    Autumn pancakes
    Trisha C.

My mom and I stopped in for a brunch on the weekend. We both had pancakes. I had autumn pancakes with apples and candied pecans. They were fluffy and delicious, but needed syrup. My only complaint is that the coffee is weak for my taste. The service was kind and attentive. Our booth was comfortable and up to date.

The Fish Fry Fridays trio broiled special

After enjoying breakfast here a few weeks ago, we saw the blackboard specials in the lobby and planned to return to try the 2/$20, 2/$25 or 2/$30, mix and match, depending on how hungry you are that weekday. Fridays also offer a Fish Friday menu so, I'm ordering the broiled trio and it did not disappoint with lots of haddock, shrimp and a crab cake, a green salad and mash potatoes. $21 My husband ordered the 2/$30 of steak tips, garlic broccoli and Mac & cheese PLUS second entree of chicken fettuccine, bow tie chicken soup and salad. He was thoroughly satisfied with ALL the different options. His 2FER included 2 desserts and he was nice enough to share with me; one rice pudding and one apple cobbler. The real highlight of our dining experience was the ROCKSTAR server, TANYA, who hustled between 5 tables to balance everything yet kept us in the loop. She is a seasoned staffer and priceless. And gratitude to the kitchen staff of Arturo and Eusebio, cooks, who prepared and presented all the delicious food. The multiple menus offer a regular menu book, a lunch menu, a specials menu, Friday Fish Fry menu, breakfast menu, all under one roof. Something for every palate at great prices.

    Cut in half and shared.

Called for a to go order of 3 pumpkin pancakes and 3 Autumn pancakes that were topped with baked apples slices, cinnamon, caramel, and candied walnuts. $20.23. The Autumn pancakes were slpit, more than enough for 2 people. Very good.

Chicken Marsala with mushrooms, onions, fresh cut fries and steamed broccoli
    Esin A.

Town & Country has a country feel, which made us feel like we're far from home. Butternut squash soup was good. Cornbread with butter was a treat that came with meal. Chicken Marsala was a healthier choice with onions, mushrooms, chicken breasts, and it was good. We were looking forward to fresh cut fries, but they were cold. Steamed broccoli had spongy texture. Pumpkin pancakes were okay, egg whites were okay, potatoes also okay. Waitress gave me two scrambled egg whites, but charged me for omelet. What I ordered was egg white omelet with vegetables. Very popular local restaurant.

    Avocado Benedict

The facility is clean and handicap accessible. The wait staff are very pleasant and attentive to the customers. The breakfast menu has varies menu options. I chose the Avocado Benedict. The description read appetizing. The first plate I was give looked good; however the egg was not poached. An eggs Benedict entree, needs a soft runny egg. The next poached egg was a soft boiled egg. I was very disappointed . I guess everyone cannot make a poached egg.

The haddok gave my wife and I food poisoning and I know for a fact it was the fish. It was definitely not fresh, like they claim.

Upon arrival we were quickly greeted by a friendly host who immediately brought us to our seat. The decor is a bit outdated and could use some TLC. Our waitress Marilyn was very attentive with a pleasant disposition. We ordered coffee and water for drinks. Cups were clean, coffee was really good. We ordered from the mini menu. Broiled Scallops with spaghetti (linguini). The scallop were a disappointment, they were tasteless. They were very small, looked and tasted like they were frozen, dropped in boiled in water and served. There was no apparent attempts at searing them, hence no visible golden crust. It was served in melted butter (flavorless) but it did come with a lemon wedge...I guess... Baked flounder stuffed with "crab" meat. This dish was salty, fishy and stuffed with what I would describe as mush. There was no evidence of crab meat (imitation or real). It was over seasoned and mushy. I couldn't eat it but my Bf made the best of it, he doesn't believe in waste. The other customers that were present all seem to be ordering either breakfast or sandwiches, maybe the breakfast and sandwich options are better.

Our waitress, checked in and asked if this was our first visit. It was and she excitedly explained the menu and some suggestions. It was wing night, so when in Rome! Wings are hickory smoked, rendering that fat and then deep fried for a perfect crust. She gladly split the order between sweet chili and the perfect heat hot (buffalo) sauces. We both opted for the two meat plates sampling the brisket, pulled pork & Cheese Stuffed Andouille Sausage along with our sides of Brown Sugar-Bourbon Baked Beams, Pickled Red Beets, Mac & Cheese and mixed vegetables. Let's start with the sides; these are not stuff thrown on the plate. They were tasty and perfect companions to the meats. Brisket and pork were moist with plenty of smoke. The sausage, crisp casing and plenty juicy. No rack full of barbecue sauces here, just the deep flavored house sauce that perfectly paired with the meats. Plan on asking for to go boxes, the portions aren't a joke. No room for desert tonight, but the waitress made sure we knew about the other weekly specials. We'll be back soon(and will post an update) for the Hickory Smoked Prime Rib. And I can't forget about the building and dining rooms. Charming, the scent of wood smoke as soon as you get out of your car. Lots of respect for the historic building.

First, the restaurant is so cute. It's like you're transported to a teahouse! The staff are really friendly, and they let you know immediately that everything is farm to table. The eggs were a deep yellow so I knew it was the truth. If you go, definitely order the biscuits and the mimosa flight. The biscuits comes with 4 different spreads (fig jam, peach butter, strawberry butter, and a brown sugar butter). The biscuits were a good size, and my favorite spread was the fig jam. I wish I could have put some in a jar. The mimosa flight flavors are so fun. I was not a fan of the soursop but the lychee and passionfruit are really good. For the main dish, we tried the chicken & waffle and the tres leches French toast. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and was crispy. The French toast was actually on a croissant. I can't wait to come back here!

The rest of the table got omelettes and enjoyed them too. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu.
