He was thoroughly satisfied with ALL the different options. His 2FER included 2 desserts and he was nice enough to share with me; one rice pudding and one apple cobbler. I've been here more times than I can count. This place used to be my family's go to restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner but the service and food quality has gone down dramatically. They have a few rude servers there that ruin the experience, and if you ask to sit in a different section than those servers they say no because of "rotation". The older servers seem to have gotten comfortable and are no longer nice and attentive. Id rather be served by the new young people they have in there any day, they are always so nice and do a great job. read more

Perfectly fine diner food. I can't recommend it because of how the owner and one server treated us as a family with children. Initially the (very nice) hostess seated us at two tables but just before we were served the owner insisted we cram into one without enough seats. I had to beg a chair from a neighboring table and box up my food to eat in the car since there was no where to put it. The server & owner acted like we were doing something wrong by being a party of five in a restaurant that primarily had tables for four. My husband and I have been ordering the same things here for years and the past 3 times we noticed the quality has drastically gone downhill each time. The Seafood Alfredo used to come with whole pieces of scallops, shrimp & crabmeat but now they only put in shrimp and supposedly finely chopped up pieces of scallops that I could not see or taste. When I called all they did was apologize and that's it. The crab cakes used to be delicious and made with lots of crab meat, now we can't even tell if there's crab in them. The side salads that came with the meals were the only things we enjoyed. They were fresh and crisp. When you order togo they now put everything in cardboard containers which is better for the environment but they put less food in them. Prices are the same but the food is definitely made cheaper now. There has also been something wrong or missing from our last 3 orders. It's a shame because we loved their food and raved to our friends about it but unfortunately we are no longer happy with the quality of the food & have to find a new favorite diner. read more

There's nothing better than a hearty breakfast. My son and I were in the area having come from Jersey to locate a rare bird reported in the area. The bird wasn't there so we went to find some breakfast. Glad we found this spot. My son had a cheesesteak omelette. I had corned beef hash and scrambled eggs. Delicious. Great coffee and good service. We were very satisfied. Walking out, we encountered an elderly woman in the vestibule. She was winded from the heat. I'd recommend the pot roast for sure. I ordered it expecting to take a bunch home because I wasn't that hungry, but wound up eating all of it. It's served with a steak knife which was entirely unnecessary; the meat falls apart when it's merely nudged by a fork (hint: that's a good thing). Too bad I wasn't still hungry for pumpkin pie because that seemed really good from what I tasted from a friend. Went there last night, horrible service, they were more concerned with mopping the floors instead of serving their customers. Mashed potatoes were old and tasted funny, corn was some cheap bargain store brand, the food is not inexpensive here and used to be pretty good. And to top it off they charge you a surcharge if you use a credit card to pay and don't even tell you in advance! Nice diner type restaurant across from the Shell station. Opens at 7am (Covid hours) and they are ready with hot coffee and cold water as they take your order. I am from the Midwest and visiting Nazareth but nothing was open at 6:30 am so I went here. Just 15 minutes. It was just like home. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was great. I was so hungry and nothing like a stick to your ribs breakfast when hungry and about to put in some work later on. Gravy was thick and peppery (I also added a healthy dose). I asked for an extra egg which was needed from the size of the steak and portion of potatoes. Truly enjoyable with nice staff patrolling and refilling my cup as needed. Great value for the quality and portions of the food. Food came out hot and quickly. Seems like a town hangout which adds to the charm. We ate at this restaurant today and upon paying the bill, my husband asked if they offer a Veteran's discount or a Senior Citizen discount. The cashier (whom I am assuming was the owner because of his response) was, "Unfortunately, we do not. If we did I'd be out of business". REALLY ? My response was to him, "Not for the price of $2.99 for a SMALL piece of cake". And I do mean SMALL ! AND, $2.69 for a small dish of pudding ?? OH MY GOODNESS !! I guess the "almighty dollar" of a measly 10% discount which would have amounted to about $2.60 would break them. But I do admit the food we had was very good and they do have a good business !! It's just a shame that they can't acknowledge a Veteran and/or Senior Citizen ! So, should you happen to dine there, don't waste your time asking for a discount of any kind because it doesn't exist at this restaurant. Stopped in with a friend for dinner. We went for their "Two for Twenty" deal. I eat at this restaurant fairly often, and I have frequently taken advantage of this deal. Each person gets soup or salad, an entrée off of a decent size list, and a dessert. It is a good deal. First, the Good: The server, Debbie, was friendly, efficient, and quite attentive without being overbearing. Well above average. I had Chicken Bruschetta and a salad. I have had this before. The salad was decent, with a mix of greens, and was a reasonable size. The chicken was good. It was well cooked on a grill, not a flat-top, so no "off" flavors from the last thing that was cooking. Portion size was large enough that I took half home. The rice was fluffy, but some of the mixed vegetables were a bit over cooked. Nice variety of vegetables though. Report from my friend on the Crab Cakes was that they were "excellent" and "some of the best". No problems there. We took the desserts to go. Now the Bad: When I went up to pay my bill, the gentleman running the register ask if I was using a card and if I wanted to add the tip. He ran the card and gave me the slip to sign. I just glanced at it to make sure the proper tip was on. After I left, I looked at the slip, and noticed that it was a little higher than I expected. Turns out that there was an 85 cent "Non Cash Adj" added on! Apparently, they are charging a fee for using a credit card! I don't think I've ever had to pay a fee to use a credit card at a restaurant before, even this one. What really frosts me is that this charge was never mentioned; it was just added on. That is not acceptable to me. If you are going to charge anything on my card, I want to know about it before you run the card. This ruined an otherwise very nice experience. read more

