My husband and I absolutely love this place. When our baby spent her first few months in the NICU we would come in for coffee & breakfast multiple times a week. The staff is and always has been so kind & friendly! (Special shout out to Annie!) We don't make it in as often now that our baby is home.. but when we do it's always on point! Found this place while looking for somewhere I could have a chai latte and meal while studying between classes. What a gem! Everything on the menu looks amazing but I had a chai latte with oat milk and the Mediterranean grain bowl. Both were excellent. The pita bread that came with the grain bowl was excellent and the customer service was also wonderful. Very friendly and kind employees. This place did not disappoint! I got a cold brew and the French omelet from the weekday brunch menu. The cold brew was balanced and not weak/too strong. The omelet was delicious! It was a little runnier than I had expected, but to be fair it was a French omelet. The sourdough that came with it was good but it wasn't as sour as I would expect a Californian sourdough to be (however I think that is a personal bias). The staff was very polite and friendly. New place to the Canyon Crest Shopping center but not to Riverside. The food looked so good I over ordered and took home for the family. Everything was delicious. Ordered a coffee (Gibraltar) while waiting for my food and that was rich a tasty too. Scones were flavorful, horchata french toast was nice, sandwiches were amazing. We come here every two weeks to pick up our daughter from UCR. The staff is really friendly, the kind that remembers your name. The coffee here is fantastic, smooth, great body flavor, and non bitter ending. I don't drink coffee but here I do for some reason. My wife is a coffee snob, and she buys her beans here. The food is interesting, and the flavors are always good. I think their baked goods could use some help. Their biscuit is more of a crisp, and the sourdough is always overly dark for my tastes. But the ingredients are local, fresh, and amazing. Never seen such sep orange eggs yolks and because they are fresh they don't have that horrible egg after taste ...you know what I'm talking about. It lingers I. The water cup and make it taste nasty! The prices are pretty reasonable for breakfast fare. Suggest also the original location on Chicago in riverside. The ambiance is great! The downside for me is that I did not favor the food. I got the salmon Benedict. The fried capers were not preferred and the Hollandaise sauce was so thick that you could not taste the egg or smoked salmon. Also the the line to order was tremendously long and we waited 45 minutes for our food to be ready. Not recommended. read more

It is so nice to have a a coffee place like this in Riverside. This gives me hope! For years I have stopped by Stumptown and Blue Bottle when I am in Los Angeles, but there was nothing of equal quality in Riverside. Not anymore! Riverside has moved up in the world. Here, they have beautiful and delicious coffee drinks, and the quality of the coffee itself is obvious when you smell and taste it. The pastries and sandwiches are excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is indoor and outdoor seating and restrooms. The location is great too--plenty of free parking and adjacent to many different shops. I had previously gotten a tri tip sandwich during lunch which was pretty good, despite the small portion. I expected a similar quality of food for breakfast but I felt like both dishes I had were a miss. The meal started off with a 30 minute line. And rather than trying to quickly get orders in the front staff extended small talk which I thought was a bit inappropriate given the very long line behind me. The brekky sandwich was made well and the biscuit was delicious, however it could have used an element of sweetness. The size was pretty disappointing. I'd give it a 7/10, but absolutely not worth the $13 tag on it. The special chorizo hash was especially disappointing. The chorizo was much more similar to dry pepperoni and the potatoes were closer to steak potatoes than what you'd expect in a hash. The eggs, which topped the dish, were a bit undercooked. The carrot brown sugar muffin was underwhelming. It lacked sweetness and was on the dry side. It wasn't all disappointment, though. The swirly? Cookie was absolutely delicious and, if for nothing else, I'll come back for it. read more

Be aware that sign hanging outside does not say "Arcade Coffee Roasters - The Bakehouse" (well on the window it does), so I had trouble finding this place since it is towards the center of the plaza. I came in on Saturday at 9am; place was already half packed (~15 tables indoors, some outside). Menu has unique items. Customer service definitely deserves 5-star; every employee interaction that I had was super friendly. The only reason I gave this place 4-stars is because there are many flies (I saw maybe 50 flies, especially around the dirty dishes area) - they need to invest in fly traps or those air blowers as you walk in because you'll see people constantly swiping their hands to shoo the fly away. As for the food, price is typical of a standard cafe. Quality of food was very tasty (you get what you paid for); I had the blackberry french toast; my friends had french omelette and some type of coffee. By the time that I left at noon, place was packed, and there were 20 people in line. I would come back to this place again. read more

Overpriced and tasteless. The critical factor to a good coffee shop is their espresso. One expects the shot of espresso to be poured quickly, hot, and with a nice flavor. This was anything but: the espresso was sour, served in a shot glass, and cold. I am certain they did not use espresso beans. I also ordered sourdough toast that was not toasted and Served dry. I went in with a friend for some coffee at the Bakehouse on September 24th a.m. A senior hispanic man had asked for a cup of coffee. The baristas, a guy and a girl, were not being helpful towards him at all. This paying customer was simply looking for sugar and cream and the girl just stared at him like she didn't understand a word he said even though he was speaking English. They both were not even trying to find a way to give him a good experience. The man left his cup of coffee and walked out, and the guy behind the bar told the girl "don't worry it's not like he's going to give us a yelp review anyway". Really saddening that this is the attitude of the workers. You should really be mindful about talking about customers in front of other customers, it's very rude and shows your true colors. read more

Don't be fooled by the name, Arcade DOESN'T have a bunch of games you can play...but they do have delicious food, excellent service, and great coffee! I came here for brunch while visiting Riverside, and I was so impressed. There was a pretty long line when we showed up, but the man at the front was moving through the orders quickly so it didn't take too long! We ordered the Tri Tip Biscuit, Carrot Coffee Cake, and Eggs Benedict. I also ordered a black coffee, which they brought out right away. Their patio is in a shopping center, but it didn't feel like it. They have umbrellas on most of the tables, so you can almost guarantee a spot in the shade! The food took a while to come out, but I only noticed because the lady bringing our food was so apologetic and gave us $5 off a drink. If she hadn't said anything, I would have thought they took a normal amount of time preparing the food, especially since it is made to order. Okay, not for the best part...the food... We started with the Carrot Coffee Cake, heated up, and it was incredible. The perfect balance of savory and sweet. Now to the main event, I need to point out is how perfect they cook their eggs. Each one of them looks identical and they have a soft runny yolk and cooked through whites...it was beautiful. It honestly looked like they came out of a machine...and truthfully they kinda did, that kitchen staff was working like a well oiled machine. The biscuits were so flakey and buttery, not dry at all, and a really good size. They tri-tip was a bit chewy, but had a really good flavor. The tri-tip sandwich was pretty messy, but it was delicious none the less! The star of the meal had to have been the bacon that came on the Eggs Benedict. It was such a thick cut and really good quality. It reminded me of a really good pork belly. The hollandaise on the benedict was also delicious, it had fresh dill in it which really elevated the sauce.
