Everything was just ok. We went for breakfast on a recommendation from some family members that had visited before. The restaurant was very spacious and clean. Had a nice ambience with plenty of seating inside and outside. However we found it was a little chilly inside the restaurant, especially near the windows where we were seated. The staff was friendly, but we found that service was a little slow even though it was not busy at the time of our visit. We appreciated the variety of breakfast items. It was definitely catered to international visitors. However, the food itself tasted just average. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato, pancakes, French toast, and the omurice. The eggs Benedict came out cold, the omurice needed some additional ingredients for flavoring, and the pancakes and French toast came out dry. They charged us extra for a little tablespoon of extra maple syrup. The only tasty item was the smashed potatoes. Overall, would not recommend this place. It didn't seem like the price matched the quality of the food or the service.

There are two BankHead Restaurant locations - Canmore and Sherwood Park. Bankhead Restaurant and Lounge offers a versatile environment with its fusion cuisine, whether it be a romantic or family dinner. It's a great spot if you're looking for a mix of international and Western flavors. Reservations can be made directly from their homepage via TouchBistro. There are about 10 spots available in the private parking lot. While it was too cold to enjoy the patio during our visit, outdoor dining is available in warmer weather, and the mountain views from the restaurant are stunning. FOOD: 1. Firecracker Calamari (3/5) - Crispy calamari with sautéed peppers, soy, and sesame. Unfortunately, this appetizer had more side ingredients than actual calamari. It's shareable between 3-4 people, but I wouldn't order it again. 2. Canmore Pasta Bison Ravioli (3/5) - Served with a creamy au jus sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and parmesan. I didn't try this one personally, but those who did said it was just "OK." It comes with one slice of garlic toast. 3. Chicken Nirvana (4/5) - A coconut-based gravy with ginger, green chili, curry leaves, basmati rice, and Kerala parotta. The curry was a bit watery for my taste, and I wished the spices were more pronounced. That said, the parotta was nicely crisp -- always a win. 4. Alberta Beef Short Ribs (3/5) - Served with vegetables and gravy. I had a few bites and liked it, but something felt like it was missing -- I couldn't quite put my finger on what. 5. Atlantic Salmon (5/5) - Paired with a tarragon leek lemon emulsion and vegetables. I rarely order salmon at non-Japanese restaurants, but this was an exception. The salmon was perfectly cooked -- not dry at all -- and the emulsion brought everything together beautifully. The service was OK. The server was pleasant, and our drinks never touched the bottom. However, we had an early dinner time, and they were out of two items on the menu. Would I come back? Maybe. I'll explore other places before coming back.

The Bankhead has an amazing Happy Hour! Best wings I've ever had - get the cowboy rub. Burger was great too, with activated charcoal bun. Great value, great food.

We got here early in the day and there was only 1 person working. They have wide variety for breakfast. We tried the turkish eggs, french toast. The food took a while to be served but it was worth the wait. Everything tasted fresh. They didnt really have a lot of options for drinks that morning. Great location in Canmore next to other restaurants and gas stations. Beautiful view from the restaurant over looking the mountains.

This is a very cute lodge restaurant with beautiful mountain views of Banff. The server was very sweet and helpful. We decided to go with her recommendations and tried the masala omelette, aloo paratha, veggie omelette and a cup of their masala tea. Everything we tried was delicious. Their jams went well with the toast we got on the side. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. They also had outdoor patio seating. We left with our tummies full and smiles on our face!

My husband found this restaurant on Google before we made our way to Banff. They were open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it looked like they just opened up recently when we came in. We ordered spicy parmesan fries, Alberta Beef Short Ribs and a create your own pasta dish (penne and shrimp Cacio e pepe sauce). The fries had such a nice kick to it and was perfectly crispy - delicious! My husband's short ribs was just ok, the meat wasn't tender or soft and lacked a little flavor to the overall dish. My pasta was just okay, I personally thought it also lacked flavor and was missing something I can't quite pinpoint. Also, for an extra $10 I only got 4 shrimps which was a rip off. Overall, service was great! Our server was really nice, attentive and we had a great conversation about Canmore.

Great breakfast with a bit of everything regardless of your preference. Read the reviews of people marking them down for no taste or not traditional flavors, not an issue. Some things may not be 100% authentic but the flavors are amazing. Will return here whenever we are in Ca

Stopped in for dinner on the way to Calgary. Didn't realize this was part of a hotel but the restaurant is nice, clean and cozy. One waiter was taking care of three tables but did a great job! We started off with the spicy fries. They were perfectly crispy and not too spicy. The bison ravioli was a bit over cooked in my opinion but still enjoyable! Would recommend for dinner if you're nearby.

Pulled pork sandwich takeout. SO GOOD!

DELICIOUS pulled pork sandwich!!! Interesting appeal on a charcoal bun, the flavours were sweet, salty, creamy and so comforting! It came with a fancy salad of mix greens and sliced cherry tomatoes. The place looks modern yet charming with florals, candles, soft jazz music, and a stunning lookout of the mountains! A perfect spot for a nice anniversary dinner or special occasion. Highly recommend!!

We've had the pleasure of visiting fantastic bars in a lot of places but Rundle Bar is special. The service level is as good as it can be. The staff makes you feel like you're in their home. They're incredibly attentive but not annoying. We had great conversation with many of the them and they genuinely care about you having a memorable experience. The views on the patio (alfresco terrace) are as epic as it gets with views of the breathtaking mountains everywhere you look. It's been named the best patio in Canada for years and you will see why when you walk out of the beautiful Rundle Bar onto the patio. The menu is made up of classics and signature creations. I had the Ember which is an old fashioned variation made up of high quality spirits and an infused maple syrup it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. It didn't hurt that it came with a smoke show. It was so good that I have to create a separate post with photos and videos vs. detailing it here. Trust me, it's gorgeous!!! Banff has been on my list forever and I finally visited. The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel was equally a place I needed to experience and it didn't disappoint. The Rundle Bar was a bonus I wasn't expecting so make sure you make time to visit this magical place when you finally check Banff off of your list. I'm definitely going back with my beautiful wife because we have to experience it together. You need to go. Salute @thejohnnycocktail

We were afraid we may not get in so late, but when we walked through the front door the place was packed! The restaurant has a modern look with nice spaced tables, unique sections and large glass window walls on 3 sides. We waited about 15mins to be seated. Their menu is perfect sized...about 5-7 selections per section: snacks, small plates, large plates, pizzas and pasta. We started with their bread and butter - the smoked tallow and charred onion butter was amazing. I ordered the shrimp and crab pasta which came on linguini and had chili oil and butter. It was good, but the highlight of the night came in the dessert - banana pie. I was skeptical at first but it was the best pie I've ever had! We had excellent service all night. We had 2 servers taking care of us and both were attentive and excellent. Our bar drinks came within a minute or two of ordering each time. Upon arrival the parking is good. Restaurant is very upscale looking. Has a neat history of the Iron Goat (I will let you read that for yourself). The server came and told us he would be right with us (which means slot to me...vs being ignored). He (can't remember his name..so sorry) was very friendly, very attentive, and helped us with our questions about the menu and also questions we had about visiting Banff in the morning. His recommendations were spot on. We had the cornbread as an appetizer and chicken gyro, game burger, dragon bowl, fish and chips, and French dip. The cornbread was a delicious start. The molasses butter was very mild and added the right touch to the bread. The chicken gyro was made in house and all the flavors married very well together. The French dip was so good, the best I have ever had. Steak was very tender and flavorful and crispy onions were made in house adding a nice touch. Must give Iron Goat a try!
