Diners are a dime a dozen out here in PA but i'd like to think Nazareth Diner sticks out in terms of quality, service and ambiance. I have eaten here a handful of times but this will be my first review and i'll kind of reflect on previous visits. Parking for the diner is easy even though this spot is 24/7 and almost seems busy every time i'm here. Once you enter you're greeted immediately and sat within the first few seconds of walking in. Today we got breakfast and it came out quick and this is what my girlfriend, her mother and i ate. My gf had pancakes, eggs and sausage and enjoyed it so much she ate it in just a few minutes! Her mother had the breakfast plate with eggs, sausage and home fries and she finished her plate. I ordered the house made sausage gravy and biscuits with home fries and the plate was huge! i have leftovers but enjoyed the dish and will enjoy eating the rest of it later! My gf and her mom come here every other weekend and like the fast and friendly service along with good prices and decent sized portions. in the past i have had a variety of dishes on their menu and this place has a large and rather unique menu that has a little something for everyone. once i'm living down here this spot will become a regular spot for me too! read more

I was staying just a few miles up the road in Bethlehem and decided to come here. I found the name of the two towns, interesting. I discovered That both were founded and named, by devout Protestant settlers. It's always fun. Learning how places got their name. (history lesson complete, we now return you to your regularly scheduled review.. :). It's a very large diner, and they are open 24/7. The place has a lot of seating, I was served by Ray, and his service was absolutely fantastic, including him coming by to check on me every now and then to make sure everything was OK. I didn't even need to look at the menu. Scrapple and eggs. It's definitely an acquired taste, which I acquired the very first time I tried it It's actually "pig parts", mixed with oatmeal and formed into a loaf. As Guy Fieri would say, "from the heel, to the squeal." It was created by the Pennsylvania Dutch, as a way to use as much of the pig, as possible. . The same way that many Latin cultures do with a cow. It's a rich complex flavor. By itself, it's a bit strong, so I always put just a little bit of ketchup on mine, and the ketchup adds to, and mellows out the flavor. Some hard-core people actually put grape jelly on theirs. I tried that with a little piece of scrapple one time and no... That's a little too hard-core for me. The eggs were perfectly done, the coffee was great, the toast was a high-quality, rye, and instead of potatoes, I asked for fruit, and got a nice cup of very fresh fruit. This is a very popular spot a local recommended for their all you can eat salad bar. It's one of the only salad bars in the area. The salad was fresh and refilled continuously. Salad bar is around $11.75 including tax. There's a different soup every day of the week. Service was welcoming. It's a Monday, and it was packed, it's a favorite place in the Lehigh Valley. Slow giving this diner more stars as it seems to be improving. Rueben was tasty, but could have used a little more meat & less sauerkraut. More like a sauerkraut sandwich with slices of corned beef. Price was good and might be why the skimped on the meat. Also hardly had any sauce. French fries were good. Service better than on past visits. Didn't partake of the salad bar this trip, but it looked well kept & stocked. Typical Lehigh Valley diner where many patrons wear pajamas or sweat pants. read more

Very busy and popular diner but the visit was disappointing. Drip coffee was bad but the Americano replacement was good. Farmers casserole had no flavor. Cobb salad was ok but wasn't worth getting again. The person who had the salad bar said it was very good. Best part of the meal was the carrot cake dessert but even that was average. Hi, I was there today, Sunday, and the food was good and the decor was interesting. with local history. I ordered a glass of the white blend wine and it tasted sweet and just like grape juice. It was horrible. My brother ordered a beer and it was canned beer. My sister-in-law ordered a Chardonnay and the waitress said she didn't know if it was Chardonnay or not. Really? If you're going to serve wine and beer, please do it right. There are so many good wines on the market. read more

We're happy to see a 24-hour diner in this area, but the quality has been slipping for some time. Tonight, we ordered one of their "fry creations"--the Euro (tzatziki sauce and feta)--and it was a disappointment. The sauce and feta were nothing but a blob in the middle of the plate of lukewarm fries--mixing them up didn't improve the quality. They made my wife nauseous. Our previous visit was as bad--1/2 rack of ribs that were somehow tough and dry, a side of corn that tasted as if it were frozen, and pierogis that were air-fried to stone. Otherwise, the staff is mostly friendly (save for one who muttered under her breath because I was looking at the desserts). We're looking for a new 24-hour place, which are few and far between, until the food quality improves (perhaps after paying off all the renovations they've been doing for the past two years). read more

