Clubhouse sandwich and Fries.
Joe F.

Overall not a bad place. Good beer and food. Had the clubhouse sandwich which was good. Server could have been a little more friendly. It wasn't crowded, but was filling up for bingo before we left. I'd go back again.

Great little spot. I really liked the crisp on the tofu on the street noodles, I wish the sauce was a little thinner. The pickle fries where thin which I really enjoyed. Normal good service. Chill and nice.

Cool interior, but service was INCREDIBLY SLOW. Noon on a Saturday and only a handful of people inside and we waited 35 min for fried pickles and two sandwiches. Fried pickles were good, and Jailbird Phillies were tasty. There were several employees walking around and only one female serving.

I had the best bartender I had to take a picture because I thought she was so cute. I came and got a quesadilla which was delicious, but I ended up staying an extra hour to chat with this lovely lady. I honestly had a crappy day but she made it 10 times better. I will definitely be back, I had phenomenal service and the vibe was great.

Great experience at backyard today! Excellent fresh sheet with great new options. Staff was friendly and personable! Waitress/bartender Ashley was especially accommodating with allergy restrictions. Waitress Corrina was beyond courteous and went above and beyond.

Whoa! Best burger I've had in a while. Fun atmosphere and friendly bartender- you can't be sad around Kevin. Love this place.

Stopped in for a burger and Bloody Mary. It was early and quiet on a Monday night. We were served promptly and burger was on special. It was a decent burger and we enjoyed our dinner. No frills good food.

All of the food I've had here has been great. Get the burger, tacos or quesadilla and you won't be disappointed. Love it!

Ask the Community - The Backyard Public House

I was wondering if this place is more suitable for families with children, or if it's more of a bar-type atmosphere? Thanks!?

Is the patio dog friendly?

Yes it is. See you soon!

Do you have MSG in your food? Spices? My husband is highly allergic to MSG.? Thank you for your honesty. I'm sorry , we won't be eating there. Lea?

Some of our items do have msg and are cooked/prepared on the same surfaces as our entire menu.

Can I bring my kids for dinner? No worries date night with hubby :)

No. Sorry. We are a 21+ establishment. We are on Uber eats and have a bunch of regulars get out food to go if that interests you?

Can under 21 dine here?

No, only 21 and up allowed in this establishment.

I was recommended to try this place by a co-worker and decided to order two of their sandwiches…read morewhich was talked up by several reviews here on Yelp. I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

Food: 4.4 Service: 4.7…read more Let me start by apologizing for this late review because this restaurant is well deserving of it! Volleyball tournament at Eastern U but decided to stay in Spokane @The Louie (check out that review too) for the weekend AND IT'S RESTAURANT WEEK, YAY US!!! Note: this may not be a long review because I put off writing this review. In short food and service is spot on. GO AND TRY! Make sure you go during happy hour so you can try a bunch of food and if you're not full yet order dinner, LOL We walk in on a Friday night not knowing restaurant week was happening and decided to walk over early since we're meeting up with friends...so happy hour just started too! Now we got SPOILED because we're looking at three different menus: happy hour, restaurant week and their everyday menu. Each had something we wanted to try so let the ordering / food fest begin! Street corn ribs, Brussels chip = super light, pokè tostada, steelhead chowder (not pictured), halibut, sea bass...many cocktails since we walked and dessert. We had dinner with friends so there was much more food on the table than in the review. And if you get to the bottom of this review and don't try Steelhead Bar & Grille when in Spokane, it'll be your loss!

We went to Cascadia Public House on a Sunday with pretty high expectations after reading so many…read moregood reviews, but unfortunately it was a letdown from start to finish. The biggest issue right away was how long the food took. It felt like we were waiting forever, and by the time it finally came out, it definitely didn't feel worth it. We started with the pretzel, which honestly was nothing like a pretzel. It tasted more like glorified fried dough and didn't have that classic pretzel texture or flavor at all. For drinks, mine was way too strong and just didn't taste good. It wasn't balanced at all and ended up being hard to even enjoy. For my main, I ordered the Cascadia burger medium, but it came out clearly well done and overcooked. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, the food took way too long, the quality didn't match the price, and the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