Usually stop in for breakfast which is very good all the time. I really think the people who work there mean well, especially the owner Steve. It's a tough business. I want to see them continue to succeed, which is why I'm offering up some advice. CHose breakfast today. Ordered SOS with hash browns, a side of scrapple with coffee. The SOS was meh and heavy, the spuds were amazing with a perfect crisp on the outside. scrapple typical for area and nicely prepared, not oily. Not the best brewed coffee. Bill $15 for two people with 2 SOS, 1 side scrapple, 1 coffee. They have a bunch of specials for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the bathroom is gorgeous! I would like to give them another try for dinner, the piled high roast beef, that I would get 10.99. Just don't order the cream beef on toast or drink coffee. read more

Early in the morning on the way to a ski mountain I stopped at this small but nice diner. We walked in to this 50's style diner and took a seat at the counter with prompt and friendly service. I ordered some french toast, and it came out quickly. It was one of the best orders of french toast i ever had! Also i noticed that everyone knew each other, I thought that was kind of nice. Worst service and food ever, first.. I get my French toast with NO BUTTER OR SYRUP. So I had to wait 20 minutes to even find another server to ask for butter, she then went back in the kitchen and said to our server "your table needs you" 7 minutes goes by finally comes over and I ask for syrup finally get it. Then my boyfriend gets his hot open turkey sandwich that literally looked like throw up, but he tried it anyways the mashed potatoes were literally like soup DISGUSTING, the gravy was all chunky. We then wait for our server who was taking forever once again to even check on us after we got our food to see how it was we explain to her to her and tell her what's wrong and her response was "let me grab my manger" not even I'm sorry about that, so the manager comes over and asks what's wrong so we tell him he then walks away with the worst attitude ever didn't even apologize either (I work in a restaurant and my manger would NEVER talk to a table like that) and me being a server that it's not how you talk to your table when something is wrong. So after the manager came over and threw his bitch fit attitude we then sit at our tables for almost another 30 minutes until my boyfriend had to go up to the counter and get the check himself, the server didn't even cash us out the manger did and still CHARGED US FOR EVERYTHING AND WE DIDNT EVEN EAT THE TURKEY SANDWICH. They need to fix their management and get someone else who doesn't act like a 2 year old when something is wrong. Absolutely disgusting and I will never come back here ever again.
