genuine smile. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, everything cooked to perfection. But what really warmed my heart was watching the staff interact WITH EACH OTHER. You could really feel a sense of family among them, and that in itself was infectious! We met friends of ours at Johnny's Diner at 9 am Sunday morning. Of course we understand breakfast places will be busy on weekends, and it was, but we luckily didn't have a wait for a table for our party of 5, which was a pleasant surprise. Johnny's is a classic, somewhat nostalgic for me, diner experience, the servers were attentive and the coffee was nice and strong but smooth. This reminds me a lot of the Greek diners I went to all the time while growing up in Western New York. Our food came out fast, and everything was good. I got the biscuits and gravy and hash browns. the biscuits and gravy was comforting and the hash browns were actually my favorite thing, they were nice and crispy. My husband got the Greek omelette and hash browns and was happy with his meal as well. As mentioned before the staff was attentive and very nice. Coffee and drinks were being refilled before you noticed you needed it. I think they handle the weekend crowd very well. By the time we were leaving there were people waiting for tables, but it was a very large party so that's to be expected. Just be prepared for that if you come at peak hours. The restaurant itself was homey and gave that classic diner feel. Everything was lived-in, in a cozy way, but clean. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were just right. It's a great little greasy spoon diner. I think my favorite part is that every server is helping every table. So our coffee was never empty and there was always someone checking on us. Went on a Sunday morning after church there was four of us. They did have open seating, which was quite easy for us to eat. Our waitresses was extremely intentive, making sure our coffee was full, and our drinks was good. They made sure our food came out expeditiously. We had a lot of people so we have a few different meals. I personally had the Gyro dinner and it was delicious. The meat was well cooked. It wasn't dry and crusty. Orlando~ Cute little mom & pop diner. Filled with moms & pops! Food was good but not outstanding. We both had the same entrée so it is a little bit harder to review properly. We had the chicken salad. The pita bread that came with the salad was hard as a rock, but other than that, the flavor of the salad was good. This place reminds me of good old-fashioned cooking with down home entrées! Service was good. From the outside looking in, this seems like every other stereotypical diner... A line outside the door. Breakfast served all day. Fresh, hot, coffee refills before your cup is even empty, and a specials board outside. Nothing was great, but everything was decent. Eggs were cooked exactly as ordered, special orders were perfectly satisfied, and we all left full. Johnny's is a serviceable diner option in Casselberry. No reservations so be prepared to wait during breakfast and brunch hours on weekends. There's also not a great seating option for large families. We squeezed 6 into one of the larger booths but it was cozy tight. The servers were friendly and those drinking coffee were never left with an empty cup or a hot refresher. The food was average diner food fast, tasty, well priced, but not special. Because it was busy it wasn't a great place to just chill and chat because we felt guilty with the line waiting. But we had a filling and well priced meal and went elsewhere to hang out! This is Johnnys second location from the first initial one on 436 and University. The newer location is on Universityy and Dean. This one is on 436 in Casselberry across from Pet Bazzar. Can't say nothing but higher phrase about this establishment. Plenty of seating during normal hours during the week. You'll definitely have to wait your turn during the weekends. Parking is plentiful. I usually stick with what I like. Farmers Omlette, grits, whole wheat toast and ham slices. Service is pretty quick depending on how many people are inside. read more

Picked a booth among a half dozen open booths, and a very pleasant gal took our order And then we sat. And sat. And sat. And sat. Odd that a half-empty after-lunch-rush place took so long to be served a simple breakfast plate of eggs and bacon and a BLT and sausage gravy & biscuit. Everything was good, especially the sausage gravy & biscuit. One of the best we've found in quite awhile. Would we go back? Yes, and leave plenty of extra time for the slow delivery of your order. On 6/25 we took my parents to Johnny's Diner for breakfast. We seated ourselves as that is the custom here and were greeted by a friendly server who knew my folks. We placed our orders and within 15 minutes our food was on the table. I really enjoyed my hash browns with cheese and onions added with a side of crispy bacon immensely. Perfect little diner. I went to this restaurant when they were located in winter park. I was happy to find them again in casselberry! It's a bigger location but still that family owned diner feel that you want. The food is always good and exactly what you would expect. Nothing fancy, just a nice meal for a family or friend outing. Love love love Johnny's' I've been coming to Johnny's since their old Location by winter park high school. My go to is the country fried steak with over medium eggs, hash browns and English muffin with coffee. Johnny's will always be a monthly go to for me. I come here with my family or my friends for our monthly meet up. Service is wonderful , I've never had a bad experience in 18 years! The new location is very nice, decor is modern. Hanging out with my best friend and we made plans to visit her after seeing all the cars during the weekend. Walked in and were told to seat ourselves. It was busy, so we went with the high top chairs near the front. Our server came by, and we each went with a sweet tea that lived up to the name, I should have gotten some additional water to dilute it down ($3). After a minute of searching the menu, I went with the biscuits and gravy ($8) with four slices of bacon ($4.5) because i eat eggs on the daily and did not want it today. My bestie went with the plain pancakes, comes with three 5-inch ones on the plate ($8) and a side of sausage links, three in the order ($4.5). The food came out pretty quick, and while the gravy could have used larger and tastier pieces of sausage, it was decent. The bacon pieces were good. Our server was good, though rushed, but they were moving people through. The noise level was not too bad considering the number of people and children all around. When it comes to diners, everyone loves them, but lately a lot of them aren't great, or the quality is bad. Not this place. Put Denny's in your rear view mirror because no one can top this place. The best diner I've found in a long time. Extremely clean, really delicious food, and the prices can't be beat. To be able to go to a diner a few times a week without breaking the bank is just like old times. The ham in my omelette was amazing, coffee has low acidity, sodas are fizzy and fresh, everything is great. And super fast too. My new regular spot. I love you Johnny's. The food was very decent, especially for the price that you pay! I can't remember the last time I had a sit down meal for less than $12 (before tip). I can safely assume that anything on the menu would more than satisfy your taste buds. The service was a little slow but that didn't hinder my experience. I was also expecting that would be the case just by looking around and taking in the surroundings. An old fashioned diner is an always a pleasure to sit around and soak in. We used to go to Johnny's over by full sail and I'm glad they reopened once that plaza closed! Johnny's has "regular" food for breakfast which is my dad's favorite. Excited to have another breakfast and diner option in Casselberry! Their system for people waiting to be seated could be worked on but they've only been open for 2 weeks do so it's to be expected. Everyone was friendly and refills on coffee and soft drinks were abundant. Food took a little bit longer than I expected, but still it's only been 2 weeks since opening.
