The barber took his time (about 40 mins) and really tried, but the fade was extremely rough so I asked him to fix it. My first barber is like a brother to me, and I couldn't imagine anyone else cutting my hair. When I moved to California, finding that same level of detail and care was almost impossible for the longest, until I discovered Ali at MJ's Barbershop in Alhambra. I walked in, and she was the only one there cutting a client. Hesitant, I waited, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made all year. Ali is exceptional. With over 15 years of experience, she has a vision for detail like no other. It's more than a haircut; it's an experience. From the precision in my beard grooming, the sharpness in the line up, to the relaxing temple massages, every detail is perfect and necessary every time once you've had it. The way this woman gives me my confidence back should be studied. I can't thank her enough. Over the last 6 to 7 months, she's not just become my barber, she's become a true friend of mine. I check in on her whenever I can, and if Ali can't cut my hair, I'll just have to rough it until she can.

They are very intuitive and knows what looks good with your face/body type. I originally went for beard maintenance and then let him take over. He got my beard shaped the way I wanted and changed my hair style to more suit me more than my previous. After seeing him for about 3 months and how he got my beard looking the way I wanted, and I kinda just let him do my hair how he felt. And it was great. He has a natural talent. The shop has an old school vibe. Very "dude" like. Shop talk and sports is common. It's like your transported back the the way a barber shop should be. All in all, out of all the shops I have been to, this is by far the best and best environment. Did I mention the prices are great? Very realistic and affordable.