Wow! This place is amazing. We were visiting family in town, we're from AZ. Everyone wanted salad and we heard they had a salad bar. Salad bar was on point! Excellent toppings, not expensive either. The menu is huge! Little. It of everything. I had a hard time deciding! All meals were perfect, salad bar stocked. Amazing soup, beef barley that was thick and hardy. Typical diner, large menu. Got seated right away. Took a bit to get a beverage. Then found out they did not have unsweetened iced tea & I did not quite understand the explanation why-it had something to do with CO2 but iced tea is normally just brewed so I had to settle for a Diet Coke. Everything we've had at this diner has been great. Soups and mashed potatoes were homemade, chicken kebab was made to order, Mini Dinners were perfect portions, charbroiled burgers had charbroiled flavor, breakfast omelet was done right, and you can end your meal on a sweet note with their desserts. Manhattan Clam Chowder and Split Pea were my favorite soups. Chicken Kebab was well worth the half hour wait. Broiled Haddock and Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast were two favorite Mini Dinners. Went for breakfast only once and had egg white omelet with home fries, my favorite breakfast. Sticky bun one day and pumpkin pie with whipped cream on another day were sweet way to end the meal. So the soup and salad bar is good and the food is normally fair to good. Last night I saw on the menu a veal cutlet with gravy. When the meal arrived the mashed potatoes were good but the "cutlet" was ground veal pressed into a patty. Looked like a Tyson's frozen veal patty. Terrible to claim it was a veal cutlet. read more

The Spinach, Swiss and mushroom omelette was good but it was WAY to cheese and almost chocked me and the western omelette wrap was good as well but also to cheesy the service was great and the refills were free. The design of the place is very nice i would go again just maybe try new things. The western omelette is great by itself just don't get the wrap. read more

While Google Maps said it would be 30 min wait, we were seated in less than 2 minutes. The staff was very friendly and Kyle did a great job overall in answering questions and pointing out things from the menu. The food was truly exceptional and for a diner it totally deserves the five stars, actually competes with some of the higher end places I have eaten at over the years. The bread for the French toast is made in house and then sliced thick and was incredibly rich in flavor and texture. The coffee and drinks were kept filled and tasted great as well. Go-to spot for breakfast whenever we're in the area. I've been frequenting this diner for the last 4 years and I'll have to be honest - it's a hit or miss when it comes to the completion of your order which isn't a big deal, but still something that shouldn't be overlooked. That being missing items on our orders sometimes. Like I mentioned, it isn't frequent but we'll occasionally have missing toast and/or sides. Overall the food is good, the folks there are nice. It's a local spot for many people who live in the area. I've done my best to explore the menu as vastly as I could and haven't really had anything negative to say about the items on the menu. Diners are popular all over the East Coast. Fortunately, this diner is a couple of grades above the omnipresent Mel's Diners or the fading Marie Callender's in California. However, they're generally still serving up basic everyday food in an average, but clean setting. This includes the Nazareth Diner. The menu is massive, ranging from breakfast food served 24/7 to pasta with mussels, to even kebabs. There's definitely a huge variety, as well as huge portions at a reasonable price. Most folks end up leaving with a take out container. We were a party of three, and tried the grilled cheeseburger, the basa, and the haddock. All were ok, with the grilled cheeseburger being my least favorite, as it was overly dry. I definitely wouldn't get the burger again, but would opt for either the basa or haddock, as both looked moist. Surprisingly, the self-serve soup and salad bar was probably the stand out. It came as a part of many of the meals, and seemed to be popular with customers, which were virtually all locals. As an aside, the owner was working today, and apparently is usually on site. I think that helps keep up their basic standard of both food and service. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to any diner anywhere, but if it's fair food you want at a fair price in large quantities, then diners generally suffice, including the Nazareth Diner. read more

I was on my way home from an extremely taxing and exhausting day, I missed lunch and found myself extremely hungry so I decided to stop in at the Nazareth diner for a quick bit to stop that growling in my stomach . I walked in and was greeted right away as the staff knows me pretty well , I've eaten at the dinner for over 20 years . I sat at the counter and was pleased to have Angie as my server, the diner has had a huge turnover of personnel , Angie has been there many years . Tonight she helped me decide on what to eat and cheered me up out of my trying tough day. She made me glad I decided to eat at Nazareth Diner . Is the closest thing to a Jersey diner! And they have a salad bar!! Bonus!! Just wish that they were closer and open later.

While the driveway is a little tricky, once you make your way into this spacious diner you will find more than meets the eye. The menu has a wide variety of foods and the Greek Salad is the best I have had since moving from Michigan. The staff is friendly and service is good.
